I like that it is vegan. I only cook plant based so I’m always looking for more recipes. I think my family will enjoy this. I make cooking videos too. I’d love to learn more from each other!! Never stop learning and growing! This is a great recipe!
I never claimed these recipes don't already contain protein, the idea is you can make many simple swaps to increase the protein further. Also keep in mind that everyone's idea of "high protein" varies. Generally, I find that those who are not vegan tend to consider high protein to be far beyond what we need, but I make recipes to encourage everyone (vegan or not) to try vegan recipes. Hope that helps!
@@Veggiekins I think that many people have misconceptions about the protien content in different foods. The reality is many grains are higher in protein than many meats (obviously the reverse is true as well) like often wheat bread is higher in protein than bacon or spam and some of the vegans that eat "high protein" are eating higher in protein than "high protein" non vegans. I've looked at thousands of nutritional tables on USDA, NCCDB, pubmed ect... over the past several years so I have memorized the protein content in many foods and the reality is you could get over double what most people can use living off grains and non starchy vegetables are often higher in protein than legumes. Don't get me wrong legumes are great for so many reasons but I don't think the "high protein" trend is worth it for anyone who isn't trying to build muscle at a rapid pace.
@@phillippinter7518 we are on the same page more or less here, and I do have a nutrition education so I am not an excessive protein consumer knowing you can get more than enough from whole plants but again, I also create content and recipes based on what people request and enjoy most. At the root of it all I’m making vegan eating accessible to people with all kinds of preferences when it comes to food. Not everyone will want to eat whole food plant based and that’s ok with me
