Massive fan watching from New Zealand. I've finally caught up with 153 episodes... Now I can start watching Lightfall from the start too. To Mark, Rhi, Tom, Katie, Trott & Kim, thanks for the coolest D&D out there.
Yes! So happy to see another Aerois VOD in my feed after a busy day! Can't wait to see the Stormchasers face off against the four Grief Knights of the Apocalypse. The descriptions of them from the end of last episode were super dope!
I'm about like 400 episodes behind on high rollers but I had to click and comment because of Trotty wearing the Takeshita shirt. Can't explain how happy I felt first learning he was a wrestling fan on hat chat :)
Mark has been thinking about the Ismark The Lesser side quest from Curse of Strahd and decided "This escort quest is to get even just one guardian out alive. Good luck."
it makes the awful rules lawyer gnoblar deep inside me very happy when people on the internet get the bonus action spell rule correct. It was very proud on Sunday, and very proud again today.
Wow! That was the perfect ending to aerois. Thanks so much everyone, it has been amazing, I cried a little. Such a shame Katie wasn't there for it. Just waiting for campaign 3 now!
I love the lore and implied mechanical design of the Grief Knights, these aspects of death, they promise an epic and brutal fight :D Great episode! For the algorithm! ^_^
Since it rarely comes up, thing about find steed. It takes a long time for the initial cast, but like find familiar, after it's initially summoned, it's only an action to summon and dismiss it until it dies. Why did Quill get hit by the ballista when the dead root was the source of light?
Find Steed and Find Greater Steed do let you dismiss them as an action, but unlike Find Familiar, you do have to cast the spell again to bring them back. It just always brings back the same creature unless you permanently dismiss the steed. And even if the dead root was somehow the source of the light and didn't just absorb the light that Quill produced, it would have lit up Quill who the person using the ballista would have known was a big threat.
Jeremiah is right. "The mount dissappears when it drops to 0 hit points or when you dismiss it as an action. Casting the spell again re-summons the bonded mount, with all it's hit points restored and any conditions removed." (Xanathar's Guide to Everything, pg. 156)
Its completely believable. Sentry has a +0 to stealth with disadvantage, Lucius has a +1, Quill has a +2, Nova has I think a +2 or 3, and even Aila only has a +5 from her dex mod, because I don't believe she's proficient, but she does have advantage from the boots and cloak of elven kind. Literally none of them are built for stealth whatsoever and they've almost actively avoided making any kind of changes to mitigate that weakness, like purchasing boots of elvenkind for everybody when they had the opportunity to do so from the centaur in the feywild. WIth their horrendously low stealh scores, they would actually have to get insanely lucky to pass these high level stealth skill challenges. That's why the only successful stealth mission they've ever had was when they went to rescue Quill and they were all invisible and flying... yet despite how successful that was, they've never done it again. It almost makes me believe that they just enjoy fighting every single monster that might cross their path.
@@Demonrifts honestly I've got to imagine it is getting pretty old by now to them, I don't see how it is enjoyable to be so consistently bad at something as a party and not do anything to pivot or adjust! Doesn't quill have bless? like aren't there some ways even if they don't get items that they can buff themselves? Like even the camouflage cloaks that Mark handed to them only a few took advantage of them. I'd be frustrated.
Being behind on these, it really is quite impressive how many episodes there are where they have at least one person missing. Feels like a rarity that everyone is around sometimes.
I don’t know where it is better to watch. I can’t watch live because it’s after bed time. So I usually watch the VOD on Twitch, but thought I’d change it up this week and watch it on RU-vid again.
Available to many spellcasters, just learn 4th level BLIGHT for enemy magical plant life. They take 8d8 (half if they make a con save). Magical plants save at disadvantage and take maximum damage (8d8 = 64 damage) if they fail their save.
@@IcepersonYT ye blight doesn't really seem like a Lucius spell, and he'd have to level to change spells, also nova is only level 5 so no blight unfortunately
