The new teacher’s teaching style also doesn’t seem that effective. Driving is a skill that changes based on the environment. So memorizing the course wouldn’t be a good idea because every course is different. It’s like leaning how to do a specific math problem instead of learning how to do the math so new problems can be solved
I am curious to know if SpongeBob may lack confidence in himself. I remember one episode where he cheated, and he was not panicked about it because he relied on Patrick, and this one, he relied on the blindfold.
This is the most based principle ever... well maybe besides my old high school principle who allowed all of the seniors to troll him on graduation with bouncy balls.
I highly recomend you to watch the Procrastination (S02E17a) episode too. Is one of my favorite episodes of the show and a great Boating School episode too.😊
Video timecode[6:35] Correction, sir, I remember watching these early episodes from my early childhood; Mrs. Puff has made every alternative path there is to get SpongeBob to pass, but he still fails; He actually has like some kind of practical exam phobia for the boating exams, He does indeed pass the course and the theoretical exam, every time, with high marks, but he always fails, miserably on the practical exam.
We had a teacher at my school that no one liked…she would keep the classroom very cold even in winter and said it was the best leaning aid and it felt like if you sneezed wrong she would take 10 points off your grade and her tests were almost always unfinishable if you did finish them it was because you guessed the answer without reading the question or if you didn’t finish them you had to pray what you did finish was all right answers.
This channel is a hidden gem! You've got some awesome content, and I really enjoyed the insights you provide from the school/teacher's perspective. Just subscribed, keep it up! Sending love from Germany!
Thanks so much! I actually visited there 🇩🇪 in 2018 with a small group of American administrators to learn about the German education system. It was a great trip! Thanks for watching! More content to come! 😎👍
You think the episode is also a critique on the educational system in how students are taught to retain and memorize information versus how to apply skills and information inside and outside of the classroom?
You could argue that! It is important to have background knowledge, but even more important to have language and reasoning skills. In other words being taught “how to think!” Thanks for watching! 😎👍
The mention of accreditation reminds me of the My Little Pony two-part episode "School Daze" at the beginning of Season 8 where Twilight Sparkle establishes a school of friendship and tries to get it accredited by the EEA, but Chancellor Neighsay refuses to let that happen because her school enrolls sentient creatures of any species, and Neighsay wants schools to be reserved for ponies only, which reminds me a lot of how former Arkansas governor Orval Faubus unsuccessfully attempted to fight desegregation in Little Rock.
And to think that after all that in the Season 8 Finale, he was betrayed zs the school was taken over by Cozy Glow who is a pony who is stealing all the magic from Equestria and it's up to the other species to stop her. Oh, the irony.
Funny we never knew the name of the new teacher. It's funny that this is the best instructor couldn't tell the class his name. But did like him yeeting the fish out the classroom.
I'd love to see your reactions to some of the episodes from Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide. The entire premise of the show is that it's based in a middle school and they give out "school survival" tips. It's a bit like a live action cartoon, filled with absurdist comedy and a ton of hyperbole, but it'd be neat to hear your take on some of the survival tips they give out. No specific episode recommendation, maybe just check out the first episode of season 1, could turn into a whole series going through all their tips.
Thanks. I plan to film the first episode soon. I have never seen this one, so all of the reactions will be very authentic. I’m looking forward to it, and apparently so are the viewers! 👍 Thanks for watching! 😎
It's cool how you react to spongebob. I fee like even though it's a kid show. I think finding ways to connect to students like this, such as watching spongebob helps connect with them. More teachers should do this.
5:38 I didn’t repeat any grades but I did go to summer school more than once. However I will admit I once got an academic probation in college, but I was able to take a trade school for art and graduate their
I feel sorry for Mrs.Puff. She was finally free for all the torment by Spongebob. But the guy rehired Mrs.Puff, her torment will never end. Yes, Spongebob fail many many times throughout the entire seasons of Spongebob.
In Atlanta, Georgia, the Morris Brown College is a great example of a college losing and regaining its accreditation. It took 20 years, but the school got it back. Hopefully, it stays that way.
Spongebob has all the knowledge to drive a boat but he always panics when he gets behind the wheel. It is like he can't think straight and watch the road at the same time. He can only drive when blindfolded or when Patrick watches him and tells him how to do everything. In the Spongebob movie he has no problem driving a Krabby Patty looking vehicle and says he doesn't need a license to drive a burger. So his bad driving skills is only about driving boats specifically, he is so eager to get his license and afraid of messing up his test it just makes him panic and crash.
I know some students in high school can take driver's education, but it looks like Mrs. Puff has her own boating school. If it's the teacher's private school, can they refuse to take a student who has failed several times?
If it is a small, private school with no other oversight, it can refuse to accept any student based on it’s own admission requirements. Thanks for watching! 😎👍
Your so right about this NO student Is un teachable like I know for me if it was a class I struggled with like math and science I had a 1 on 1 great reaction love SpongeBob
There is a theory that Spongebob is deliberately doing that to Mrs. Puff; he's able to remember the entirety of the Boating Handbook, front to back, and answer everything accurately; he is definitely smart and has shown the capacity to drive with perfection. The theory states that Spongebob intentionally does horrible just so he can torture Mrs. Puff.
4:48 considering SpongeBob in multiple episodes because rich I wouldn’t be surprised if he isn’t worried about that plus like you said it’s an adult boating school he’s at least 24 or something like that so yeah
love your channel its so cool and different in a good way to see a good principal like you have a wonderful and factual take on a spongebob episode. Be careful though viacom (the company that owns spongebob) abuses fair use laws so they may try to strike your channel down because they dont think its transformative and fair use even though it is. Just wanted to give you a heads up but i love your channel and will glady support it:)
6:25 - 6:40 I have always wondered if there is such a thing as "unteachable". If there was, my first guess would be if the student suffers from a severe mental illness where they, at the very least have a severe distortion of reality. I would like to know if that would be the case, but as an educator, I appreciate how much you ascribe to the idea that it shouldn't be an assumed option.
I remember i had a physics teacher who had a very boring voice, but he was kinda funny at times, but i think he was also a teacher at a college? I wasnt too sure, he was sometimes absent for our class and we often had susbitute teachers for his class. One time though we had a substitute teacher that straight up failed everyone in the class and claimed it was because none of us were paying attention, and when our teacher came back he fixed our grades of course, but he was so confused on why everyone was failing with 20s and 40s.
Just a heads up, but I noticed this video isn't in the Spongebob playlist. Enjoying your reactions to them and your perspective on things, good job. 🙂👍
Definitely check out the show Community. You’ll love it and literally every episode is full of school related stuff to react to. Dean Pelton is an interesting character, though he does sort of calm down a little in later seasons. It’s a hilariously absurd show full of 4th wall breaks and background jokes it will take you multiple watches to get.
Hey Brandon I also recommend that you watch M3GAN, Road To Perdition, Back To The Future Part 3, Good Burger, Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile, O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Wonder Park, Frozen 1&2, Sonic The Hedgehog 1&2, Men In Black 1&2, Coraline, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissorhands, Apollo 13, Armageddon
10:53 I would have easily failed the 2nd rule cuz I'm a junk food junkie I love junk food (FYI I'm not fat I'm actually pretty skinny I guess it's cuz of my metabolism) and also sometimes I like to sell snacks to my friends for $1 each so yeah I would have easily failed this one.
I've had experience where i wasn't inspired to learn under my Home Economics teacher. She had a stale personality. The only time she showed emotion was when she got frustrated. All the other time, she just had this kind of bland personality, and i think that reflected on my urge to learn or lack of inspiration to do well in her class. I'll admit i was out my depths at times, but being in a school whilst being autistic, which i was undiagnosed at the time, it made learning more of a challenge as she didn't have the personality to inspire me nor the patience or teaching versatility for my situation. I do somewhat take responsibility because i was out of my depth being autistic in a non autistic school. However, my Home Economics teacher clearly didn't understand my situation, and she really didn't try to go the extra mile for me. If a teacher, like her, was uninspiring, then i was uninspired to do well. She was probably the worst teacher for me and my circumstances. A sign of a good teacher is one who has personality, goes the extra mile, and will have versatility for each individual rather than just apply this one type collective group method on individuals who clearly differ in their individual capability levels. She looked at the class as a group, and her teaching skills certainly was that of applicable group teaching. That's a method that i feel is hit or miss, in my opinion, and she missed when it came to me.
Thanks for sharing this. This is why we need more engaging, understanding teachers! Those that are this way end up being everyone’s favorite teacher! 👍
But it is Mrs. Puffs. According to the law of Bikini Bottom, it's illegal to hold a student responsible for failing school, it's suppose to be the teacher's.
I've been a spongebob fan since I was a kid and as an adult now,I understand Mrs puff and feels she deserves to be happy to be fired and away from spongebob,Cause he always fails his boating/Driving tests and makes her life a complete mess Also spongebob in the show has failed mrs puff driving tests 38 times(at least starting season 1) The show itself doesn't have much continuity so it's hard to tell which episodes take place after one another but any episode from any season could be among the 38 times spongebob failed mrs puff tests
Hey sir ive got a request for a spongebob school reaction its "Artist Unknown" while its not your standard spongebob school episode it is about art school so id be very interested to see what you think
I just discovered your channel, loving it so far! It would be awesome if you reacted to My Little Pony Friendship is Magic school related episodes. New subscriber!
When I was a student back in Grade School and Highschool, it was not the teachers that were the problem. It was me because I had a bunch of problems back then that were behavioral and it was not easy to deal with. I started college at 22 in Fall of 2022 Semester and well, it was a very rough start. Got back up in Spring of 2023 Semester, but then a health issue made it extremely hard right back in Fall of 2023 Semester. One lesson I learned is this: The teacher or instructor is not the problem unless they actually display neglect and other issues. The student has to take accountability for their own unacceptable decisions, whether they like it or not. The student also needs to adapt and let the teachers and instructors know if they need help. Communication is important. Being too easy will not let them learn.
I think that it is different in every case. Sometimes it is almost solely either the teacher or the student. Other times it is a combination of factor. Thanks for sharing this! 👍
@@SchoolPrincipalReacts Well, I can say this: I was the main issue back in Grade School. Except, it moved differently at one point. Complicated time. As I started college, I noticed I was moving differently. Over time, I got better but there will be times when you fall hard on your face lol. Part of living.
