It would be neat that instead of height sliders they did, short average, tall. So like tall Sims will always bend for a kiss, where as short Sims always look up on tip toes, so they both reach the height of a average sim when kissing. If that makes since 😅

It would be super cool if they included a yearbook in this pack. If we’re getting superlatives with prom then we could view them there and your friends could sign it. Also a school picture day

I think the carnival is a nice addition. As someone who grew up in rural USA, I know it’s not relevant to everyone, but fair week is huge. A lot of my teenage memories are me and friends just roaming the fair booths and rides all week in groups.

As for the main characters, they're supposed to be seniors I guess, seeing their prom/graduation. So they would be 17/18 :D As for gameplay, I'm pretty sure it's going to be like the GTW pack and the Get To School mod, where you get a pop up in the morning and you can either join them for the day or not :)

Clare!!! James Turner did an amazing makeover of the library lot on Moonwood Mill, with a huge underground place to explore with the places we discover while exploring the sewers. You should definitely try it.

If they add graduations where you can actually watch them get their diploma they should add that to the uni pack too

It's been awhile since high school for me, but I know some schools have carnivals around homecoming. And my city has a carnival every summer that's really popular with local teens.

Not all teens are gonna look the same. Also some teens hit puberty earlier than others. And some teens these days look like adults anyway so it's not that far off. There are 15 year olds that look 21+ already. It make sense to have a variety of teen sims that look like teens and teen sims that look older than they actually are because that's how it is in real life.

A few things I have questions about. 1. Is there a new principal carrier? 2. Can more then one sim go to the high school? Let’s say you have twins. 3. Can you go in the fairs weel. 4. How many lots is it going to have? 5. Can other people ask you to prom autonomously? 6. Can a parent ground there kid if they get caught sneaking out without the parenting pack? 7. Can you go to competitions for cheerleading club? 8. Do you have to try out for the clubs. 9. Can you get kicked out from clubs? 10. Is there a school bus? 11. Are we getting cars if there is a school bus? 12. Can a sim get sick at school and get sent home?

37:59 that's the principle giving her daughter a diploma.. the principal who's is in the house when the girl is sneaking out! Look at the hair! So she is at home with her mom.!

i think this pack will be really cool, and i feel like you wouldn't be bored of it

The carnivals is kinda of a homecoming thing in high school, I don’t know if you have homecomings in the UK but it happens usually after a home football game leading up to prom! Usually homecoming is a big party or carnival so the seniors can have their last bit of fun and freshmen can celebrate their beginning years of high school!

to be fair, as a highschooler, its quite surprising how many teens look like full adults

The boards are promposals. Basically you do a huge thing(typically using a sign) to ask someone to prom.

In the scene when you first see the classroom, the teacher is Fletcher from Discover University !

It’s so fun that you say it’s unrealistic and stuff, and that teenagers don’t look like that. As a teenager, I look like that, my friends look like that. I get that you’re probably missing the tween phase but this is honestly pretty realistic for teens:)

Hopefully it will be like the careers where you can join your sims at school if you want or send your sims by theirselves

I completely agree that they look too old. There should be a visual difference between teens and young adults. Yes, some teens these days are looking "adult" earlier, but MOST aren't walking around with 5 o'clock shadows. There's also the element of constant confusion. I've lost track of the amount of times I've tried to set my Sim up with someone, just to realize they're a teen after several interactions. Toddlers have chubby cheeks. Children have oval heads. Softer features that fall between children and young adults would be great.

During the trailer I spotted a few different arrangements of Polaroids on the walls, plus the Polaroid camera!! It seems to me that the Polaroid camera will be function!! I don’t see any reason it wouldn’t be but ig we’ll see. I don’t see any reason it wouldn’t be since we have regular cameras. I have really high hopes for this pack!!

Carnivals are not part of the school per say, but they do move around towns and a lot of times get placed in the school parking area if it's big enough. And typically these types of moving carnivals are attended by teens

That’s the principal and in another pause she is excited about uniforms because she sees a student in a dress suit style outfit. That also is the principal. So that is the principals home that she is sneaking out of… lol cuz she is her daughter

Just so some people know, my high school (in the uk) has there lessons start at 8:35 Also it would be so cool if they add a school photo day that happens annually (every sims year) or even every time they age up. Also days off, like bank holidays or half term.

Art deco and art nouveau can be easily confused with each other, I think. Both are very ornate and detailed styles, both appeared as reaction to major world events (Nouveau to the Industrial Revolution, and Deco to WWI), so Deco was kinda "born" from Nouveau in a way, clearly heavily inspired. The difference is that art deco is very symmetrical, very geometric, a lot of straight lines, very sleek and "machinistic" designs; while art nouveau is kinda asymmetrical, draws inspiration from organic shapes like plants, flowers, animals (fictional or not), a lot of curvy lines, decorative and intricate designs. A good example that I think can really show their visual similarities and differences is Arcane. Piltover is heavily art deco inspired, bold and bright colours, so straight, so symmetrical and pristine. While Zaun is very art nouveau inspired, spiraled windows and doorframes, darker tones, very organic and "grimey". Edit: typo and grammar

They should make the school like a work from home job where you can choose to join or stay with the household while they go to school.

I love the idea of sneaking out but i just know that half my sims will go outside the house and climb through the window to the bedroom rather than just taking the stairs like anyone normal would 🤣🤣🤣

There should be a mall you can go to with friends and you can shop and actually be with your sim(s)

I did cheerleading in elementary school and we actually did more stunts than our highschool cheerleaders did😂😂 which now that I think about it is semi dangerous for like 8 year olds😬😂

It reminds me of my school town. It’s a small town and a beach town. The carnival is at the beach every summer and lots of people go. There’s a parade to kick it off that includes mostly school floats like sports and the band.

watching non-americans not understand piers makes me laugh so much. it's not specifically a high school thing. there are just a lot of them in the US.

Oh yeah, county fairs are a big deal in the US, it was super popular when I was in highschool to go after school with a group of friends and look at the show animals, eat some greasy carnival food and go on some carnival rides. Coming from a long line of farmers, the fair is a big deal, you buy the animal of your choice to show in early to mid June and get them nice and fat, train them to walk for the judge panel and hopefully win a medal for your animal and then auction them off at the end of the fair week. There's concerts, horse races, tractor pulls, antique shops to walk through. If you're ever in America in September, see if you can find a local county fair to check out, they're a lot of fun to wander around.

So im not american but my highschool was in a small town and the field is the biggest park in the town- so the yearly carnival usually took place on campus

Corsages are kind of old school. I know people in the bridal party sometimes wear corsages. Also school dances would be a typical event where you see a corsage and usually your date give the corsage to you.

it is a struggle clare, at my school in the US we arrive at 7:20 and finish at 2:30 the earlier dismissal does help though all that said, love your videos clare!!

The carnival at least where I’m from is the one event teenagers get free time away from there parents where EVERYONE meets up at. But it only comes around once or twice a year.

Some places here in the US have piers with rides and shops open all year to hang out. Proposals weren't a thing when I was in HS, guys just asked. However now there's the boards, surprise parties etc.

What I'm most excited about is the ferris wheel and the other carnival rides even though their rabbitholes they can still ride all this stuff and in the case of the haunted house go thru it.

When the Principal's daughter was sneaking out, the person in the window was actually the Principal, I believe. And later on, when she was playing with the mirror, I think she was doing the "Bloody Mary" game, trying to scare her friend.

I was so burnt out in the sims4, this is definitely gonna bring the fire back.

I went to two high schools in two different states, and they both started at 7:45 AM and ended at about 2:30 PM.

sports is just a huge thing in the states 😂 i live in michigan and high school games and up are major! we even have summer leagues for this kids. from like 6years+

Ngl changing teenagers heights would be so much work for something that’s only cosmetic. Also everyone’s different as a teen like there’s loads of people 16-19 that look more adult ish . Sims teens are around 16-18 as they prepare for uni and stuff. I think people forget that most people have reached their adult height by that age and can literally move out n stuff. Ik people who look old for 18 and people who look young for 18. It’s just how you dress/act etc🤷🏽‍♀️ I’m looking forward to prom but also the boba tea

the carnival area is a pier that has some rides on it, in coastal cities they have those sometimes (like coney island), they added it to the world for a promposal spot. the feris wheel is a woohoo spot too. Ash is ace, her nails are painted with the ace flag. theres another of the blue squares on the other side of the arch, i think its like the city living curtain dividers. were also getting a way to make trans sims, the trans flag is rught next to the basegame update icon in the roadmap gif

I remember one year, a guy that I knew from choir asked a girl to prom by coming into our English class where he played the guitar and sang a song. I'm pretty sure he gave her a bouquet of flowers too. She apparently knew he was going to ask, she just didn't know HIW he was going to do it. It was pretty cute and they made a good couple at prom.

Fairs/Carnivals usually have no connection to actual high school however it's usually where a lot of teens will hang out together plus sometimes your class advisor will have your class participate in a bake sale or something there or at games or whatever to raise money for a senior trip. That's just my experience in rural NY tho

High school football is a big deal, it monopolizes the extracurricular budget for public schools, the first game is usually a huge deal especially for public schools. State fairs are extremely common especially in the Midwestern US, for band kids it's one of the biggest performances they have outside of competition or games, they usually happen July-September. High school cheerleading stunts are extremely limited for safety reasons.

So the Carnival thing is well for me called the frolic and it’s what the town does. it’s for the last few weeks of school.

So art Deco is the strict geometric version like this. The less symmetrical more flowing lines style that we got with realm of magic is more art nouveau. And I would love more of it. The trouble is if they made matching swatches even if it suited the new theme it would rub some people the wrong way and they'd feel like the team had been withholding them.

Not all schools in the US start at 7:00Am. I live in NYC and it started 9:00AM.

I hope that they don't have dorms, but it's like get to work so when it's time for School it asks if you want to join them or not. And then after school they come home and you can play with the whole family again. And you don't have to join them everyday.

so looking forward to it. I hope they actually do bring to our attention heights in the game - And also, maybe a sneaky attractions system that you can get with Wonderful Whims. But I think I will get it, it looks like there's a lot going to be added in. It would be nice to know though, what they choose to do for the rest of the family experience,? Like will there be "Give your teens pros and cons about who they should date, and who they want to date? Or maybe in careers.... when they do go to university. Also, do we think there will be a bubble tea death? Because they didnt say if there will be. Interesting, interesting.... awesome run down of the trailer.>
