In this second instalment from my day out to Peterborough, I have moved to the island forming platforms 2 and 3. We get a good long view of the ECML north and south of the station as various Inter City 225 and Azuma units come and go. There is even a guest appearance by the Flying Banana, to remind of the days when the HST rules the ECML.
Platform 1 appears to give a better viewpoint at the south end because it is longer but it is normally occupied by a 12 car class 700 which limits the scope for filming.
