Great documentary. I still don't understand why she would go and totally undress at Blenheim Palace. Also, as a previous owner of some men's couture, I do not think the USA designers get near enough credit. Just go and look at some of our movies from the 20s to the 50s; the whole world wanted to dress like us, and basically still do. Thanks again, I enjoyed all 4 episodes.
Quite ironic that at that times people crazily criticized these kind of services, labelled it as some bourgois capitalism products for the evil elite etc...and now when it has become a lost art, the new generation start to learn to appreciate it.
As soon as mrs Bloomingdale said she didn't want robes with embroidery, due to the price, my heart sank... Nobody in their right mind says no to a dreamlike garment decorated by Maison Lesage !
“I never not saw her well dressed”. ✩ Well no shit, if I had money like that I would never have a bad day either. But unfortunately, I am just like the rest of you guys: an ordinary ass person 🙃😬
Agree absolutely, with access to millions of dollars it's terribly terribly easy to look great and well dressed all the time and having dozens of servants to do everything for you, HELLO !
