I had a great overnight backpacking trip. This lake is challenging to fish. I made the trek twice last year and got skunked so it was nice to make it back and find a few fish. Tight lines my friends. My other channel @SawForgeGarage
Really interesting and fun video... Thank you my friend for sharing this beautiful video. I love watching it. I will try to come back and watch your next video. Keep the spirit in sharing my friend. My support will always be there for you
The Spanish were all over the Uintas. One day while gathering cows I found what looked like a rock oven. I was told that's where they melted down their gold and silver ore.
Yeah there is a lot of history up there. A few years back I was in a pretty remote area a mile or so from the trail and came across a couple treasure hunters canvasing the area with metal detectors looking for treasures.
Awesome Dustin! That was some redemption fishing you had for last year when we were in there! You landed some nice Brookies! That camp is so sweet! I may have to go there in the fall even though I swore I was taking a break! Looks like you had some weather which I did not have on Fri-Sat out there at Packard. I'll get in touch soon!
Nice video. I was also in the Uintas on Thursday. I fished two different lakes in two different drainages and there was a lot more wind going than what I saw on your video. You gotta love it baby.
How was the fishing where you were at? Yeah this was pretty much the first time out for me this year that I haven't dealt with high winds. It was great.
Nice! Not going to be able to make the trips like years past. We drew a couple limited entry archery deer tags and nephew drew a limited entry archery elk on the Manti.
In August of 2020 you had a video titled an off trail overnighter. On your hike you mentioned crossing boulders. I would appreciate it if you would tell me the approximate distance you have to walk on the boulders. And also is this the only boulder field you have to cross ?
Hey David. it's actually hard to answer. I've been there several times and each time took a different path. It's possible to get up there crossing little to no boulders. That said, you can make a relatively easy hike really hard if you try other approaches.
