High Uinta Highline - Day Two

Day two of the trek. With no major passes to go over this was one of the easier days. We took a break around the half way mark where I caught a healthy brook trout. Mckell caught several. We found a beautiful little off trail pond to make camp, which was probably one of my favorite camps of the trip. Such a beautiful place.

Another great day. You landed a nice brook. Well done. These lakes back in there do not get much action so they are typically great. The long miles are a tough thing to do but the views and the fishing sure make up for it. Nicely job on your video and journey so far. Take care.

Thanks again Steve. I'll do the trip again definitely because several of these lakes need a dedicated down day to fish. Next time, more days for more down time.

I found most the lakes we fished along the trail or just off the trail all had very healthy trout.

Really enjoying this series! Everytime I watch one of these vids I wanna go backpacking/fishing. Been getting more time in with the fly rod and it's addicting!

The Highline was so amazing. Every step was worth it and I'm already planning on soloing it next year with more down days to fish some of the lakes I found along the way. Toss some leaches next time for sure. They are very successful up there.
