Highest Horsepower Awd Civic Wagon?

Went and got Charlies wago retuned today and ended up making 100hp more than before, ending up with 450whp. It will need a new head gasket since its pushing 30psi and coolant is coming out the overflow but once that is replaced it shouldnt have any problems. As far as I know this is the highest hp rt4wd civic wagon. We know there are much higher hp awd civics but none that have kept the awd drive train in the wagon. There are also very high hp fwd civic wagons to but we couldnt find anything online about a fastest awd civic wagon, so we may have the fastest one on the internet.

DAprojectTurtle I meant that you were insinuating Kyle and Brad were related. Anyways, who cares if they use cheap parts as long as it's not spewing oil all over there stuff. Obviously he had a small amount of blow by but that has nothing to do with the motor mounts, tie down strap or ebay turbo. At the end of the day they are getting paid to tune a person's car. If it only last a few weeks or months that's on the owner for cheaping out. The point I'm making is everyone has a different budget and I dont think tuners should discriminate based on parts brands. I've seen really good parts go to waste because they were installed improper and cheap parts last because someone installed them proper. A lot of tuners in general D ride on certain brands. PFI seems to do it because he is genuinely interested in seeing what the setup can do and see his customers happy.

Their problem was head lift due to the head studs not being torqued down properly. They tightened the studs down properly but the damage to the head gasket was already done so they have to get a new one.

Bruv, plz dont do iron on shirts anymore they're shit quality, use the machine for stickers but do shirts on TEESPRING or just get them screen printed locally for $4 each. Trust me I've done printing for 10+ years and transfers are not worth investing time into. Don't shoot the messenger, dank vids

Craig Cundiff Yea that too. Or make a brace from the valve cover or side of the head to the firewall with quick release pins so you can install/remove in a heartbeat. Put a heat gun near em for an hour or 2 in an attempt to get it to cure first, it's worth a shot.

Doodz. it doesnt take a week for the window sealer to dry in the mounts yo... you need to bring the mounts in the house and let em dry where its not -26° !

Charlie you should try halfassing a water injection setup and blow it right into the turbo inlet. Get a washer bottle with an integral pump(I know old vws have em, I don't know if a Honda does) Anyways , get some old carb jets or even flatten the end of a piece of tubing. Mine would squirt a pencil lead sized stream for about 8 feet in the free air. It might work or not , reason being , it could puddle up in the intercooler possibly. It's worth a try I think. I've used this on a setup years ago with no intercooler and it worked great. I've never driven with nos but I could feel a nice hit when I activated it. Use blue washer fluid, it's about 30-35% methanol , but you can go up to 50% methanol/water if you want. Like I said , only issue might be puddling in the intercooler but you won't know until you try it.

There's a product called Sikaflex Concrete Fix; it's a polyurethane sealant for fixing cracks in concrete. It's the most bomb ass shit for sealing ANYTHING and dries hard but remains flexible. Try that stuff for a motor mount fix.

a little tip I have leaned if your gasket is trash take it out and use a small layer of bearing grease. it will seal the two surfaces once it cooks on (only if both surfaces are true)

3M Window weld the mounts, I've used that stuff numerous times, works great. If you need to cure it faster, place the mounts above a hot pot of water. All those adhesives needs heat and moisture for a full cure. Silicone is rubbish, construction adhesive is rubbish (for this application). Read the data sheet for window weld. It is rated at 700% elongation and has a greater durometer than factory rubber, it doesn't break under load. Can't do that with construction adhesive or silicone, the stuff will crumble. Also, don't forget to keep some coolant in your reservoir so the engine can siphon back coolant when it cools down, you don't want to be replacing another head gasket due to an air bubble you could have prevented. Great stuff otherwise!

I had a turbo EG8 sedan, D15B7 it made 221 whp before it spun a bearing lol. After the rebuild she ran reliably at 261 whp for 121,000 miles. Still see her around, smoking now though. Don't think the new owner knows how to maintain it lol or they probably just got addicted to the boost.

hey if your problem with charlies wago keeps happening chech your throttle position sensor behind the throttle body. my crx did the same thing and only went up to like 2500 rpm. i replaced it and it was fantastic after that. keep up the good vids!

the black intercooler will actually do some weird things to your air temps at the inlet and outlet of the intercooler. Black has interesting emissivity properties that are much lower than silver, so it will actually give you a cooler charge temp out of the intercooler. Might Car Mods did an interesting segment on this years ago and showed that black intercoolers actually work better than silver.

Every once a month or so put a little ATF in your gas, it will keep your rings and injectors clean and smooth. That E85 corn gas is total shit, will eat up a motor alive. For real mad props that wagon is insane!

Cool setup guys. I ended up getting rid of my Wago to fund one of my K series projects. Still miss my D series stuff sometimes though; that's where I started and even though my new builds are all faster/more legit I had just as much fun with my old D16Z. Next time, when filling your mounts layer the poly into the mount a little layers at a time and as that layer gets tacky add another until it's filled. It takes about 2 days.

DUDE energy suspension / prothane motor mount inserts, its like $12 each side. will make your mounts solid, installs like 5 min each.

Some quite fun projects you guys have going :-) One thing I keep thinking is it must be annoying with exhaust nuts getting loose all the time. Here's what I do, and I think many others do too. You can use exhaust assembly paste, which is rated for +1000 degrees celcuis. It hardens when exposed to heat, so the nuts won't come loose from vibrations. Other than that you can use heico-lock washers, which have grooves that are steeper than the thread, so it won't easily come loose. It's easy to see how when looking it up on google.Hope you can use this, have fun :-)

Pr0ximaCentauri Cruising around sure, but its also freezing there right now. I imagine when summer rolls around if its warm out that little radiator wouldnt be enough. Doing drag runs in my Miata even with a bigger radiator and only making half the power they are was getting it hot, it was like 85 degrees at night.

GearHeads Garage Those rads come in the 5th and 6th gen Civics from the factory. They are perfectly fine. It s a common swap for the 4th gen chassis to get more room since it has a full rad where the turbo on Charlies car sits now.

Try using 3m Window Weld instead on the mount. Its super stiff and looks better because its actually black. I used it on my torque mounts and they are still holding up. Takes a few days to cure though

+BoostedBoiz black absorbs radiant energy (like sunlight) but it also sheds heat better than a silver surface. The spraypaint acts like insulation, so you need to anodize it so that the layer is too thin to be insulation.

black things irradiate more heat but equally absorb more heat as well. ex. wearing black in the summer will get you hotter than if you were a lighter color. so the intercooler while standing still (moving with a black intercooler changes the dynamics of this physic completely) can have more efficient cooling.

If you hard mount the engine it's only a matter of time before you start cracking welds, castings and so on. Sadly you kinda need hard rubber or urethane bushing. If you go hard mounts it would be cool but you'll need to start welding the sh&@ out of the engine bay and where mounts connect to the engine will need beefing up.

Hey guys next time when torquing the ARP's if using those head studs torque them in 3 equal steps. That's probably why the head gasket took a shit. Honda head gaskets can handle some boost.
