Hey Guys, You know we are always lookiing for an alternative engine degreaser or cleaner. While visiting a friend a year or two ago he was spraying down an engine and I couldn't believe how clean that it got. I asked how many cans of brake cleaner did he use ! That is when he showed m e a bottle that had a purple liquid in it so then he told me it was purple power and you can get it at walmart in everything from a quart up to a gallon. You mix it a 1/4 cup to a gallon and man did it work great ! You may try it its cheaper than the brake cleaner too ! Keep u the good work. You have sure changed my mind about the honda wagons and hondas in general ! Have a great Christmas !

FYI that 3m window urethane activates with moisture. If you get a spray bottle and keep it moist it will cure ALOT faster. the last body shop I worked at had us install our own windows and im in AZ so in the summer that stuff takes FOREVER unless you wet it.

you buy rods and pistons but cheap out on a motor mount. 🙃

Get two part polyurethane mix for your mounts. The urethane would never break if filled solid.

You got Loctite PL S40, which is a glorified PU sealant. That's why it didn't satisfy; just too soft and weak. You were suppose to get "Loctite PREMIUM Construction Adhesive 3x" (or 8x). This is the best bang for the buck. This will set and become super hard polyurethane. If you're going on a budget, this is it! $7. If you love that solid mount feel, you cant' beat it.

Just an idea. I think if you lay the window sealer in layers it will harden up. It's probably not getting enough air flow throughout to get hard😉

best thing I have used to clean a block is air craft stripper then I spray it with aluminum wheel paint looks brand new and it lasts

Idk If I'd trust them with my car because they do great work but they do it ghetto aka tire pressure boost gauge and Mountain Dew coolant over flow, but I say they open up a mechanic shop type thing in their garage, they would probably be packed.

It won't dry because it's too cold for it to settle, throw it in the oven on low heat(200-250) for until it gets dry. I've done this during the winter as well and it never settled until I got some heat on it

Copper spray is actually good. I'd check the stud and head before attempting again. Maybe they're all stretched out. And that front. Spanner mount actually looked pretty good lol. Like if served a purpose in preventing back and fourth movement.

Hey man you should get a guard for that grinder, the abrasive discs shatter pretty often. Gloves won't protect you fully.

put a k24a2, with rods, pistons in the wago, boost it and call it a day :D

The hole in the side of the handle/trigger of the calk gun is for clipping the end off the caulk tube.........your welcome

When you use that vtec head on a d16a6 block it will raise the compression.

guys its 15min if you caulk a crack. a motor mount is bigger than crack

That's a lot of caulk gonna take more like several days to dry out if not longer 15 mins. maybe on a 1/4 inch bead out side will dry faster than the center will

you should spray paint the engine Bay with bedliner. like three layers of bedliner would look very nice

you can check the head for warping yourself if you have a big enoungh piece of glass. set it on there and see if it sits flat boom

please actually allow for the mount to dry and cure before you judge it. It takes a few days to a week depending on temperature.

should have got liquid polyurethane, just saw some guy do his mounts on his mr2 with that. but he marked them up, so that the holes for the bolts were exactly the same as stock one. he made them half stiff from stock and what they usually sell.

you guys should really check that head.... especially if one of the bolts was loose.... no need to pay a machine shop just do it yourself use a piece of glass... flat Edge find something flat. that way you guys don't waste any more of your money on gaskets. good luck keep the vidz coming.

Need liquid polyurethane also cant install till fully cured up to 2'days in the hot sun also make sure its clean. 3-4 days in the house.

that black box is your pcv system, don't remove it unless you want oil leaks.

Seriously those head studs are torque to yield and one time use. Probably why you are having issues.... Bite the bullet and put new studs in each time you pull the head. Oh and you may have to bake that mount to help it dry, think it's too cold where you are

Do the back of the head studs go into an open cavity or does it terminate in metal? I ask because, one way those can loosen up even after you tighten them is if you have fluid or excess assembly lube. As the fluid heats up, it obviously cannot compress and it will back out the stud. So make sure they are completely clean and free of liquid. Just a bit of assembly lube (which usually dries up)

it takes 3 days to fully dry but I would give it 4 days

Still tha wrong stuff for tha mounts lol. Home depot has construction adhesive that has a 8x stronger symbol. Tha caulk tube is yellow and blue. Its made for contractors to use instead of nails ect.

what about that blue or red nylothane (I'm not sure how it's spelt) but that works well and is harder than rubber
