I remember this game. People forget how good Carson Palmer was before his knee and elbow injuries. Guy had an absolute cannon for an arm. Rudi Johnson is also a big time underrated running back. Thanks, NFL Throwback.

YES! I was hoping this game would get some love this year. This game is actually the second highest scoring game in NFL history. It's crazy. It really solidifies the rivalry. It would be awesome if within the next few years we might see a Battle Of Ohio in the playoffs. Sadly, most of the time, it's rare if both make the playoffs in the same year. Lol

Houshmanzadeh, a very underrated reciever. Was just as good as Chad Johnson for the bengals.

Everyone knew the 3-7 Browns vs. the 4-6 Bengals was going to be an epic matchup. This game was hyped for weeks on ESPN leading up to the game. Lots of people saw it!

One of the great shootouts in regular season history, for some reason people only remember the equally-as-good shootout by the same teams 3 years later (I suspect because the NFL exploded in popularity in 2007, due to first Spygate intrigue, and then the undefeated Pats and Colts “Super Bowl 41 1/2” - still bitter you guys mistitled that video lol - which of course the Pats ended up taking the distance to 16-0)

This was the greatest NFL throwback I ever seen in my whole life. And it was during my 20s when this game happened. Holy shit, what a football game that was! 🏈

I started watching football in the 2004-2005 NFL Season, and as a Cincinnati Bengals fan, this entire game made number ten on my list of favorite Bengals moments. Why? As I stated above, the 2004-2005 NFL Season was the first season I watched football. I had played football video games before that season, and even "Madden NFL 2002", but watching it was far more complex than playing it via video games. Throughout that season, I was still trying to learn the positions, players names, down-placement procedures, penalties, etc. It actually became a little bit of a struggle. As the season progressed, I wasn't enjoying the games too much. I want to say I watched every Bengals game that season, but I just wasn't sold on the sport. My parents helped me figure out the game(better than the "Madden" game did), but I still didn't like it, even after I was figuring it out. That was, until, the Cincinnati Browns hosted the Cleveland Browns in Week 12 of the 2004-2005 NFL Season. Honestly, it's the game that sold me on football. Truth be told, if this game never happened, I may not be watching football today. I was becoming bored with the NFL Season, and wasn't enjoying it much at all, but this game completely changed my mind on the sport, and I became an avid fan ever since. Just one more interesting fact: In the 2007-2008 NFL Season, the Browns beat the Bengals 51-45, to make it one of the highest scoring NFL Games of all time. It was de ja vu.

That three headed dragon of Chad Johnson, T.J Houzmanzada and Rudi Johnson. This will always be the most fond era of Bengals football even if it wasn't the most successful. We had the tools, things just never seemed to come together.
