"Bonny Portmore" is an Irish traditional folk song which laments the demise of Ireland's old oak forests, specifically The Great Oak of Portmore, which fell in a windstorm in 1760 and was subsequently used for shipbuilding and other purposes.
I love the Loreena McKennitt. She has the voice of an angel. This music brings my Scottish ancestral blood alive. Makes me proud to know my family originated from such a wonderful country.

Bonny Portmore is an old traditional Irish song. I don't think Loreena McKennitt wrote any of it and the line about the Lords of old England is definitely much older than her version. Portmore castle and the surrounding oaks/forest were all destroyed by the mid 1700s. No matter who wrote it though, noone sings it better than Loreena imo:) Just beautiful
The series and the movies have very beautiful songs in them this one along with who wants to live forever are my two favorites great music and great movies go together

I remmember watching highlander with my wife we loved it .As my wife was 25 years older than me. I was 21 back then a toy boy lol i used joke at the seen were his first wife looked older than him in end .But since my wife died five years ago that seen just makes me cry cus i miss her so much but it makes smile to as it brings back so maney loveing memories of her and just love the songs in the movie
This is the secondary theme anyway. Princes of the Universe by Queen is the main theme of Highlander, of course. Highlander 3 was the first time we heard this theme in the series. The episode Homeland was the second, Dramatic License was the third, Not To Be was the fourth, Endgame was the fift.

Even though I barely qualify as an amateur with the bokken (practice katana, Cold Steel, red oak, and white oak, Cold Steel is the best but I digress), Christopher did an AMAZING job, considering he has some minor sight problems. He will ALWAYS be "The One"
I consider this one to be a prequel to the 1st one (and I don't even consider Endgame or the series to canon, or if I do I write it off as DUncan dying in Endgame and Connor finally getting peace with his adopted son and wife)

THANK YOU! Highlander Endgame doesn't exist in my mind. It's Highlander 1 and 3, and with some tweaking 3 could be considered a prequel as he was supposed to have won the game. Another route (in my mind) is that Duncan did indeed exist, but it was either 1) Connor took his head, instead going all emo or 2) they took down that asshole together and said "Fuck this game, fuck the prize, and fuck all y'all" Connor was a much better swordsman and WAY more powerful than Duncan.
