I think Blizzard's reasoning for it was that they felt like every Control game felt the same. Wallet Warrior vs Wallet Warrior felt similar every time. So instead they changed Control v Control to Casinostone and decided to make every match against Demon Hunter feel the same since they can draw through their entire deck every game, so every DH match is a boss fight of going through all 30 cards. Galaxy brain thinking on their part.
The play was good but the opponent really throw the game, he read his hand twice so he knew he had shadow madness, all he had to do was play a 4+ attack minion or just pass and clear with deathwing to remove any lifesteal potential and let fatigue do the work
@@Gambley it was already mentioned in a comment Section above but the dh missed 2 damage. 1 because of Not Swinging before Metamorphosis and 1 because of not Swinging after breaking warglaves.(He could have attached Another time if he Heropowered)
@@sirtellur4951 First of all, I'm pretty sure you can only attack again if you attack a minion with warglaives, not face. Secondly, he did hero power and dealt 4 with the attack.

People keep saying highlander priest is insane but if you play your cards right you can win against highlander priest with a quest warrior to keep the pressure up Edit: just as an fwi I see this deck literally everywhere in standard, there is never anyone not playing highlander priest

Instead they summon them better than warlocks wtf. I think R+D just decided DH should troll Hunter, Rogue, Warrior and Warlock pretty equally in its class design.
You know what beats this deck at late game lol? Quest warlock, don't believe me? have you tried the 10 mana ebonlick sathrovar combo? With plot twist and betrug you could potentially get 8 kanthared primes. Oh ya, don't forget you also have Alex and zeph since you run out of cards so quickly
Can someone explain this to me? Why at the 36:05 mark does Trump go with Shadow Word: Pain, instead of Penance? The cards cost the same, and both would destroy the minion that he ended up killing with Pain, but Penance would give you 3 health, and being that he was at 8 and his opponent was at 30, I think that would make more sense. I'm just trying to get better and I like his commentary which helps me a lot, but this choice didn't make sense to me.
The bomb wrangler summons a boom bot when it takes damage. Using penance to kill it would trigger that ability. Trump chose Pain instead on the grounds that he had a better win rate without the boom bot and the three points of healing.
The demon hunter actually missed two damage, not just one. First was the attack you can do if have an attack buff after warglaives break and then the second was not hitting the button before meta.
I always wonder, why doesn't zephrys give Archivist Elysiana when your deck is empty? Is it just for balance reasons since highlander would automatically win any value matchup? Or is it because it's a 9 mana so you can't play it together with zephrys? I wonder
Zephrys and Alex are actually tempo cards most of the time so highlander priest should be unfavoured against vanilla galakrond priest in long games. Therefore, since highlander priest can't really win on tempo normally, especially since alex is so late in the game, highlander priest should be unfavoured against vanilla galakrond priest.
