@@greatwhitesharky3261League is growing very fast and it's great to see. Many Aussies don't know it's time to look in their own backyard to see what's doing well
Go go go All Blacks i know you can win this game my over flowing trust to you guys keep going and win this game God Bless You More and More i love you all
If they had kicked some of those penalties in the first half when they were ahead and built on their lead things could have been a lot different. They could be the Giant killers come World 🌎 Cup
Good win ABs pulled it back from trailing behind we definitely need Ritchie and Smith in there Roygard should next half back in front of Christie and Webber. Nuggy and Ritchie had to come on to save us 😳🏃🏃🏃
Cut it out mate, he's in there on his Super form with the Chiefs & the way he controlled the game v the Pumas. He earned his spot today but didn't do himself any favors. But mate, he was behind a pack that was getting pumped by the other side, when Foster changed the front row & they started to get some ascendancy at set piece & winning the contact, Mo'unga controlled the territory well, Aaron Smiths speed to the ruck and passing increased the number of phases/pressure & Mo'unga had a much smoother ride. Also, who else would you take this late in the day?
@@ngabushallday6642 foster changed the front row but the big difference in the game was taking off McKensie and putting in Mo'unga. Dmac is useless and i think hes overrated by chiefs fans.
@navahchapman8793 Hey bud, with a brand new front row, we started to win the physical exchanges, get scrum penalties & were able to give Mo'unga vastly superior ball than DMac got in the first half. Mate, it's not about favorites, you need to learn about rugby before you speak about it.
DMc is an impact player, great pace off the mark with a tiring defence and can cover 10 and 15. He's not an international standard starting 10. Has to be in the 23
@@arrongoodwin3339 I absolutely agree. Losing Richie after the RWC is going to hurt us, and Aaron Smith even more. We are weaker in those positions than we have been for a long time.
Australia put on a decent lead into the half, full credit to the ABs Debutants, showed a lot of patience to pull the score back, game of two halves really, first half dominated by the Aussies and the 2nd half by the ABs, good hit out to take into the WC
Auzzie played Well against A/Bs , Well done.. Eddie said they will put the pressure on and they did.. although I wish I got a dollar for every time he slammed his phone down..lol..😮
Taking an L against a B team is crazy w a full strength wallabies side, regardless of experience bench(obv there for impact) still got beaten by a team who was missing 13 key players.
As much as I.... for lack of a better word... despise the aussie rugby team, we need them back in the international mix , loved growing up with SA ,Nz and Aus duking it out mid 90' till 2010. Great Great rivals they were. 1999 , Larkham...
@@seonggi-hun7482 LOL one moment AB’s have lost their midas touch and aren’t what they used to be in the lead up to the 2023 RWC all the talk has been “ireland this” and “france that” “NZ no longer considered favourites” blah blah pfftt love the fact that with our current form we’re the underdogs 😈 pressure is on the in-form teams now, we on the other hand can fly under the radar In a total of 36 tests against ireland we’ve won 30 compared to their 5 and drew 1 their winning percentage against the AB’s is 16.6% 😂😂😂😂but hey congrats to them for winning 2 games 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 😂😂🤣🤣🤣 come world cup time when they make it past the quarters into the semi’s for the first time (don’t choke now 😂😂) AND THEN make it to the final AND THEN actually WIN the world cup we’ll talk then 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 until that day actually happens 🐸☕️
Eddie knows how to tame the All Blacks. Cannot compare 277 to 1000 plus tests. Super Rugby will be well represented at the RWC with NZ, WS ,TBU ,AU and FJ on both sides of the draw. Good luck to all Super Rugby team at the RWC 2023.
For the 1st try, they spent too much time deciding whether he was in touch or not, but didnt realise as he was running to the try line, his foot went in touch
Not our best performance but we delivered. Respect to the Wallabies for playing with fire and making us work for it - that's a worthy send off for Nugget.
@@kenrehill8775 They were outworked first half. Aussie played for territory and forced All Blacks to defend but once Smith and Richie were on it was a different game
Key takeways from the game for me - a near loss at this stage of preparing for the RWC is much more valuable to the ABs progression than a blowout - if the Wallabies play with the level of cohesion and agression like they showd in the first half they will surprise a few teams in their side of the draw. - the level of relief from fans when Smith and then Mounga make the field says a lot about how valuable they are. Conversely not convinced about Smiths backup - Is Savea the most consistent player in world rugby - Dmac has had better days but his versatility will mean he gets to go -Unlike the Springboks ,the ABs now would be are pretty sure about their best 23. -
+ Smith isn't even our best number 9, that's actually TJ Perenara - but he's been hosed out by the NZRU for his very public stances on the LGBTQI+ community and Ihumātao. So instead we get the actual backup as our main (Aaron Smith), and the back ups, back up as back up (Christie). + The ref was actually abysmal, and helped a lot of the advantage for the Wallabies in that first half (typical French ref). Line out throws, scrums and breakdown plays - majority of which went to Australia in that first half. + Savea is basically the same consistency machine as what Richie McCaw was for the ABs. + DMac could only play what was in front of him - not helped by the poor go ahead by the forwards (like Taukei'aho and Laulala) + The "best 23" will actually have to change each game, since (being a World Cup), we don't know how conditions will change. + Red Card ruling will mess up a lot of teams. Reffing of today's calibre is going to be the norm - so navigating that (for all teams) will be key to RWC 2023.
Aussies focusing on league now trying to grow the sport. Union is a dying sport in Australia, we will drop out of top 10 but hopefully league continues to grow rapidly as it has been!!
@@Testertwo1 League is basically a dead sport. Union is the premiere Rugby game - with people moving from Sevens to Union (as the straightforward pathway).
Congrats All Blacks. Too good as always. Been following since I was 10 in 2002 so I’ve known nothing but pain. Hopefully, somehow, we can win the Bledisloe one day. Until then, I’ll keep supporting my boys.
...."too good", are you serious ? They were extremely lucky to get away with that win. The incompetetent coach did his very best to screw it up and only because of a few good subs after half time did they get it sorted. Aussies were very good tonight.
Great to see Aus back in the mix, could have gone either way- let’s hope Aus can take this momentum into the WC, power to the SH teams ( from Bok supporter)- good win NZ.
@@kavindumayadunna5419 There is no such thing as a B team in International rugby. When the team runs out with the their national jersey, it is an All Black team, or Springbok team, or Irish team... catch my drift? The record books will reflect that fact.
Foster didn’t even wait for the 50th min to tick over before subbing dmac off. He watched one too many stupid kicks and yanked him straight away. Great decision that won us the game.
Let's first acknowledge what Australia did and brought the game to the All Blacks in a hard first 40 minutes..and then the fight back by the All Blacks in which was needed for some of the players on the finge..in the end it was really who had the best players off the bench that mattered..
DMac had a bad game. Too much kicking. It will be interesting to see if he makes the squad. He can cover number 10 and 15 and he played well against Argentina and for the Chiefs
That game ain't no dead rubber. The crowds still pack the stadium out and your All Black team always is the biggest drawcard anywhere in the world and rarely fails to fill stadiums, and is probably the biggest scalp on any countries who challenge them
Gotta feel for the Aussies, almost in grasp of a famous and satisfying victory in NZ as part of their career histories. Gotta be gutted especially with the rivalry between the two nations over the years. Both teams delivered a great spectacle and showed some excellent skills.
Rivalry?? Pfft Abs beat em 70% of the time, there is no rivalry…aus are rubbish and need to get better. Can’t even beat a team full of Ab 2nd stringers!!
@@VKM33mate no need to knock a soldier whilst he’s already down, do you know what being humble means? How about giving props to aus for their obvious progression from last game and leave it at that, they tried their hearts out and gave us a good go and that’s all that matters
@@VKM33 Yeah, New Zealand dominated the last world cup right? Oh, wait. If that was a second string team, then you aren't going to win the world cup almost losing at home against a team that is quite frankly not in the top 5 nations in the world. And if there is no rivalry, why were the All Blacks celebrating on the field, cretin? Yeah, no rivalry. Where were you in the 1991 and 1999 world cups? Nowhere to be seen, when we dominated. Hilarious that you have 3 world cups, but only 1 was won away. Bit of a home team pony, aren't we?
Congrats AB'S 👏 It was a great test of the teams character and their deliver . It remains me of the great comebacks of the past ,when the chips are down the team find that extra go forward. Like 2018 in South Africa.
Much, much better from the Wallabies...I was expecting a blow-out win for the ABs... This is much better for rugby. We now know that we have to play with Richie at flyhalf, I would play Beauden as back up flyhalf...especially is tight matches.
Samipeni Finau surely booked his seat & Stephenson you'd think. That was a DMac behind a dominated pack in that first half, didn't really do himself any favors but suspect their in too deep with him now for him not to make it. Sam Whitelock was humongous.
@@lazer_kiw1agreed! 👍. Unfortunately defence was shocking from Stevenson & DMac. Not good enough to leave Telea, Clarke or Beaudie out. DMac's kicking wasn't up to par. He's not his usual unfortunately although I respect him as a player.
Finau I think she's, don't think Steveson does... don't think he's really out she's any other outside back, maybe Clarke but he come off the bench last week well and we know fizzy loves him
A VERY CLOSE GAME......WELL DONE TO THE ALL BLACKS........US BRITS.....MUST UP A GEAR OR TWO AND PLAY WITH MORE DETERMINATION AND SPEED......OUR BROTHERS ARE SHOWING US HOW TO PLAY A GOOD GAME.......
First Aussie try, the player was clearly in touch two times, both missed the worst TMO ever Marcius Jonker. Second Aussie try, was clearly a double movement. Aussie should have been given 2 Yellow card and a red card for cynical fouls. Red card for taking an AB player out in the air, incredibly wreckness. High illegal seat belt tackle by the Aussie player should be a yellow card and not just a penalty. Deliberate knocked on in that same passage of play, where the AB had an overlap, penalty try and yellow card offense. A AB try awarded and then converted and then disallowed, which isn't following the rules of the game. The rules states that after the conversion is attempted, the ref can't go back to check the try.
Everyone here is saying Australia played well you all must be blind Aussie had 35mins playing in Ab's 22 had more possession and running meters than the all blacks. The All Blacks made double the tackles and Aussie only came up with 7 points in front come half time...... The ALL black squad wasn't playing full strength side - No Barrett brothers no Shannon Frizell, No Reiko and we benched Aaron Smith and Richie. Wallabies played worst this week by a mile and Eddy knows it. We need the real wallabies back, I miss the hard-core close games.
Have never liked the bok style but impressed with them at mt smart, ABs played out of their skin but 1st half but couldn't put them away. Bomb squad dominated as expected but the difference for me was that the backline is a real threat now. I'd be more scared of the boks than france or ireland
Finally the Aussies show up. Why has it taken so long? The Southern Hemisphere teams need you to perform for the good of all, so it's great to see. Now stand up and go again. Some great debut performances for the ABs and a never say die attitude. A good game for them and to build for the French and SA teams. I'm still worried about the depth of the AB squad if Whitelock and Retallick are injured, but starting to see new blood in the squad is great news.
Perfect buildup to a World Cup. We’ve been ahead and held a lead as well as being behind and pulling off a win. We showed we can win a game with alot of changes simulating a possible World Cup injuries situation. This team is the real deal
Sometimes you need to be able to win ugly in knockout tournament Rugby and if the All Blacks have learnt that art then it bodes well for them in the RWC.
Boy the Wallabies are about 5% away from being world beaters, I would dare to say World cup winners. Seriously, the talent and desire is there. it's just the last little execution that's missing
@@navahchapman8793 who do you think are gojng to knock them out in the quarters, they'll most likely play Argentina or less likely Japan or England. (excluding Japan) None of those teams handle tournament rugby anywhere near as good as the wallabies. If we'll saying that they were playing a test match I'd agree, but at the wc in a tournament the wallabies are a different beast and the others have had more lacklustre performances than not
@@joelhungerford8388 bruv im sorry but they literally LOST to Argentina a few weeks ago and that was in Australia! You are deluded if you think They're going far in this tournament 😂😂 And also the championship IS a tournament and Argentina finished ahead of aussie 💀
@@navahchapman8793 so the RC is knock out tournament like a rugby WC quarter final game is it? Wow I didn't know that, I always thought that teams played the following week win or lose. Just like the AB and the boks, if you look at the lineups it's easy to see that the wallabies used the shortened RC to try out different squad members, rotated players, tried out different formations and positions. The wallabies team in the world cup year since the giteu rule change is the most disjointed ,and this team with the most amount of non super rugby players in the squad naturallys going to start off with early cohesion and familiarisation issues, yes the wallabies lost to Argentina a few weeks back but I wouldn't look too much into a loss from a team made up of players returning from long injury spells, alongside young inexperienced players who were blooded in early with some experienced players back after several years ineligible, all. Playing in their first games under a new coach and new structure. Will wallabies win the world cup this year. No of course not. I think the all blacks will be 4 time champions this year, I just think its quite idiotic to say that the wallabies have no shot of passing the quarters, that would mean it would be wallabies equal worst world cup performance ever. In the professional era a qf exit has occurred twice in 2007 and 2019, to do it again in 2023 the wallabies would need to be facing againt someone equivalent to those past. Both teams who beat the wallabies went on to play in the final, one the inform team and serious contender for the wc, the other a team built on experience and long success. I can't see a team like that in either England or Argentina 2023. They (like Australia) sit outside the groups of teams like that. So If Australia finish first in their group that means that their opponent being one of those 2 teams already has lost atleast 1 pool match against a side who sits outside the main contenders. This says to me that Australia would be more favourable to win that quarter final than loose. If Australia comes second in the pool then a quarter final exit is more favourable. In the end if Australia or whoever wins the quarter final NONE will go any further than the semi final because that is when the team will face an actual contender (be it France or South Africa or New Zealand)
As a South African, I am elated that the big 3 in the Southern Hemisphere will grow from strength to strength and reach top form as the WC is closing in on us. No after how unfair the IRB may be in favouring the Southern Hemisphere teams.
thank god for coles, whitelock and savea ay could have been a boil over without that experience, feel sorry for mkenzie faianuku the game could have been better he should of got that bumbled try, jordan is better on the wing, stevenson meh ul he couldnt show what he could do really, perfect result in that now n.z rugby wont think they are anywhere near where they should be at without actually losing the game tho. Aussie were miles better than before however the bane of rugby union continues with 3 forward passes missed that aussie there in the leadup to their trys
That's what today's game was all about, sorting out those good enough to steer the ship after the France game. Finau looks the business, Stephenson as well, I like McLeod for his size & versatility, Tupou Vai'i looked good today when he came on for Retallick, ALB was good.
Stop with McKenzie Christie laulala… OUT of squad for the RWC. Perefota > clown 🤡 McKenzie Weber or Fakatava > Christie Props for the World Cup : de groot lomax Tamaiti Newell moody ofatuugafasi Finau fainganukuu won the ticket for the RWC. Jordan made bad decisions.
