yeah, decent heads and unbiased to the point of blasé in their research into the Irish players' names. Vowels and accents are great and colourful and make your ears all happy. grand. Phonetics, an ear, the Kiwi rugby commentator professional buckos say 'Taaag' for the two Irish heads that bear the name. research me bum, I won't say it's wellful egnorance but it's a bit slack. also, it's sunny and rejoice in the words of the Aphex fieldmouse twin, he paints things all better
As a ALL BLACKS Supporter it is true that I am upset but I have to admit that the Irish deserve to win! Congrats to the Irish TEAM! The ALL BLACKS made a lot of mistakes! Life goes on and a big Respect for all the rugby teams 👍🏉🌞💪
Thank you, as an Irish ☘️ fan it was a great match , was so disappointed last week in our teams performance, but at least we came back this week !!! Here’s to next week 👏👏💪☘️☘️🇮🇪🇮🇪
As an ABs supporter Ireland deserved that win. Red card or not they were the better team on the day. Well done for turning their game around and bringing it to us.
I don't know we did dominate the numbers but like when yous were down 2 men at points we didn't capitalise at all and gave away cheap penalties but anyway just makes it an incredible decider in Wellington
@@usr7941 Not when you've lost 3 out of your last 4 tests, and had one of the worst first halves I had seen in terms of mistakes and errors. The team was mud, and having 15 players wouldn't have changed the result on the day. Ireland probably could have got 1-2 more tries in the second half. So what are you on about
@@Wolfsong27FlyHalfFullHeart thanks. We will need it. Frankly speaking....Wales was unlucky to not win last week. And I have no doubt they are going to come out firing all guns just like the Irish did today.
@@shane-irish that would just be common sense given that winning two world cups back to back is near damn impossible. Even New Zealand is highly unlikely to do that anymore with how much the gaps have closed between the Southern and Northern hemisphere teams. And you know what? .....it's a good thing. It's going to make winning the world cup both that much more difficult and even more rewarding for whoever can pull it off. Like how it is with the FIFA world cup.
@@shane-irish We’ve won 42% of the World Cups we’ve attended - I fancy our chances. Graduate past a quarter finals and then you can talk to us about World Cups
@@kenmckay5578 sad that some players don't know the rules yet and get binned! Head contact = cards. I'd be raging if my team mates made such mistakes and got carded. There are valid arguments that more cards should have been issued too, and that the ref didn't impose the laws properly to reduce numbers even further, but the ABs aren't Italy, so they can't have such impositions put on them!! Good test match sets it up for a thrilling finale. But first the Maori. Exciting games ahead!
Tends to be not so accurate in the big games though when it counts. Decent kicker in test games though, also excellent outfield player too when he's not injured.
Great Player for his age, to be able to put in performances like that against one of the best in the business,at this stage our best Fly half of all time, Legend status. Surely be around for World Cup if he can the body right
There’s a guy called The Black Jersey who broke things down in an analysis ahead of the series, it’s even better than what Squidge does. The Black Jersey literally nailed exactly what Ireland were going to do and Foster did no research of his own…
As an Irishman, I always appreciate how respectful and fair New Zealand are in their winning or losing. Great series so far and looking forward to the decider. Much love 🇮🇪 ❤️ 🇳🇿
I couldn't see what NZ were trying to do on attack. No overloading defenders with lack of options for ball carrier, got picked off easily as a result. They looked like every other team Foster has ever coached. Congrats Ireland.
Need a new coach that's what there playing old way style while other country's are playing with more flair like the Maoris that's what's happening mark Robinson should be the coach
@@RealNzlord Ireland have spot picked this game. Like the last win against NZ. They were not too concerned about the maori's AB's. They wanted this one. Planning for this likely started the night they beat US in Dublin. Congratulations to Ireland. They have figured out the AB machine.
@@phillipleng4757 ... with a head coach rejected by England because of his Rugby League background. Ouch ! Well done Ireland, what an excellent effort.
Respect to the Kiwis. We were admiring their superiority for years. So intelligent and skilful. Hopefully we can prove that we are closing the gap. Next week will be epic!!!
You're not closing the gap because , based on this performance you've already done that! Well done , we look forward to Wellington! Superb performance and and great composure. Go! The AB's!!!!
@@walk-with-Walz I think the #1 Ranked team in the world at the moment is France , for the 2 years previous South Africa was #1 and for the 9 years preceding that New Zealand was #1 , so where was Ireland in all of that ?
What a win for Ireland! Holy! Intensity from the first whistle right to the last! History was made and what a great game to watch! ABs need to come better next week because Ireland are only going to get better from here! Bring on the next game! Let’s go ABs 💪🏾
Too many polys in the ABs now, NZ fans are stupid thinking it's all about size and power waiting for the next Jonah, games a lot more tactical nowadays
@@litgamer6205 we tended to lack physical size and power in the past, when 'push comes to shove' (pardon the pun) power tends to win the game in the end. But as our population get taller (Irish population has been getting steadily taller in recent decades), that has been changing. A few foreign born players such as Van der Flier and Bundee Aki also helping with power. Having seen so many skillful Irish teams that lacked brute power get bruised out of it in the big games in the past, I think power is still key. People used to rave about how great the likes of Ronan O'Gara and Peter Stringer were here in the past, I never wanted them starting, too small! But agree you can't just pick on power alone obviously, but Irish sides just didn't have a 'pool' of larger players to choose from in the past. The bigger the 'pool' of large power players to choose from in a given position, the more likely you will be to get one of them that is skillful.
Felicitaciones Irlanda, asi se juega al rugby. Con espiritu aguerrido de ir siempre hacia adelante. Ordenado, con buen manejo de pelota, con actitud ganadora y cada jugador haciendo lo que tiene que hacer.
That's how I felt last knowing what Ireland is capable of , but home terf is a big ask for any visiting side. It is always a privilege to beat the best. Next week is gonna be lit!
@@noyoutakethatback Well that's the question that will be answered next week! I think most test games AB's would win a man down. Seriously. I'm a Wallaby supporter and immediately watched Wallabies V England after this game. Gawd I had my head in my hands, it was like watching schoolboy rugby in comparison to AB's Ireland. The defence and level of commitment in the AB's team is just on a completely different level to Wallabies. Wallabies have some youth coming through now which is great to see but they just don't have the consistency or outstanding team play of the AB's.
@@noyoutakethatback I don't know. What would have been the result if only Richie McCaw, Dan Carter and Mils Muliana were 15 years younger and still playing? Existential questions like that just keep me up all night.
I'm a ABs supporter...I never seen the Irish played that good and it's all about experience that makes a different...what a game...I can't wait for the finale. Let's Go ABs. # fck yeah!
This is really well poised for next week. The momentum is with Ireland. If they can keep up this play, keep mistakes to a minimum, the tries will come. They have a brilliant chance of taking the series next week. This will also galvanise the squad for the final MAB game.
I'm a ab supporter but Ireland will win in wellington easily. All blacks are done. Their defense is reasonably solid, but their game plan on attack is just plain rubbish. Only reason they won the first test was because they got a lucky 20 -30mins Ireland went to sleep. When the open side flanker has a better kicking game than opposition first five its a easy win
Fantastic display from both teams. And great commentary too, no silly bias whatsoever. Professional job. Ireland well deserved the win this weekend. Also great result today 12 July against the Maori AB's. That was also a great game 1-1 between the two. Let's all hope it stays 15 vs 15 next Saturday. It will be a nailbiter!!
Ireland just straight up got in NZ face and never let off the pressure. There passes went wider. NZ was stuck passing hand to hand. A few skip passes would of kept Ireland defense honest. Not having Ardie will help AB win without him. Just in case anything happens. To him. The loose trio needs to be switched. Start with Pita Gus at 6 Hoskin at 8 Ardie back at 7. Only way to balance this trio out. Number 11 needs new blood. At this point All Blacks Needs make a few changes.
NZ commentators best in the world. So knowledgeable but so importantly completely fair and give credit to opponents, unlike the bias of Aussie and SA commentators. Wonderful to hear and well done Ireland.
in review: THOROUGHLY deserved. YES, a famous victory, rewriting clearly what has been written. The Irish can take and bag this one with an everlasting smile. So, now, for the ultimate achievement in a week. Guns ablazing, both sides, that is all!! What an amazing set of circumstance this Tour is delivering…The Game of RFootball shines. BRILLIANT!! 👊 🔥
Wounded Celtic dragons are well- documented as being flaggingly-petulant, morose and flamboyantly ignorant of their immediate surroundings and the events that led to any fashion of wound they might have received. How you got all that just by watching a ball game in the underBritain is amazing! Skills
@@Skybar23 but you believe the old boys club Will want To see the ABS continue To lose ?? There is pressure by sponsors..fans..press..etc. The ABS losing..it is not good even for the old boys club .. they must sack him...because the ABS jersey is a business for the NZRU.
I thought he was a good coach with good players. Ireland were just too strong for the AB's. When they are on their game the Irish will beat the AB's anytime.
I say the realty. Contnue to enjoy but when joe schmidt or Scott Scott robertson will be the coach of the ABS.., You will live again with the 60-0 like in 2012
Well done the Irish. Huge result! I haven't seen many teams win in NZ. But if history is anything to go by the black tide is always strong after a disappointment. For a neutral fan I can't wait for next week, two cracking teams with brilliant rugby cultures.

Well done Ireland! As a NZ supporter it hurts to lose but I am more than happy to see Ireland win! Congratulations Ireland and keep up the good work. The world cup is within your grasp!
Well done Ireland . Cards aside I think you win that one anyway . But ….. why not 40 points on a undisciplined AB side? You couldn’t put up points against 13 men . Whole half hour at the end to marginally stretch out against 14 men. Well done Nz for damage control , who can lose like this . Ireland unconvincing more an all black horror show that was well contained.
As an England supporter I've really liked this Ireland team for a while and they put in a superb performance in this match. Even before the ABs went a man down Ireland were in their faces and putting them under huge pressure from the off. Their first XV are top notch, but their squad depth isn't as deep as some other teams which could affect their World Cup chances, particularly if they pick up any injuries. I think their finishing could be sharper too. There's been a few times in recent years when they've narrowly lost games they probably should have won. Sexton is crucial of course. I wouldn't be surprised if he hangs his boots up after the WC. He'll be sorely missed when he does.
@@speleokeir yes sexton had said he is retiring after the world Cup I also agree with you Ireland certainly leaves trys on the pitch in a lot of games , if only the can get that right I dare to say there unbeatable
Starting to feel that a loss for the all blacks is always just around the corner. Troubling times and there seems to be a power shift going on since the last World Cup. Northern hemisphere clearly not push overs anymore
Two islands with relatively small populations, from opposite sides of the world, have developed one of the greatest rivalries in world sport. Its great to see.
Ireland have never used Tadgh Beirne and porter to take on so much ball. Next week it won’t be them. Could be dorris, furlong and Ryan. The system is starting to really fire - so many options in attack. Makes sexton look so so good ( which he is )
I agree. But we can't go to a World Cup depending so much on Sexton. We have to take a gamble on starting a second choice out half. IMO Carbery should be given a chance and if that doesn't work out we could try Frawley.
@@diarmuidkelleher5319 I don't think Carberry has been the same since that big injury a few years back. Frawley is too inexperienced for the RWC imo, Carty probably our best bet.
@@SMacCuUladh Everyone has an opinion, but surely Carbery should be given a few starts before being confined to the scrap heap. It's not easy to prove yourself when you only ever get to play the last 15 minutes.
No surprise. Foster should’ve never been selected as Hansen’s successor. As long as he’s at the helm, we’ll go back and forth between strong performances like last week, and woeful performances like today. Congrats to Ireland
We knew this when he was first appointed so it’s no surprise, he was part of a very poor RWC campaign. They selected a tainted coach with no winning experience of his own
Ireland simply didn't make the same number of mistakes that led to the opportunist NZ scores last week. If Ireland repeat that next week, and the set piece remains steady, NZ will lose again. The Irish create so much possession with their game. Simple.
They were NOT opportunistic tries last week by the ABs. It was because the ABs put Ireland under pressure which led to Irish mistakes. Mistakes come from pressure. ABs mistakes in this game came from Irish pressure. Put any team under pressure and they will make mistakes
@@lesmondk3376 Yes, but I think Ireland scored most of their points with an equal number of players for each side on the pitch, but I am willing to be corrected.
@@stealthpakfa they came from unforced school boy errors last week ireland got a lesson tightened it up and did better still a few mistakes to be ironed out I see them getting better.
Not much to say. But well done Ireland, you well and truly out played my home side and thoroughly deserved. Definitely one to watch out for in the upcoming WRC.
If we take off our blinkers, a lot of people who know rugby im sure aren’t that surprised by this result. The writing had been on the wall for a number of years. Even last week Ireland had the wood on us, in many phases especially at the start. Not many of NZ forward pack other than Ardie (who coaches subbed….) would actually put their hand up for a world XV… backline as well. Will Jordan would. So many frustrating things. Last week the innovative hitting the 3rd pod runner got us on outside shoulder. This week we tried the same thing but Ireland had prepared and we didn’t have an answer? BB and Aaron just kicking away possession. Out played out coached out muscled and out thought. Well done Ireland, regardless of the cards throughly deserved win
Two yellows and One Red Card - All Blacks were never going to win this game. The fact that they still stayed in the game till the very end, and it wasn't a complete blow out shows the true grit and class of this side.
@@jelly_donut69 Ireland zero points against 13 men , only 10 whole 1 st half 😂 had a whole half hour to finish with against 14 men . Should of put 40 up is this game , bring on 3rd game

Mils is a fond member of the Connaught rugby family. As a Munster fan, with a Connaught mother and cousins; it gave me great pleasure to see a legend of the game like Mils playing for them. Probably meant as much them as Dougie meant to us. AND what ROG gave to Richie and the Crusaders in his wee spell down there! It’s give and take and experience and a love of great rugby and people! We love NZ rugby. Nothing to do with “the world will be watching/listening to the commentary”. It’s simply respect! No?
Ian foster has to go. Incompetent (his super rugby record speaks for himself and the fact out of the last four tests , the only one he’s won is when he wasn’t there) plus sam cane should not be in the first fifteen let alone captain. Give it to Sam or ardie. Pathetic from NZR to appoint fozzie. We need Whitelock or savea or nuggy as captain
100% - he needs to own that stupid decision to pull Ardie off. Like how do you go from being arguably the best player in the first test, to being the player that goes off. 🤔
the fact that Foster decided to sub Savea off then realizing he wasnt allowed to come back on because of the red card just shows what an amateur of a coach he is. Thats just club rugby decision making there. Even WORSE is the delusional fans that will keep worshipping him even if the ABs somehow win next week...then its the same cycle BS we get since 2019
@@victoroneill4381 agree. Sam Cane is a nice guy but he comes across as a bit of an introvert in interviews. Not the type you want to lead a team lol. Nothing wrong with being am introvert just not suited for his role
Well I remember the French sacked their coach at the 2011 WC after losing to Samoa (or someone) and managed to make it to the final against the ABs and barely lose to Stephen Donald - so playing well without a coach can be done :)
117 years, me arse. We only started playing in New Zealand in 1976. That’s “only” 46 years ago. Still, fair play to the Kiwi commentators, analysts and fans. You’re very magnanimous in defeat. No excuses made. Unlike a certain country at the bottom of the African continent. 👏🏼 Let’s hope for a belter of a Test next weekend.
@@laupernut Its not a mistake though you were quite correct stating the 1905 date that is when the rivalry started nothing stopped Ireland from making the trip.
One might say it's too easy to blame Foster, but he became the first AB coach to lose to Los Pumas and now the first to lose at home to Ireland. Hope his "firsts" don't continue in that fashion.
Rough calls, but regardless, the Irish made the ABs look 2nd class. Tough to watch with the knock ons and loose ball. Well done Ireland. 👏 I think they'll take the series.
There was nothing rough about the calls. gimme a break.. NZ lucky not to have conceded a penalty try and had another sending-off. Everyone is just sick and so tired of ref leniency towards the ABs at this stage. It's beyond ridiculous.
Love the AB's not the result the nation wanted, however my irish roots awesome to see and the luck go the irish way congrats and what a way to set u the final test
Toally agree All Blacks outplayed could have had 16 on the field would make no difference,Irish came to play showed All Blacks how it's done . Well played from NZ
You're telling no lie Kane but hopefully we'll be able to match the ABs for the next century. Either way here's hoping for a cracker next weekend and maybe you won't begrudge it to us if we sneak it
Andy Farrell has worked wonders. Physical and quick from the off and intelligent play. Cant take anything away from Ireland. As a general point, penalties for a deliberate knock-on during an interception are going too far. There's a difference between reaching and deliberate slap down.
👏👏 thank you!! I thought I was the only one. I mean c'mon mate, the decision to take Ardie off proved costly. Makes no sense. You had arguably the best player in the first test, to then making a decision to pull him off? Like what? Sam Cane should have been first to go 🤦♂️
