I was lucky enough to see the great man play. You could hear his tickles from the stands and the crowd would groan for the poor sod that just got a "Jerry tattoo" as I call it.. and yes seeing that Guiness top haircut made me miss him
He needs to be the workhorse when Cane isn't there ... If we can get a touch more of this when Cane is there, then other teams are going to have bigger issues 😁
@@rickybobby38 it’s almost like you don’t know what you are talking about. Our best backrow performances are all when Cane is not there, this was just another example of that. Papalii makes twice as many tackles, makes more meters, attends more breakdowns than Cane ever has. Because of his speed and work rate it allows Ardie to play a bit loser instead of having to get in tight to cover for Cane who is the slowest loosie in all of NZ. Cane is done, well he should be but Foster loves him so no doubt we’ll see his return coincide with the lacklustre, ill disciplined, out muscled, out played All Blacks we have become accustomed to under his Captaincy. Can’t wait.
60 + young All Black fan here. Respect to you 💯 We know It's been a long time between drinks for Wales but hopefully you don't wait as long as the bloody Irish and go on to emulate their recent triumphs over the AB's and down a few and celebrate another Welsh victory. Cheers Brother. 🍻🍻🍻🍻
@@teevis3620 as a Welshman always loved watching NZ as a kid its disappointing to not have a coach that picks players on form and WRU to not allow the best Welsh players no matter where they play their domestic rugby allowed the opportunity to play for Wales. Then you would see a welsh team competing regularly with best 3 in the world.
Ardie Savea is a dynamo that never stops running, surely one the best, if not THE best player in the world right now, simply amazing in all facets of the game
I agree. The thing that amazes me most about him is his balance and ability to stay on his feet when the lawws of physics would suggest there's no way he should.
Definitely the best forward in the world and has been for the past two years if he looked like richie mccaw or keiran read the irb would have already gave him that title
well at least he has players in the direction he threw the dummy I have seen people fall for dummy's to the sideline with not 1 support player outside the ballcarrier.
@@Live.Laugh.Lobotomy Can you blame them, better to look like a goose than get smashed in the face/neck by a pair of muscular poly thighs with momentum 😆😆
Way to play to the whistle. I love this new energy they’re bringing. Not backing down. Being more assertive and confident in their skills. Performing at high levels. They’re picking the right guys who WANT to get it done and done at the AB standard. Great game
Disagree entirely. It's winning rugby but if it wasn't for the Barretts and Mo'unga this team will go down in history as the most boring "Nine man team ' to ever represent the All Blacks. How long did it take for Clarke to thaw out after the game?
@@thingme9941 to me this is how the northern hemisphere teams play, as in they play very forward dominated rugby, doing this style is allowing the all blacks to go back to what made them so dominate for over a hundreds years. Big charging forward runs and using there physicality and fitness to own games
@@ghostsninja019 Who is going to remember this game in comparison with the 56 Springboks/ All Black test 72 Barbarians/All Black match or the 2000 All Blacks/Wallabies Test.? This game was a very dour and boring match. Not helped by the weak opposition. The daze of a Welsh coalminer or an All Black farmer have long gone and with it a contest.
@@Carlo42 I think he should have passed the ball, almost definite try. I think from my perspective, it was the performance, not the score that was needed, a statement. 2 more tough games and we will see where we sit.
This All Black team is something else man. The way they turn on the heat and move into 5th gear in the final 20 mins of the game. Just a joy to watch. Coming from a Springbok supporter
I just watch these to hear the nz commentary. From an Irishman they are the least biased, most entertaining commentary by a long way. It’s a joy to hear their reactions 😂
That first welsh try was ice cold. Very promising young winger. Love watching the ABs play at this stadium especially against this young welsh team. Respect from us kiwi's ✌
I am not a NZ supporter, but this was good rugby. Those that say NZ is not a threat anymore, must be crazy. Running, supporting everything is good and the fact that the 9 runs with balls and not kick like SA's, is perfect rugby.
@@thingme9941 Could be true or maybe not,, I don't think "Alan Alda" Played rugby or boxed,, here are a few others who never did either, Billy Connoly, Neil Diamond, Michael J Fox, Billy Graham George w bush,
Well done ABs, too good. The last twenty minutes revealed the depth of NZL rugby. As did the performance of their second string team win against Ireland A.
I can't call the All Black XV second string when they have seasoned vet from the senior side a second string; it is up and coming plus experience versus a weaker Ireland side
I was in a shop in Wales today waiting in line, a Welsh supporter was in front talking to the cashier about how he was so confident Wales were going to beat the ABs today, they could field an all womens team that would beat this all blacks side. Eat your words! Up the Blacks!
Yes... Shaun Stevenson again had a 3rd great game against an Irish team, he was also outstanding for Moari against Ireland this year and was in great form for this game...replace C,Clarke with him thanks
keep the ABs XV going, use them as a change out team for the first ABs based on form and injuries even have ABS + ABXV team trials and double headers- its a brilliant move
I was here watching in the stands.. a few calls went in favour of NZ and a few offside calls that were missed however the all blacks didn’t disappoint and wales got to see a world class performance.
the thing is the AB's have not been all that dominant on the world rugby scene . but they remain a team that can always be beaten AND that can get up and kick your butt
Man, when the time comes to say goodbye and congrats to Savea, Smith, and the Barretts - it’ll be a tough day for the ABs. Absolute killers at the game. I know Smith is probably gonna hang up which is sad but well deserved, but I hope we have Ardie and the Barretts for a few more. Great game ABs and good to see the hunger is there! Frikken awesome.
I swear every time Barnes blows his whistle its a lottery, for both sides. Well played in the end New Zealand, hard luck Wales. Although that 2nd try scored by Wales looked like a knock on to my one NZ eye.
I think Ardie has an "outrageous dummy" quota to fulfill each game. I crack up everytime he does it. It works though, if only to cause the opp to pause for just that split second. Buys some crucial time for someone as explosive as he is.
@@kelbatt7729 All Blacks 1949 31tries by backs/11 by forwards 1959 6/1 1967 48/33 1987 24/14 2022 v Wales four apiece Forwards greedy. Not team players. AND that is why we now have league played in the schools and starting to upstart Rugby. Compare that with the try scored by VDM against England on Saturday. Will anyone remember the less than subtle tries scored against Wales in 2022?
dalton had a beast of a game,man of the match performance,,great win by the All blacks,the Black jeresy reigns Supreme this weekend{Go the black ferns}
Good win All Blacks.. a bit rusty after a month off, a few mistakes and ill discipline kept Wales in the game but a great way to finish the weekend after the All Blacks XV defeated Ireland 'A' and the Black Ferns won their semi final against France.
Ardie Savea is just getting better and better, it's really interesting to see how he developed to one of the best player on the field just through couple of years. The main thing for me that make difference between him and other world-class players, it's consistency, natural abilities, high game IQ and his all-around game. Ardie does everything great no matter what how the team play, always find a way to influence a game situation even when he is in losing position. And Ardie is a natural leader, I think he should be the captain
Celeb has been a liability in our team. Clearly we have better 11's in super rugby. It's not all about offensive play but defence really counts on that position
I would say to all the people who said that “no-one fears the All Blacks now”… I pray that all teams have that attitude leading into next years Rugby World Cup- the All Blacks will be grateful to everyone who wrote them off..
Said it before but nz are still the best team in the world when they click. Wales were pretty disappointing though. But France and Ireland have never putt 55 points on Wales. Gonna be a great WC next year
@@ally3960 need to change our preferred starting 7, Sam Cane is well past it now, time and injuries has caught up to him and its time to give other loose forwards a shot.
To be fair Wales were well under strength and have not played since June, even so it was a pretty poor performance against a resurgent AB'S team. People on here have short memories, not long ago they wanted to hang Ian Foster Lmao.😂.
lol..there is a saying..if u can't believe it, just read tomorrow mornings paper..the game has swings and roundabouts..some considered sam whitelock's try against aussie at eden park earlier this year a similar thing..win some lose some..while i thought the welsh try was dubious, the officials saw it otherwise
As good as it gets, The Blacks will say that they have things to work on but that is what makes them a really great side. They struggle for perfection even when they astonish as they are. A loss or two just serves to lift them to another level.
I was confident that the AB would perform better with Whitelock holding the reins as captain. He should be the 1st choice. He's lost only one game as captain. I just don't think that Cane is up to the job enough and his record as captain speaks for itself; 2 defeats by Argentina and only 50% wins in last year's autumn tour and a near-defeat by Japan last week. It was the first time I can remember the AB didn't put 50+ points on the board against them. Ironically it was under Whitelock that the AB passed 100+ points twice! I can with reasonable surety predict that the AB will not win the World Cup next year with Cane as captain.
All Black fan through and through here. Never will right them off. Will appreciate however, that the rest are finally, finally, getting close too equalling the AB's greatness.
Oh dear - the ABs as vulnerable as they've been for many years, but they are still good enough to thrash this sorry Welsh side. There is a need for some serious thinking about the direction of the game in Wales. The great sides of the past are becoming a distant memory...
First of all, Principality Stadium, amazing venue and the support by the Welsh rugby fans with 70k in attendance, sensational. That doubles our turn-out capacity in NZ, and we appreciate your appreciation. Good test for 60 minutes, then it opened up a bit. The ABs game plan was excellent and well executed; they kept it tight and direct with a greasy ball, and the wingers barely touched it all game. But that's exactly how we need to play this Northern Tour, tough, conservative, boring fukn rugby with moments of brilliance from the backs. Well done coaching staff, you've got us all singing from the same song sheet. And bring on Scotland, because the pressure back home to put on 2 consistent performances in a row is immense.
Us All Blacks fans can accept we’ve declined since the 2019 Rugby World Cup, but it’s safe to say Wales have fallen off even harder. Don’t think Wayne Pivac will be getting a contract extension… don’t expect any match analysis videos for many Wales games from me on my channel during the Six Nations 😅
Agree there. AB”s have had to look at themselves the last couple of years. When you are at the top for so long it’s only a matter of time before everyone else catches up, and to me it looks like we have set our eyes on the WC. That win was a big statement to other nations and the scary thing… AB’s still have a lot more improvement left
