Agreed, especially not a side like Cavalry. Some of the guys did need to see playing time tho, especially Berhalter, Johnson, and Priso (please don't resign him next year). Though it feels like Gauld, Johnson and Utvik were the only ones taking this seriously.
As a former FC Edmonton fan, we know well the heartbreak of outplaying the Whitecaps only to be downed by a few lapses or a moment of brilliance from a player who is just a tier above the NASL/CPL level.
FCE should have had the win against Montreal in 2014. The penalty the ref gifted Montreal for their tie-winning goal was bullshit, the defender had his arm tucked by his side. The Impact would go on to win it and then qualify for the following Champions League, where they made it to the final
@@scottlow6342 Yep lol, the defender's hand was absolutely in a natural position, only way he could have avoided it was if he chopped his arms off. As a Whitecaps fan, it's what I mention when people give us shit for being the first MLS side to lose to a CPL side: nuh-uh, Montreal lost to FCE first! Hoping Edmonton gets a CPL team again, soon!
Holy heck that was a bad game for us. I suppose it's expected, playing guys who haven't played much like Priso, but our also heart wasn't in it. We expected to walk all over Cavalry (and we would've, had we put more effort in) but you can't let that happen. Vanni will have some choice words to say for sure.
@@appletree13 Agreed. I'm a Cavs fan and still the difference between the teams was noticeable but ridiculously so. To be expected of course. Still I enjoyed being at the game to watch it. These are great games for the Cavs.
