That was a golazo! In light of what happened in LigaMX today: To all Galaxy fans here watching these highlights. I send out my respect to all of you. I hope that nothing like what happened at Queretaro vs Atlas ever happens or even comes close to happening at one of our derby matches. Our teams are rivals on the field and that's it! Let's all chill out and have a beer after the matches.
Liga MX is a joke. Queretaro should be banned for the rest of the season and no games should be held in Mexico for the remainder of the CCL. Montreal should not head down to play Cruz Azul. I'd even go so far as to say if nothing is done, Mexico should be banned from the world cup and be stripped of their host status for the 2026 one.
@@notjhoan i know that leagues cup is being hosted here. But idk if I want to play with them anymore. Remember the Club América fans at the Phily ccl game. I think 1 or 2 people died bc of their psychotic fans
Agreed. I was at the game last night, and I was proud to be part of MLS history - Charlotte's first home game. First MLS regular season game in Charlotte. Record Attendance. I'm floored by how popular soccer really is here. Loved every moment last night.
I was there as a LA Galaxy fan and wore the LA Kit. I was completely surrounded by nothing but Charlotte fans. I still cheered that goal with heart. Great atmosphere. Although it was annoying having a group of teens harassing me as I was trying to leave. After ignoring them for a solid minute I turned around to see what they wanted, after they let there insults out, all I told them was “Welcome to the MLS” and they left me alone. Safe to say they weren’t happy.
I don’t even like soccer, but this changed my mind. I watched it just because I heard it might be a record-breaking crowd, and it did not disappoint! Edit: I should clarify that i didn’t like soccer because I didn’t understand it. I thoroughly enjoyed this game and can’t wait for next weekend. Charlotte has got my support.
Great game from both teams last night. Hate that we lost at home. But Charlotte FC has sooo much potential. Khalina had some great saves last night. Once CFC gets gelled as a team, I think they're going to have some awesome wins. As a North Carolinian, seeing Charlotte and Bank of America Stadium on soccer tv (even though I was in the stadium last night), it makes me proud that we're now part of the soccer world!
@@tykobes4132 Charlotte already looks much more competent than FC Cincinnati’s organization their first couple years. This team will be competitive this year. Especially as the season progresses.
@@borizh I was there, I have never seen a team dive as many times as Charlotte FC did in the first 6 minutes alone. That throw in later in the match where the Charlotte player intentionally let himself get hit was also Oscar worthy. Welcome to the MLS Charlotte FC🥳
While I think higher capacity stadiums will be necessary soon, I think it's best to steer away from the reliance of soccer on the NFL. MLS is making its own footprint rn and will benefit most by having individual soccer specific stadiums. It'll earn more respect from global fans imo
Charlotte battled but it couldve easily been 3 or 4 from the Galaxy. So happy we have the regular scheduling again so we can see teams from both east and west face off.
As an L.A. Galaxy supporter in California (yeah, it's been a tough role since 2013), I have to say that the Southern clubs really know how fill up a stadium. Wow!
we got outplayed but not out hustled. simply the expected struggles of a new club. we keep working and the wins will eventually come. fair play to the Galaxy because that was truly a Golazo.
The more popular football/soccer gets in the US, the better players they can buy.. which means talent and skill will eventually rise in the mls, soon we’ll have teams that can at least have a respectable game against European clubs. But it all starts with how big soccer gets here. More fans = more money
This was a good game . Charlotte is a good team in the MLS already they will start getting results soon . The Charlotte keeper plays great and kept them in the game but that lone goal was just too extraordinary no way anyone could stop that . I’m excited for Charlotte.
@@tykobes4132 lol I didn’t say they will win the league but to be 2 games old I see potential in the squad they got so far . I think they could finish with 10-12 wins
Lovely goal but come on show some respect for all those fans coming out to make history and create such an atmosphere, shushing them is a silly thing to do.
@@clansman89 facts he his playing for the opposite team he's only their to gain respect he's their to win and have fun doing so if he think shushing is the right celebration at the moment he does it
They've got a good team. We've got the pieces we need. It's just a matter of getting them synchronized. Goals aside, Charlotte FC is showing they have what it takes to be a part of the MLS. As they improve, we'll have some great goals ourselves.
@@tykobes4132 what are you taking about, we were arguable the better side against DC they just finished better and of course we were gonna get dominated against the Galaxy they are one of the best teams in the league and this is our 2nd MLS game
@@tykobes4132 You claim to follow MLS but you sound clueless. “Cincinnati FC” is not a club. You praise Atlanta’s expansion but then say NFL owners can’t be successful? Atlanta has an NFL owner 🤡
Minute 75:39 Charlotte should have had a PENALTY 100%%%%% Stone cold never been more obvious penalty. Where is VAR?! Referee wrong, commentator wrong. Two hands pulling back the Charlotte player's arm/shoulder. Never been a more clear penalty in the history of football.
Welcome to the MLS Charlotte FC. Not to be mean, but when are you guys gonna get a real stadium and not an NFL stadium that uses turf? The MLS needs to stop with all these NFL stadiums on turf. This is not bush league anymore. Thank god the Galaxy came out with a victory there. Cause I would've been pissed if they lost or tied that match with all the shots and chances they created.
@@VaanRavi "...little LA team." Do you even know who the Galaxy are. They are the most successful, the most recognizable club in the MLS. The Galaxy are the reason why we can have players like Chicharito, Gonzalo Higuaín, Shaqiri, Insigne, etc. be in the league right now. The MLS went out and push the boundaries to get players like Beckham and Keane.
@@notjhoan Maybe they should. The stadium where Charlotte FC play on used to have grass but they switched to turn when it was announced that Charlotte FC will play on it.
After what happened in Liga MX yesterday, that's the league MLS wants to merge with? They should be distancing themselves from them as much as possible.
@@Paulog1990 Look up Queretaro v. Atlas. You're telling me MLS wants to be associated with that kinda stuff? Give me a fucking break... They just want Mexican eyeballs and money, they could care less about how Mexican fans act and behave.
