As a Scotsman, we absolutely love Josh Taylor, he is a boxing legend. However last night was just plain robbery pure and simple and Jack Catterall has been robbed of his dream. Wanted Josh to win but at the end of the day we all know what we witnessed and Jack won by a good 3 or 4 rounds!
As an Englishman I’m a fan of Taylor myself and watched all fights but last night wasn’t his and as a boxing fan in general the outcome is what is ruining a great sport. These judges need to publicly talk of their scoring and even be judged themselves on whether they are fit for the job.
How long was the last 10 seconds of that 8th Round??????? 10:17 shows that there’s 10 seconds left of the 8th. 10:41 is when the bell goes. That’s 23 seconds. Absolutely Ridiculous. Daylight robbery!
I’m a massive boxing fan and watch every single boxing event and every single fight on the card from the pre shows at 5PM right up to the main fights and have done this since I was a kid, i’m also Scottish and was at the fight supporting Josh Taylor last night. After last night I am starting to give up with boxing i’m sick of robbery after robbery the fights are scored by how much money someone can make everyone rather than what goes on in the fight. I was actually so embarrassed with the result I turned to a group of English boys behind us and apologized for the robbery that took place. Jack Caterall should be undisputed champion and it makes me sick thinking of everything he has sacrificed over his whole life to get to that point only for it to be taken away from him by greed, the way boxing is scored needs to be changed or I can see myself walking away from watching it because i’m sick to the teeth of this now.
Well said, could the fact that global own Taylor and Davidson, guarantee if Jack was connected to global he would of won, absolute disgrace at how corrupt that fight was.

The worst part is that Jack before this didn't even make enough money from boxing to make a living. He was still a part time joiner to make ends meet, this was his ticket to the big bucks and to make everything he's worked for worth it.

I agree mate. I would love to hear from both boxers in the coming days. I hope Josh has the humility to accept the truth. I boxed for 14 years and followed our British boxing for 30 years. Last night after this appalling result, I felt like walking away from being a fan. Never seen such an insult to a great boxer and to all boxing fans. Come on Josh speak up mate. You are no longer champion in anyone's eyes. Don't steal the dream of Catterall.
I’m sick to the core! How can you lose 5 out of the first 6 rounds, suffer a 10/8 round, have a point taken, hardly land a glove on your opponent and still win without a knockout?
Id say it’s generous to even give a round in the first 6 he got absolutely schooled from start to finish he maybe took 1 or at the very most three rounds out of the whole fight one being due to point deduction

@@palestineadesanya8258 it happens all the time dude. It's when the ref stops the fight then restarts it, sometimes the people doing the clock mess it up.
You can tell jacks experience of training in Floyd's no holds barred dog house gym paid off. That shoulder roll and the way he can withstand an assault👌
Huge fan of Josh Taylor but It was actually embarrassing at the end when they announced the winner. How corrupt can boxing possibly be? Well done to Catterall who put on a stunning performance and won the fight 👏 👍
Would Catterall beat Ramirez, Porgrais and prime Baranchyk. Not sure about that, but he was definitely competitive with Taylor. I had him winning by a round. So many point deductions, it was a weird fight.
@@kiboma4209 I don’t think he beats any of them. Feels like he beat a Taylor who was stuck at the weight too long. No way he beats the Taylor that smashed up Ramirez and Prograis. Same thing happened with Kambosos and Teofimo Lopez.

Josh Taylor was going forward and getting beaten up. The result is a real blow for boxing in general. If it’s close you kinda know. But , come on the Taylor camp knew straight away Jack was the man . @@Teemo147 Yeah right, the average person you meet is not as honest as you're expecting Taylor to be. Taylor was desperate for the Crawford fight which is worth millions more than he's ever made. Not many boxers will admit they lost their first fight when it was given to them, and give up millions of pounds without a fight. Blame the stinking judges here, all three!

Also, I don't think he knew just how much of a robbery this was but make no mistake, he does now and the media and social media has probably crushed his confidence and he knows he won't be making millions from his next fight whatever happens. He was so close but Jack ruined everything he planned.
This was not a boxing match this was a live filming of an absolute robbery! Those judges who scored in favour of Taylor should be investigated and never be allowed to judge again! Absolutely shocking! I think there may have been a couple of even round but Taylor did not win an single round in my eyes! Feel so sorry for Catterall!

I find it really interesting how Jack uses his front shoulder, it's almost like a third arm for him. He's using it as a block and tucking his chin in their, he's using it as a checky weapon when they get in close, and as a distance setter making it harder to clinch properly, It's fascinating feels awkward as hell to keep in that position but he does it beautifully.

Great fight, Catterall fought an unbelievable fight, Clear winner but what can you do🤷♂️ shame josh didn't come out and admit he lost, it was so clear.
Whilst there’s lots of debate, one thing I find bizarre that I don’t think many would deny, is that Ben Davison consistently takes great fighters and makes them average. How on earth does a man who has never boxed continue to gain the trust of elite boxers!?

Not one person in the comments in the studio in the world had taylor winning this fight. Whoever's involved in this result nd result still standing needs to be fired they are corrupt at the highest level possible. Josh before the fight kept asking Jack if he was gonna box on the backfoot. Josh knows he can't handle slick boxers. Prograis won imo and the 4th judges scorecard was atrocious in that. Postol had a close fight against Taylor but the scorecards didn't reflect that. Nobody beating Josh in the UK.
The fight was fixed, there is simply no other possible explanation. Even without the knockdown and points deduction Taylor lost by a mile. Stevie Wonder couldn't see that for Taylor, this is an utter disgace to boxing. It's literally a crime.
Absolutely disgraceful scorecard towards jack Catterall. I honestly thought Josh Taylor would-be over and done with this fight before the final ⅓; but when all's said and done,jack Catterall was blatantly robbed of his undisputed LWW championship dreams by,at least ,inefficient judging,and at most corruption at it's worst. the decision of an absolute disgrace, if josh was enough of a man he shouldve handed all his belts to catterall on live tv and he wouldve been respected so much and then get a rematch and get them back
I’m English and I think the commentary was really biased. Josh was in the fight more than they made out, and Jack held and hugged a lot. Jack did enough to win , but it was close. Judges often prefer the fighter who is coming forward and trying to make the fight. Hard lesson learned for Jack - i think he, won but he has himself to blame to a certain extent
I agree, it was very close but the commentary was almost as disgraceful as the robbery. I gave it 8 - 4 to Jack, possibly 7-5 but the knockdown sealed it for me. 114 - 111 lmao what was that judge smoking
I had it 118-109 to Catterall so I was in shock that he didn't win. Taylor only won like 3 rounds and, let's ignore the point deductions because they were unjustified and both fighters received one, Taylor had a knockdown so he also had a 10-8 round scored against him. Like genuinely, we're not going to let this one slide
I’d like to head what Taylor has to say after watching the fight back even though the decision is out of his hands. Jack should be proud of him self everyone knows who clearly won this fight
Imagine winning a title fight and afterwards having to watch someone else walk around with your belts.... this decision was a disgrace to the sport of boxing.
I'm getting wound up watching it again. I said to my 11 year old son when it started that I didn't really care who won but thought Taylor would because of how good he was then I started cheering for Jack and was so happy for him when the final bell rang. I still can't believe it. Not for 1 second didni think they could even try pull a robbery off it was that much of a convincing win for Catterall
I didn’t actually score the fight, but after watching it Catterall looked the clear winner. Even though a lot of his shots were being blocked by Taylor, he kept getting off first, and looked the busier fighter. He was also landing the cleaner shots. Added to that you had the knockdowns that never was, and the point deducted for I don’t know what. Based on the highlights Josh lost that fight, but I’d have to watch the full fight to get a better idea.
@@rhindy6846 Every single person in the boxing industry agrees that Taylor lost. Nobody cares what some clown on RU-vid thinks. Caterall doesn't have the belts but he did win that fight and Taylor knows it deep down. You can't change that fact. Corruption in sport is disgusting.
No one outclassed anyone in this fight it was close. Adam Smith has lost it big time and whene they said Catterall by one point from one of the judges they were not shocked they sounded like they agreed with it .
Daylight robbery. All 3 judges got it wrong, they should be so ashamed of themselves. Even the judge who gave Jack the win didn't have the rounds scored right. Absolute garbage. Well done Jack great win.
Absolutely sickening to witness! Gotta be one of the biggest robbery’s in the history of the sport! As for Taylor celebrating and going on to react the way he did after decision? For me he’s lost all integrity, completely embarrassing!
