I know current design is more practical, but I think the old design is much more beautiful.

The SAKO TRG 42 is the first true long-range rifle I ever owned. I love shooting it. I just wish there was an adequate range near me where I could really test the capability of this rifle.

@@brandonbriseno9810 over a decade ago, I worked for a particular company and was making VERY good money. Unfortunately, the company was being mismanaged at the senior executive level and ended up having to go out of business. I'm just happy I was able to get my TRG 42 before that happened.

@@brandonbriseno9810 depending where you live, the trg costs around 3-5k. Attainable for pretty much anybody if you know how to manage money. I have a trg22 which here in Finland costs only about 500€ less than the 42 and have really only been in minimum wage jobs.

@@brandonbriseno9810 They sell these in USA, there are 2 versions, the really expensive one with option to change barrel and the one half the price what with you can't change the barrel (to another caliber).

Is the TRG-42 suitable for hunting? Long range, mountain hunts etc. Does the stock fold to the side?

After selling my TRG22 I bought the A1 version and both are great rifles but with the various small issues i had with my TRG22A1 i seriously doubt to buy one again.
