Not only a great day for The Red Dragon but being a fan of the show it’s a strange feeling watching the match, recognizing faces in the crowd and feeling emotional about them. What a cool and unusual experience this is turning out to be! Go Wrexham!
Yes, seeing the fans from the Documentary. Really good. If I get to go back to my home town (yes, I was born there and lived there (on and off) until I was 17) I will ask for selfies from them if I see them!
@@astronomenov99 that might be one of the best parts because it really makes you feel connected to the town rather than just the team like you’re part of the community in a way
Totally agree, loved seeing the "happy clappers" also great to see Davies still being a jet and Hayden back in action, he did say in the doco how he loved to get a header. Didnt support any football teams in the UK but now it seems I do. lets go Wrexham!
I actually yelled out "that's my boy!" and fist pumped when Davies scored. I binged watch the documentary and now I'm bloody hooked. How did this happen?
Good game, let's firstly sit back and admire the play of the Halifax goalie, the game would have been over halfway through the second half without him pulling some serious Jedi mind tricks on the ball. The goal by Davis was beautiful, great set up by Palmer.
it's great to see Aaron Hayden & Jordan Davies' development since the start of the takeover. Phil Parkinson & the rest of the team have helped to bring out the depth of talent in these men.
Great win, that second half looked like a fired up team! Noticed the man at 15:06 wearing an Eagles hat, brought a tear to my eye. As a new Wrexham fan, seeing my team being represented next to the Red Dragons is pretty cool.
While I do enjoy watching these highlights, I was wondering if it would be possible to not include the score of the match in the title? It would be much more satisfying to watch without knowing what the outcome is, especially for those of us that are not able to watch any matches live.
He gave you everything afterthe pen. Palmer and Mullin diving over all game. Wrexham deserved winners ofcourse though. Good luck in league 2 with your Stoke City under Tony Pulis tactics 🤣🤣🙈
@@alastairfinn4993 watching Wrex players getting wrestled to the ground every corner, you’re telling me they got all the calls? At least two obvious PK calls not given. Elbow to the face not given. As a former ref, the missed calls in this league make it look like a Sunday men’s league sometimes.
@@Bwin80 The ref sadly didn't do himself justice and the result was a win in spite of him. As you said, there were two possible penalties that a Premier League ref would almost definitely give and three others that VAR would have told him to look at, which some referees will give. An elbow to the face was also ignored - with the linesman in perfect position to spot it. And higher level referees have a better understanding of how to manage a match, calling players to them and warning them that they should calm down or risk being penalised and/or carded.
Terrible officiating tbf. Three clear pens in the first half missed but he gives them a soft one then a number of good penalty shouts second half as well.
Wish the score wasn't shown in the title. These highlights are the only way I can watch Wrexham games. Would rather watch with the suspense of not knowing the result
There wasn't a lot in it at all, Halifax forward felt the (rather slight) contact in the back and noticed young's leg coming round looking for the ball and decided to angle for the penalty chance and went over on his own. Lucky for him the ref focused on the initial contact from Young and awarded the spot kick. I've seen far more egregious dives but that contact was nearly nonexistent, very soft penalty and when push comes to shove a dive IMO.
That's why football is the game of the gods, other sports, cricket, basketball etc you can go for a slash and a pie, miss 23 points and it doesn't matter cause you know they are going to score another 127.
I'm just not sure how to feel about this. It's Saturday afternoon in Canada and I was pleasently surprised to find a Wrexham game qued up in my list. I guess like the rest of the fans of the show wandering about here trying to make sense of why they are here and all caught up in a Wrexham football match. (Yes I said football not soccer, I've repented) So here I am watching away, and it begins. First it's just a "ooo" or a "so close" here and there. By the end of the highlights reel, I am clapping my head, shouting "COME ON!" and "GOOOAAAALLLLLLL Wrexham!" at my computer screen. My wife even called out from the other room, "Alright dear?" I watched the documentry because Ryan Renolds, and kind of fell into a charm of the people of Wrexham. It was really quite interesting to see the different view points and ideas, but I think the thing I liked the most was the passion they all had for all of this. The team, the colours, the Race Course, the players, the game, the fun of being with people like you at a game and having something to cheer about. Many thanks for a wonderful 20 minutes on an otherwise quiet Saturday afternoon.
The control and creativity displayed by the individual players and then by the team as a whole is the kind of thing that is rare among all tiers of the football world. It was, and is, a true joy to see it developing so well by these talented athletes. Cheers to you all.
Get in Tozer! As a lifelong Newcastle fan it's fun to watch him score. Was never given a chance to start for the Toon except one cup match. Fantastic strike! Great comeback victory by Wrexham!
I've just begun to watch Wrexham and to be honest. Great team ethics. Even when behind they work for one another. Never giving up. Seems I could have found my team to support 2022- onwards. Love their style of play. Simple patient clinical keep it up guys.
Great result. I listened to the boys on the radio and was virtually pulling my hair out with some of the decisions. Scared the crap out of the wife when tozer scored. Great character shown to beat 12 man. #UpTheTown!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm a new york jets fan for a long time. My son in law got me hooked on the primer league. I am hooked even more now with the red dragons. Go Wrexham go all the way.
I guess the Ref is more of a DC guy than a Marvel guy.... because there were 6 penalty decisions not given to Wrexham VS 1 that WAS given to Halifax. Glad the results showed through as Wrexham dominated that game.
I wonder if Tozer is going to opt out of the documentary in season 2. I'd love to get to know the guy. seems like he's really part of the team back-bone.
Used to glue our ears to the radio from 3pm on a Saturday. One time when coming back from airport my dad said to taxi driver "please don't tell us score in the game, we have it taped at home" to which taxi driver replied "it was 1 - 1 anyways"
It would be nice to not know the score prior to watching highlights. It takes the excitement out of it. Perhaps remove it from the title. That way you'll get longer view times = more $. The new fans might stick around long after the TV show hype has died down.
So many fouls on our players going unpunished by the officials it's untrue. Are they conspiring against them? Surely not!! But their pen was more than a dubious decision.
If you keep hitting the ball at the goalkeeper he will save it most of the time. Put a cardboard cutout in goal during training and practice hitting around the goalie. You will be surprised.
Only one can go up automatically and atm notts county are 3 points clear at the top. All the boys can do is keep getting the results and keep the pressure on County. #UpTheTown!!!!!!!!!!
I actually thought the ref was good, penalty was a soft but they're often given. Superb from the Halifax keeper. Really strong second half performance from wrexham 👏
Are the refs in the National League always so bad or is it some sort of agenda against Wrexham? There should've been atleast one penalty, if not more, but it's like the ref suddenly lost his vision
