Thanks for posting these videos. I'm currently building up my 5.7. So far only have done the 392 manifold, mopar intake, tune and SW longtubes. Excited to see how it performs, stock ran 13.1 at atco.
@@ModernRedHemi That's where I figured it would be. Was hoping to get down to Cecil but with the state giving them a hard time may have to wait. I also have a tire to help cut this 1.8 60ft
@@smokedoggrich8808 Never dynoed it. It now has a cam and another tune. Last it ran 12.5 without a trans tune. It was only shifting at 5500 rpm. Should be at 6600.
Knowing that you're going to gain more when you get it tuned to properly I still think it's nice that at least some things can be bolted onto a car and not have to be tuned in to get power. You ate cars before now you're on your way to swallowing them whole. Also sorry about the late veiw last night there was family blah blah blah.
Agree. There are some minor bolt ons you can do without a tune but are better taken advantage with one. Yup, will be tearing them up come track day! No problem brother. A view is a view no matter when it is. I really appreciate the support!
402 HP and 411 Ibs of at the rear wheels out of a 5.7L Hemi V8 is really impressive mate those ported heads gave you 11+ HP and 3+ Ibs of torque. Imagine how much power you'll gain with those heads and other mods by porting the 392 Intake manifold.
@@ModernRedHemi Right on brother. Hey I have a video of my dad's 2019 Dodge Charger Scat Pack on my channel if you want to come see it sometime. Here's the link belowru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jvFQkhQAiKA.html
Still working out the kinks, but the most recent video of the track is up. Keep in mind that was a very hot and humid day and we have some trans things to figure out.
Found you through RT Life, was wondering more about the BES ported heads. These were your Eagle 5.7 heads you sent to them to have ported? Did they provide you with a flow sheet? Maybe before and after? How much were they and was that just for the port job or did they do a valve job and reassemble the heads for you? Thanks, great content!
I didn't send mine in. I did a core charge until I sent mine back to them. These were new heads that were ported and sent to me and then I sent mine back. I didn't get a flow sheet at all. I paid just over $1500 (plus an astronomical core charge but got it back when they received my heads). Thanks for the support to the channel. I got plenty more coming this year!
What year is that 392 Daytona? bc online it said they come 485hp & 475tq stock so how is he making less? But grate video definitely check out other videos
Sounds epic. Is it me or are the dyno numbers a little low for everything you have on it? Maybe I'm just crazy. Can't wait to see some track times after the tune. About to start pricing some of these parts on your list right now. Keep the content rolling. Awesome stuff definitely giving the vid a thumbs up.
This is going to be controversial to some folks but you can tune for dyno numbers and lose time at the track or dyno for the track and maybe not hit as much horsepower. It's all what you want the dyno to show. With 391 HP and 390 torque in a 4400 lb car, with me in it, I am running 11.8s and consistently 11.9s. Who would have thought I was only putting 391 to the tires. That's been my point about dyno numbers. You can get a dyno to read pretty much what you want it to. The real numbers are at the end of the track ;-) Sorry to rant a little. Stepping off the soap box... at least for now. LOL...
@@ModernRedHemi no worries i appreciate it im just now learning all this as I go along with my new 2019 challenger R/T. I really appreciate all the the knowledge and content from this channel. I'm starting to see that the dyno numbers are not as reliable as i once thought they were.
@@Hughie302 that's awesome. Glad that my videos are helping you out. That's why I am doing this, to help folks out so they don't make the same mistakes I did. I thought the same thing, dyno numbers were everything. In time I learned they are not. Keep researching and learning. That alone will really help you in the long run.
You should hear it live. Wait, no you don't. LOL... Jay told me he was pretty conservative with this first tune just to make sure we don't blow anything up. We will get it dialed in and I am pretty confident in another 10-15 (that may be conservative).
im always like my charger is not that loud then i start it up at 4:30am to go to work and i cringe 😬 and my neighbors can hear it i asked thankfully they either go to bed when they hear me or time to get up 😁
If you are getting a dyno tune then you don't need to get a Jay Greene tune too. They virtually do the same thing, tune your car to run safely and efficiently as possible. The thing with Jay Greene is that he does not charge for updates, even if you add minor modifications (like cold air intakes, headers, heads, etc.); now for bigger modifications (like forced induction and/or nitrous) he does charge for updated tunes. Not sure who you are getting a dyno tune from but if you plan on doing more modifications in the future that require a tune, I would ask about updates as you modify your car. If you are going to do more modifications that need a tune and they are going to charge for updates then I would just go with Jay. Hopefully that clears it up for you. Just to be clear, I did not dyno tune my car (none of those cars were tuned that day). I just used it to show the difference between with the heads and before the heads. Hit me up on my Instagram if you have any more questions. I will be glad to answer them for you.
There was an overstock place in Florida where I bought the brand new rear end with the 390 gears in it for 250 bucks but I don't know if it's still that kind of money now and I'd have to try to find the name of it again.
Tell the 300 owner that with longtube headers and with everything deleted on the exhaust a 91 oct tune and a 3.90 geared rear my 09 did 373 hp and 411 lb. Feet
While they were not overly impressive they were solid for the mods he has. Stock 392s dyno in the 420 range. Keep in mind that dyno numbers are only part of the equation when it comes to street/track driving and getting a good time and trap speed in the 1/4 mile.
Just keep in mind, all engines, although the same size and manufacturer, are not always the same. Also keep in mind, there are a lot of variables that go into dyno numbers (weather, location, manufacturer, correction factor, type of dyno, even tires can have an effect, dyno operator, dyno settings, etc.). 😉
@@ModernRedHemi I've just never seen one... I always hear a drill has more torque than the BRZ but that looks like a beast. I just bought a Charger R/T. Hoping to build it to beat scats
