11 miles of pure highway! Thoughts on TDUSC's highway compared to other open world racing games?

The sense of speed in this feels crazy like back in the PS3 era. It was a lot of racing games that had a crazy sense of speed. It died off during the PS4 era but this feels insanely fast. Lower speeds really feel like you’re going fast like real life. Most games nowadays you have to get to 200mph just for it to feel fast. In real life once you start going over 60-70mph you feel that you’re going fast the car starts shaking. Then you hear the wind from the cabin noise increase. Especially between 80-100mph on a public road you want to slow down. GRiD Autosport and NFS Shift 2 had some of the best sense of speed I have ever felt in a car game this is now on that list.

As a Hong Kong citizen, it's amazing to not only see my city in a game but also driven by someone I followed since forza horizon! You drove past the area I live in too haha the resemblence is so cool

Meanwhile Forza's 200 mph feels like 120.

The first racing game with an actually good and long highway (outside of Night Runners which is all highway atm and the Asseto Corsa mods)

What's even funnier when you think about it, that's not even one of the fastest car available in this game at release, like the Agera RS IRL has a 277 MPH top speed so it's gonna be really scary in this game

Watched tons of content since the title’s announcement, yet, only THIS vid made me preorder the game. Absolute sense of speed made in heaven. I hope they add hot pursuit mode as a DLC in the future. That’d be great if we could escape the cops and be the cops and chase racers. Thanks, sucker.

The sense of speed is really good. looks like you're going fast and also sounds like it from the wind noise of each car you pass. More games should do that. The only thing I would like them to add is the Forza camera shake at high speeds

First time I've been this excited for a racing game since the teaser screenshots from TDU 2. I have so many freaking hours in those two and a half (played PS2 and 360 TDU1) games. TDU is the only franchise to really give you an out-of-the-box experience that fully immerses you in the game in my opinion. Forza never captured the feeling of freedom, or the fact that you are even a human driving the car rather than a robot. I cant wait to see Ibiza and/or Oahu on next gen. My spine is literally tingling with excitement.

The road environment is very detailed, although some mountain roads have been widened for the gameplay. 🙋🏻‍♀️I guy actually living in Hong Kong island.

I at least hope that this demo version is a much older build than where they are really at in development. I want the game, but I am a bit on the fence to be honest so I cannot pre-order because of that. Once we start to see some video from beta testing and so on, we might hopefully get a better feel for what this game could be.

Everyone is spamming "PS3 graphics on youtube, reddit, twitter, etc, but TBH I think this game looks BETTER than the crew motorfest, and in some ways, it looks BETTER than fh5. Especially vegetation. And this game is from a much smaller studio as well. Many respect to them.

2:56 look at how aggressively the speed was dropping off during that slide. Looks like they don't want you to maintain as much speed during a slide as other arcade games. It's probably amplified at the speeds but still power was on and no counter steer really 👀
