I have the US version of the Highland Model 3 Performance and I did 315 miles of real world highway driving without stopping. I had 8% of the battery left plus the 3.5 kWh buffer below zero SOC. The difference is that I have ultra efficient Hankook iON EVO AS tires. Those make such a tremendous difference in range.
315 miles is amazing! I'm not that big a fan of the Pirelli tires on this one, sounds like the Hankook is worth a consideration for the next set! Or I do a 30 minutes video doing donuts, making me need new tires 😇
Your content is great. I literally found you by typing "model 3 performance facelift hypermiling". You were the first to pop up. Watched all your videos ✅
The white with black rims is simply beautiful and very practical. Shows less imperfections, easier to clean, polish, wax, and no water spots. Ask any detailer what is the best car color, they would say white.
The efficiency in these motors is crazy! Must be some of the most efficient motors of all manufacturers. Maybe only surpassed by the latest VW motors - or the very least very close to
Nice videos. It would be even better if you could add some average speeds. E.g. for your last trip it is really difficult too estimate how long you were going slow and how long fast. I guess there is an free app who can do this based on the GPS speed 🤔
Nice test! The range is good, but the ground clearance is not: 12.8cm unladen. I had a 2020 M3P and that car had 14cm. The lack of clearance is what's keeping me from swapping my Model Y LR (which has 17.2cm clearance with 2 people in it) for this one.
I agree, ground clearance is quite low, but of course that helps on range too. I am literally no more than a centimeter from bottoming out on our driveway. Tesla's longer wheelbase of course contributes to it too. So far there have been a couple of times where I've heard scraping noises, but I've now learned to identify the sound of scraping the mudguards, and thankfully this is the only sound I've noticed so far. We'll see once I put some more miles on it, if it's manageable.
I was in contact with Concavers wheels in europe and they also said that for the 9" wide rims the "high concave" versions fit over the performance braking system
@@MisterFench if you got to tesla’s intalian website to spec a 3 perf, you’ll see they offer optional 19” tires with a snow set… Just need to find out the offset for those
Hey bro, what do you do about car wash. I just got mine aswell and are afraid to go the an auto car wash because of rumors of spoiler falling off? Any experience or Info? Thanks
@Okseje123 so far I've washed it by hand. There's a self-wash service not far from where I live, complete with pressure washers, soap and everything you need for quickly washing your car. I may do a quick video on it if there are not too many people there next time 😅
Really good videos. Informative and very straight to the point. I'm considering trading my Stang Mach-E for a M3LR/Performance next year. Depending on what Tesla does with their intrest rates here in Sweden. However, regarding consumption, I did a drive down to Hamburg this summer, noticed that my car was doing about 1.8kW/10km in 130 there, thats what I normally get in Sweden in lower speeds, like 100 or so. Think you got some smoother tarmac there on the german highway.
@williamliifv Good tarmac is going to make a good difference in consumption for sure! Roll resistance will be much better. Tesla motors are incredibly efficient, though!
I'm taking delivery soon of a M3 LR RWD soon. At $35k USD (after incentives) with 1.99% APR no other manufacturers come close in the US with the options on the M3.
@mikaelvellmun7228 yes, these are the standard mudflaps that it comes with. I bought somr aftermarket ones that are much softer and provide better cover. Will do a video on these too
