Hikaru commented that Levon was down a knight but after I look at the board for an unhealthy amount of time, wondering why his knights are still intact, he was down a bishop
Reasons I find this extra hilarious, other than the funny faces: - very typical for commentators when a super gm blunders to still look for something THEY're not seeing instead of the obvious: "he blundered" ... super inteligent lev maneuver ... yeah - hiki looks for 3 seconds and sees there's no saving it and makes it super obvious so not only aronian notices but his opponent. one of the reasons hiki was so disliked by his peers. - aronian notices hiki is looking and honestly that kinda makes it extra hilarious because aronian's face says "oh shit, naka saw, nowhere to hide now", then covers so he doesn't have to look at hiki. Probably aronian hated more that hiki was there to see that more than he hated the loss - and obviously the commentators now have pie on their face for not pointing out the obvious blunder and have nothing left to do but laugh at the situation although they were trying their best to be professional and not be like, haha, aronian blundered.
