Tbf, Hikaru is notoriously known for having a beef with practically EVERYONE. You should watch some of the Ben Finegold clips about Hikaru. He was Hikaru's coach at one point and told that Hikaru was known for various disputes.
@@relaasbaas6969 yeah and there's a video of Hikaru and Eric Hansen get into a fight and its funny because everyone is just chilling watching them like it's a normal thing
Top 5 players in the world 1. Magnus Carlsen 2. Drunk Magnus Carlsen 3. Hikaru Nakamura 4. 19 year old hikaru Nakamura 5. the guy who screams: "And he is Sacrificing the ROOK!!"
I think that he took offense in the guy grabbing a spare queen. As if he was preparing to promote a pawn. Odd mental play, but at 19 they didn’t know he was him yet…
Magnus was 13 when he first fight Kasparov. And Kasparov just come late to that event and dont mind that little twat. By the way, at that game, Kasparov won the first game and draw in the second one. Where is it Kasparov get mad. You guys are dick riding magnus soo bad
Because of the position, it definitely seemed like an attempt at a mental play from Hikaru’s perspective which he probably took insult or malice from. It’s like someone calling an ISO in basketball when you’re clearly a better defender than they are offensively
During 2019 rapid and blitz Alireza knocked over a king on the board while playing a move. Before he could put it upright again and hit his clock, his clock ran out and Magnus was declared the winner. Magnus had just a bishop and Alireza had 3 pawns plus a bishop. Magnus could still technically achieve a checkmate despite being way behind on material. So yeah, frustrating moment for him to lose an easy win over something ridiculous.
@@tenningalewhat’s hilarious about that rule is Alireza would have to play the worst moves possible to get checkmated, like locking in his own king after promoting his pawns to knights loll
@Kacy o yeah it was funny, but magnus knew the rule and he didn't, part of the game is playing the best strategy to the rules. He flagged him with a position he knew would be a win.
im super late to this video but a lot of you guys seemed confused why he said kidding? in time pressured games near the endgame one would grab their queen if they think they are going to promote soon. however you look at the position and its clear that grabbing the queen is almost disrespectful cause there is no way white could possibly promote that pawn
@@renishisrael9520 nah they didn't , Indians just support their own players and are crazy mad for chess , as the beautiful game of Chess was invented by Indians .
@@ok-pv7fw if we're talking about the pawn that has been captured yes it is. The operation of capture includes removing the opponent's piece and is part of the move. His opponent even pointed at him when he did that so I guess these rules already applied at this time
children here missing the point, quoting Gukesh (for the indian children) or Magnus. the point is how rowdy or defiant they were as children-- Hikaru took it straight to the opponent directly while the rest were complaining to the arbiter.
Lol i am Indian too but i hate when people without knowing the context just spam pragg, gukesh name. They think it made india proud but in reality they are showing how stupid they are .
If you get a pawn to the other side of the board you can promote it to any higher ranked piece. Most choose queen. His opponent grabbed a spare queen either because he was that confident that he was gonna promote a pawn soon or he was trying to throw off Hikaru mentally. So Hikaru grabbed his own spare queen to basically say, “and I took that personally,” in response.
@Fretto-xl9bh cmon kiddo, really? the top comment state,"bro think his hikaru" indicate as sarcasm. Joke can be many form such as "sarcasm joke". Then your comment, "he's hikaru tho" meaning you do not get the sarcasm. Really? I should explain this? You must be fun at party ain't ya?
You are not promoting. I'm promoting. Those are the kind of things you think about in the shower 2 days after you wish you had that comeback ready when the situation took place. Hikaru: 0.3 seconds
Breaking chess pieces Hikaru:Who are you talking to right now? Who is it you think you see? Do you know how much I make a year? I mean, even if I told you, you wouldn't believe it. Do you know what would happen if I suddenly decided to stop going into work? A business big enough that it could be listed on the NASDAQ goes belly up. Disappears! It ceases to exist without me. No, you clearly don't know who you're talking to, so let me clue you in. I am not in danger. I am the danger. A guy opens his door and gets shot and you think that of me? No. I am the one who knocks!
@@I_dont_know_what_HAX_isI just googled. Ali timed out, but there is a rule that if the winner of the time out out didn’t have sufficient checkmate material it’s to be scored a draw. Ali thought it was impossible for Magnus to checkmate with the material he had so he was pissed that the arbiter gave Magnus the full points instead of calling it a draw. But if you open up the position on stockfish, Magnus did have material sufficient for checkmate.
