Drink whenever one of us mentions how warm it is 🥴 (also please bear in mind we were joking about it a LOT but I think it comes across as quite serious at times hahah) however I will be phoning the police on any weather competitors in the comments
I'm only drinking water when one of you mentions how warm it is. One has to drink water in the heat and alcohol makes the heat worse. I don't think you lot in Scotland quite know how to handle the warmer weather!
@@amberhiggins6327 We get it every year :) but not for long. And our houses are built to keep the heat in/we don't have a/c so it's normally hard to be inside in hot weather here. All we can do is drink plenty of water and try and stay as cool as we can, but the UK isn't built for it and we aren't used to it.
i cant believe you actually got conic hill to yourself especially in this stunning weather i always seen to get it when its busy fantastic video i really enjoyed it
Oh we definitely didnt! I don't think that's possible lol. It was fairly busy but not as busy as usual because we went at night. I just wasn't filming when we passed people
Here in the Yukon Territory, anything in the 20's is warm, and 30 is very hot! Mid-high teens is comfortable. In summer - in winter, anything above -25 is fine (especially after a week near -50). It seems that temperature is relative!
I loved conic hill! went there in 2019, it was freezing! (december), but mate the views, and then we stopped in a wee inn at the base which had all sorts of old items as decoration and a fire crackling, it was an amazingly beautiful experience
That is one beautiful view from on top of the hill. Heat and cold is realative in ones own area. I believe you that you are hot Erin. I hope it cools down soon in Scotland.
I remember i didn't do much walking a few years ago, but done lots of cycling and my friends invited me out to walk Conic Hill. I thought because i done lots of cycling, i'd smash it. But the hill gets pretty savage at the stairs and i realised hill walking and cycling use totally different muscles. I thought i was gonna die haha! I've done it about 20+ times now and it's great, especially for a work out with some views but i think Ben A'an is my favourite wee Scottish Hill. The views are just as good, similar height but i feel Ben A'an is a wee bit more fun as some of the bits are a lot more tricky and it feels more like a proper hill, where as Conic is less "raw"
Hey Erin. Heard from my relatives over there that it was 31 in Glasgow last week. A bloody heatwave. Hope you recovered from the heat and humidity. I think its the humidity that knocks you about more. Hate the humidity. Another top video. Loved yours and Amy's banter. Take care and can't wait for the next one.
😂 Loved it! This was fun! And no matter what anyone else says, hiking in the heat is always more challenging. Good on you for doing it. Really beautiful views too! Thanks Erin!
I’m from the states and yes it’s gets hotter there, but now as a person living in Scotland, it’s bloody hot as heck here! 🥵. Great editing!! And content as always 😁
Great views. Definitely going to have to take another trip to Scotland one day. I've only seen Loch Lomond from the other side - a brief stop at Luss on my way to Fort William. Shame about the tragic news from Loch Lomond today. 😥
Only crossed Loomond from east to west - north end. Very narrow, there - not the broad expanse you see in the south. Looks beautiful ( with islands, even ) !
That was a lovely view! I've decided that when I go to Scotland I'll need to experience all your weather...so January to September or so. And I plan to wear out at least one pair of boots. Cheers!
High twenties can be plenty awful if it's humid. In Canada we have temperatures adjusted for humidity - so if (like today) it's 26 but humid, they say that's equivalent to 32.
Yea I was referring to here in the U.S, many people here especially women drive an automatic. It disappoints me. It made me happy to see you shifting gears!
Great scenery/views.. why I love Scotland so much, oh btw your friend Amy wasn’t far off on the temperature front. Our hottest day was last week and it was 28.2C ( I googled it lol ) it was hotter than Brazil and Texas that day 😉😊
I just giggled through this entire thing, much like the last time you did a vid together lol. Hearing other people laugh is super contagious! 😂😂😂 Also, is this area considered part of the Highlands?
@@ErinsHoose ah, thanks for the info! I recently learned that the Appalachian mountains here in the US are the same range as the Scottish Highlands because they formed before the Atlantic Ocean split them apart. I was like *mind blown* 😅
Yeah I understand about heat and not being used to it and all. My father from Scotland had to wear a long sleeve shirt on sunny days when he was in the states. One bit of helpfull advice, if you are visiting a hot and arid place stay well hydrated. I've lived in hot and humid places and hot and arid places and I know from experience that you can get Heat Exhaustion and Heat Stroke really quick in hot and arid environments. That hot dry air bakes you like a low oven.
Conic Hill is great because of all the small islands at the end of Loch Lomond. A bit like Loch Maree. I have four more for you. Stac Pollaidh because of its crazy shape and because I was once blown off it. Benachie because of the tune Back o'Benachie. Eildon Hills which has various tunes and poems. Sgurr an Albanaich. I had to check the spelling against the posting on my Instagram because my Gaelic spelling is somewhat shocking. No bragging rights because I have only got to the top of one of these four. No West Highland Wayers on the way up or down?
Wait what is going on in Scotland? I was under the impression that Scotland doesn't get summer weather being so far north and all. This warmer weather is part of a global warm trend. In the north western United States. the weather is getting up 120 Fahrenheit; which is 48.89 Celsius. There has been roads that have buckled in the heat that's how bad its been. So for a place like Scotland to get hot summer weather, it's a global warming nightmare. Each year is breaking recorders around the world in how hot it's getting. I fear the worst is yet to come. I Did enjoy the video though. I always love the hiking videos. Though I have to say: you and Amy have had it to easy with all the colder weather in Scotland that the both of you can't handle hot weather. Better get use to it fast because more of is coming everywhere in the world. Also, when you walk in heat you keep getting sweatier the more you walk, so it no shock that you got sweatier coming down form the hill. I can see people in Scotland are not use to hot weather.😆
😂 😂 Of course I know the more you walk the sweatier you get, but ooft the humidity was something else. We get hot weather every year, we always do. But it varies in the month and the length. One day it could be hot, the next it might not be. But we do always have sunny spells in summer. Some years more than others. Thanks for watching :)
I hope you remembered your sun screen!! Hehe And hey now small boobs gets sweaty and uncomfortable too! But yes I imagine bigger ones are worse haha Conic Hill looks lovely!! We'll have to get up there at some point. -Jodi (just so you know it was me commenting about sweaty boobs and not Steve 😂)
You know why the Devil came down too Georgia ? Hot has Hell and the Humidity is totally unbearable for human & beast. Sadly the closest I got too Scotland was the Lake District. Maybe one day take a long long Holiday too Scotland .God you Ladies & Scotland ! The answer to 1984 is 1776 !
What time of day did you hike up there Erin? When I went up Conic Hill there was hundreds of folk walking up and down it. It was actually more like Sauchiehall street that day. "That was a Noooo Baaad video all the same" Lol 👍
The balmy temperatures clearly had no effect on you :) Seriously I'd never want to leave that spot with such views. I swear if Scotland was a person..preferably female...I'd put a ring on it
I probably shouldn’t watch this video of you breathing hard going up the hill while I’m struggling on the elliptical. It’s not as motivational as one might think. Hot, you don’t know hot. Let me tell you. One year it was so hot that my mom baked my birthday cake by mixing the batter, pouring it into a pan and leaving it on the kitchen table through dinner. By the time we’d finished eating, the cake was perfectly baked. And I didn’t even have candles because they kept melting. True story.
