Filmed in Early September, we camp in our van for a few days and make our way up to Northern Vancouver Island where we hike to an old fire lookout.
We attempted this trip last year in our old vehicle and sadly weren't able to make it to the trailhead. We get some redemption on the steep logging roads (with only a couple hiccups along the way)

I was just watching Steve and his trip to the cabin right on the edge of the ocean and he mentioned you guys and I decided to check you guys out and watch your visit to fire lookout. And I love the views you guys were able to see. I presently live in the Midwest, but I went to high school in the Sierra Nevada in Northern California and was on a fire crew high school, and got to see some amazing mountain ranges being on a fire crew. And your trip to that lookout gave me views of places I will never be going. Thank you for the adventure that you went on.

@@wayoftheroads Your welcome. I would say that there are thousands upon thousands of places in Northern California, that are worth being called secret hidden places. Both Plumas and Tahoe National Forests are full of Lakes and Mountain Peaks, that you have to hike in to, to get to see.

Too bad about the drone, it spazzed out and crashed at the same time I said "he should dry it out first" Doh! The last 2 I crashed were in the ocean so I can relate 😂 great video!

Haha I think I was just excited to get it back.. didn't think it through 😅. Crazy part is, it still flies! After taking some time to dry out and a few new propellers, she's good as new! (Sort of.. haha). Thanks for watching. Cheers !

Very good 👍🏻 Have you had the Birch Benders Paleo pancakes??? 😋 Regarding the video before this,we've had good luck with peppermint oil on cotton balls to detour mice and bugs 🤷‍♂️ That's all Have a great day

We haven't had those but we'lll have to try them ! And I heard good things about peppermint oil! I will definitely stock up for the next time we have tiny visitors in the middle of the night 😅

Hey, This was another banger. I just love the song Empty Sky. Is that lookout on Van Island? Blackberry jam is so good. My mom used to can it when I was a child. Looking forward for the next one!
