Sophie's dad is actually fairly nice. He was only abrasive because he wanted Mark to not to destroy his own life with a loveless sham marriage. Mark's dad is abrasive because he's just a sociopath

Sophie shows up at Mark's on the wrong day, insists on coming in anyway, and then tries to suggest Saz's antics were somehow planned by him to humiliate her. I know it's just a show but damn that frustrated me 😂
