Bernie is bad on women's issues. He doesn't do enough to fight for the rights of women and girls; he sidelines them because he doesn't grasp what it means to live as a woman in America. He is so out-of-touch.
Scot Reutzel I've checked out his website and have listened to his speeches, and I really tried to get behind him at first, because I like his economic plan a lot. I've just been really disappointed with the way he seems to think women's issues can just be boiled down to 'birth control, abortion, equal pay'. As a woman, I've faced violence and sexism my entire life, and to see only one point about women in his 12-steps forward plan was not good enough for me. Women are 51% of the population, and when Hillary speaks she regularly addresses women's issues in detail- to her, they aren't sideline problems, or a single point (that only dealt with income inequality) on a plan. I respect your support for Bernie, however I myself will be voting Hillary (or possibly Biden, if he decides to run).
Danielle Lastat thanks for the incite. I'll look more closely at those issues myself. My issue with Hillary is her inconsistency. Just 2 yrs ago she was strongly against gay marriage for example. Would be interesting to see Biden make a run though.

Bernie Sanders is more for equal rights than Hillary Clinton, for example, Bernie has been supporting gay marriage for his entire political career, Hillary just became a supporter of gay marriage in 2013.

I love Ellen but does she not know who Bernie Sanders is? He's WAY more progressive and has a was better track record with the LGBTQ community. He is very progressive with regards to women's rights. I personally side with him because it was aggresive foreign policy that destabilized the region in the first place. Hillary is too aggressively pro-war for me. And regarding gun control, he is slightly more shaky, but I'm confident he is gonna come out with some policy suggestions soon to add to his platform given his interactions with Black Lives Matter
Max 2489 I know first hand that race, gender, or etc. will not guarantee the public a good president. Look how the bonus of having a "first black president" cost us. He has pushed for the TPP something that will take jobs away from America. It also has laws that give more power to corporations in courts than the American people. In my community I used to see Hispanics voting for other Hispanic candidates based simply on that fact. But things are changing and people are eager to vote for not just a qualified candidate (which are few) but for someone who has a track record of fighting for the people and not simply cozying up to corporations. If the democratic media were not so scared in thinking that Sanders is not strong enough to take on the republicans, he would be showcased in more media platforms. But, it's okay anyone who even vaguely does any research would know that Sanders is the best candidate across the board. He could even help those low income christian republicans by saving their jobs. The irony.

Hillary is lovely! Her confidence and intelligence and level-headedness and experience is so refreshing. I remember being excited for her election back in 2008 when I was 13. This weekend I met a NY City firefighter who was inside the first Tower when it began to collapse on 9/11. He and another firefighter felt the building falling, so they took off running. The two made it out just in time to run down into the subway tunnel. The concussion blew them off the stairs into the bottom of the tunnel where they remained for a bit. Realizing they were OK, the two found an opening further along the subway and as they came out, the second tower fell. The concussion knocked them down again and this guy I met, was pinned next to a car getting pounded with debris. He got up from the ground and noticed he had metal sticking out of his hand, so he located the medic nearby. The medic wanted to send him to the hospital, but he refused, pulled the metal out of his hand wrapped it in gauze/tape, then went back to find the rest of his guys, his colleagues. Shortly after, while searching through the rubble, a man showed up, took his jacket off and began searching through the rubble with them. Reporter's arrived and started taking pictures of the jacket less man, but his reply was: "If you publish those pictures I will sue you."That man was Donald Trump. Like him or not, he loves America and is a true patriot.This guy I met, had only good things to say about Trump. The story was amazing to hear! - Boz

Fun Fact: Bernie Sanders was fighting for gay rights as early as 1983. That's 32 years ago, before most people even considered gay rights to be an issue. In contrast, Clinton said as early as 2004 that marriage is between a man and a women. One is a civil right visionary, the other will say whatever it takes to get votes.

Hilary would be a good president. She's got fantastic experience as mayor of NY & First Lady. She knows all about being a president because of Bill. She's got a sense of humour and genuinely seems like a good person. People will say anything to knock anyone in the spot light and blow things up out of context. She's not racist or any of that. She's fine.

Bernie Sanders is the true Progressive that has supported equality his whole career! Hillary isn't a progressive, she is more of a centrist, and she wasn't for gay rights until just a couple years ago. Ellen needs to catch up, and I think it would do her good to at least speak with Senator Sanders. Bernie Sanders for President of The United States!
