@@Glycamif you mean domestically, London Phillips actually performed the Biles I before Simone Biles ever did-she just never competed at a namable competition.
I ❤️ seeing this!!! It shows how slowly and eventually more athletes will start to add more difficulty into their routines until the Biles 1 is just another regular move and then out of no where one girl will add an extra twist. The evolution of a sport is so fascinating. Today is Simone who evolved it and someday it will be someone new. Beautiful! Way to go to all the girls for having the courage to do these moves and drive to push themselves to achieve more 🥳👏🏼
@@bagelized no. You assumed. All I did was praise the girls/ athlete for striving to do more and more and how the sport evolves. And there is no doubt that Simone is the main reason why the sport is evolving today and will evolve. In a Few years it will be another girl who evolves it. I was only calling the move by it’s name instead of saying “skill”. But when it comes to that… There’s a few other moves named after gymnasts who were not the first to perform the skill. But they were the first to do it in international competition.
@@allyoucanhorror262sometimes people aim to make someone else seem small. Protection like this is just sad. I agree and look forward to seeing the next American gymnastic star.
She couldn't contain her joy at having completed the Biles 1 and I can't contain mine. In tears at her happiness and joy. I'm so proud of her. I know she worked very hard at it
Not bad at the Biles 1. Is she the first person aside from Simone biles to do the Biles 1 successfully on floor?? Love her dance choreography and the reaction towards the end of her routine!! Well done !!!😊
She does it very similar to Simone too with a very late half turn. Some of the other people that have performed it, like Trinity Thomas, did the half twist much earlier.
I really wish they would make this an H. Many gymnasts that can do a Silivas would have trouble with a Biles. Apparently each additional 1/2 twist adds the same amount of difficulty as the last according to the CoP smh. It’s arguably harder than a double lay 1/1. It certainly felt that way for me, because the 1/1 twist aids in rotation, while the half out requires not just a little more power and height than a double lay, but a LOT more. Silivas and Biles DVs should be flipped. G and H respectively. Double lay half out - H Double lay 1/1 - H Double tuck 2/1 - G You would see more Biles’s in this case, but you would still see a lot of Silivas’s, and I think you would still see many more double lay 1/1’s than Biles.
@@bagelized Right. I’m saying it should be a G. Are you saying it should be an F, the same as a double layout? Just making sure I understand what you’re saying.
@@truthteller7891 Because the double layout is also overvalued. It should be an E. So is the double tuck, it should be a C. Truth be told, WAG code is a mess. Double layout is so common it is not even funny anymore, compared to the triple front twist which is an F, double front pike which is an F…
El biles 1 es 2 vueltas atrás extendido con medio giro (el primer salto que hace) simone unió las 2 vueltas atrás con ese medio giro y le colocaron su nombre porque nunca antes lo habían hecho en olimpiadas
@@ANDREWPOLLARD-en5df for your information, Panama is just starting to build a gymnastics program where previously there wasn't one. At the regional level, the Panamanian team is definitely starting to make inroads. Give it some time and I'm sure these Latin American girls will be dancing better than any of the Brits. Its in our genetics to dance well ;-)
It was a pretty routine. However, there are some major execution issues. Not full splits flexed feet. Slight lack of control in all leaps and bounds turn. Ending with a double tuck. Legs aparts on both double layouts and flexed feet.( even the biles). I do get the point about JG’s scores in the past but there are pretty spot in this quals. 1 or 2 tenth up for littles things, but the judges didn’t count a lot of things on others as well.
