Does anyone has the same experiance as I have?....Nobody I know listens to HIM, nobody among my friends and family did, nobody understands why I like it, and nobody likes them a bit. And I just cannot understand how can you not love HIM. I listen to them since I was 13. Now I am 31. As you can imagine I outgrew about 99% of my musics since then but I still love HIM. It's hard rock, it's melancholy, it's emotions, melodies, mystique. It's just pure magic. Maybe I am just one in a million. Dunno.
Man you're not alone! When i was a teenager they were considered 'not metal enough' by my friends, now (32 years old) they are "too metal, we are too old for this stuff"..But I loved them and still love them! I listen to all different stuff but they still have a spot in my heart with their blend of heavy, melody and just good song writing!
@@giomusic4649 I know the feeling. Same here. Hey, I checked out your channel. Really good stuff. Very nice to listen to. :) You're very talented. Keep it up!
OMFG I WAS LOOKING FOR THIS SONG FOR YEARS LITERALLY YEARS I SAW IT ONCE ON TV AND NEVER GOT THE NAME THEN I SAW THIS RECOMMENDED AND CLICKED IT AND HOLY SHIT I AM SO HAPPY NOW
Finland is damn talented for such a small country (population wise). HIM, Children of Bodom, Stratovarius, Nightwish, Darude, Kimi Raikkonen, Mika Hakkinen, ice hockey, Kiira Korpi, Nokia.......
I'm from Finland and I think it's safe to say that 99% of Finnish music is highly overrated. I may be a huge HIM fan but Nightwish, COB, Stratovarius, Darude? ...Really? All of them sound like shit to me.
They are STILL AMAZING ! fuck all you annoying people saying they want old HIM back like what do you expect for him to stay young forever and keep being the same Ville ? hes older now hes grown and this album is just an amazing addition to my HIM collection they still sound like HIM just more mature i absolutely love it! Talking to Ville really made me realize how much they put into this album.
I prefer some of their older albums but that's not to say I don't think the more recent stuff is good. The thing I love about HIM is that each album is totally different - it keeps them original :)
Exactly :) yeah we all love the older albums they are forever amazing haha. They grow as a band and dont stay the same they continue growing along with their sound. It truly amazes me to see a band stay together for so long and still be remembered not by their old albums but for the more recent stuff as well. such a humble band indeed.
oooh girl your so right.. i feel the same.. i love them all. and every album they put out.. well i do dislike a few songs from dark light thats about it
You know how there are some things where you can wander away from them for a little while, and when you come back to them, they are just as deliciously, unbearably wonderful as the first time you fell in love with them? That's HIM - every single damn time. Hurts so good! These guys will be the death of me, and I wouldn't have it any other way. ~ ♥
100% HIM were my all time favourite in my teenage years and I keep coming back to them year after year and will continue to do so for years to come. Talent at its finest
@@brianafredline1785 lol i say you are never to old however its possible to be too new to understand. still all fan boys are welcome. and i gate keep because i'm passionate
Of course Ville is fantastic but let's hear it for the rest of the guys, especially Linde. Rock's very own Legolas! Saw them live and that man is a guitar god. Man, the solos! : )
or... possible. or alcohol. maybe its the alcoholabuse.... dont get me wrong please, have been a fan for over 10 years and i adore their music and talent, but i wish he would have not started again ^^ but damn! that guy still looks great! ill, but lovely.
I always find myself back to HIM when I am struggling to get back up. Always feel better. Music is more reliable I guess. I got my friend to turn my poem into a song. It's by Papercut it's called Pain. All the best songs are about pain. P.S. I don't know what you went through but thankyou for making songs. I don't think many people sit back and appreciate that person probably been through alot and had the strength to do that and that person may not know how much it gives other people who have been through alot, something to get back up with.
Does anyone realized the video anticipate they broke up? All the heartagram are breaking!😭😭😭 never realized before. I wish one day they'll reunion again.🖤
Me and My brother grew up listening to HIM , I even paid for us to go to their farewell tour in London, my brother has a few heartagrams as tattoos, when it came to me getting a tattoo, my brother said we should get tattoos to represent that we are brothers, I knew I had to include a heartagram in the design, this band will always be one of my most favourite bands
I fell in love with HIM in 1998 when a friend made me listen "Greatest Love Songs Vol. 666" and then I lost completely my heart with "Razorblade Romance"... so I've been a very fan proud for the last 15 years. Some songs were not that great but the most of them are out of this world. I love this new one. Ville's voice is still amazing. Thanks HIM for this gift!
What a kind or lovely voice Mr. Valo I've been listening to HIM since the obsolete Dark Light Album was out many years ago I've never been happier I found this Epic band.
+Sabrinaa T ignore that insanely rude fucker!HOW DARE he day such a thing.you are beautiful, and a heartagram tattoo only make you even more beautiful.i hate that people think they have any kind of business commenting on others weight.
His Infernal Majesty - All Lips Go Blue *Lyrics* ------------------- Hear the silent song A moment have come before this. My heart, so violently beats along. Leading me to want to end it all. I weep for the dream in a dream. The one that made all lips go blue. I read the words on torn down walls Reminding me how much I love you. I weep for the dream in a dream. The one that made all lips go blue. I leave bleeding yet another day. The one that made all lips go blue. It's all for you. It's all for you. Weep for the dream in a dream. The one that made all lips go blue. I leave bleeding yet another day. The one that made all lips go blue. It's all for you. It's all for you. It's all for you.
I miss this band so very much. Thanks for all the years of kickass music, and for the incredibly awesome shows I was lucky to attend. Hope everyone is finding success on other adventures.
Tears on Tape is definitely their best album so far! I was a Venus Doom fan for a long time, but as I noticed I wanted to listen to Tears on Tape over and over, I accepted the fact, it's their best. All Lips Go Blue is a very fine example what HIM is musically if you ask me.
Tears on Tape is really great Is like Venus Doom and Greatest Love Songs mashup with some bites from other albuns like Deep Shadows/Razorblade Glad they made their last album exploring their roots influences again
When a band changes their style and experiments people complain because they want the old stuff back, when a band sticks with their style people complain because they want something new. Bands can't win, there'll always be someone whining. This is a great song.
I'm 38, I listen to HIM since Razorblade. HIM has always been in my playlists. I may say that I listen to at least one song everyday. Of course my music tastes change with time, but with HIM I ended to appreciate them more growing up. Lyrics become more clear and deep, the mix of melody and rhythm more interesting. And I hate to remember all the lyrics of HIM, cause growing up I really did enjoy discover the meaning of the songs, and not just hearing the words. Now when a song is ending, I just wish that there still another verse I missed to listen all this time.... but of course there is not... I actually envy people who can listen to HIM for the first time and be amazed by the poetry in the songs.
G00BSXD Glad you like 'em. Is it getting little warm there,))) I know it's winter time coming there, it's still warmer than fucking Finland in summertime.
Ive been a fan for over 13 years, and i must say that Ville is going the way of Mick Jager. Might still have the pipes and the moves, but the smoking, and drinking are taking a toll.
FABULOUS!!!!! They may not have ALL hard core heavy songs now, like they did, back in the day, but they've evolved w/the times, as music is suppose to do! I LOVED HIM back then & I LOVE them now, just the SAME! Ville seems to express himself in his music to whatever I believe is going on in his personal life at the time he's writing & I think he captures it VERY WELL! Especially with him being such a private person, when it comes to his personal life, his music tells us how he's feeling!
Bam Margera, if you see this, it's because I had a dream and told me to comment this. It's the way the universe works. Stay safe and don't drive drunk bud
Andrei Minimal They created their own subgenre. They call their style love metal because they always sing about love. Also their symbol is of a heart and pentagram. So yeah, Love Metal.
Glam rock, Love Metal.....all the same. (Kiss, Bon Jovi...) I like Him a lot, but he didn't created that style. He just "leveled" it. (and that's very well anyway ^^)
I see this band more than just a band. They are an inspiration, they are amazing. I saw them back in 201 and by far that was my favorite show that i had ever gone to. God bless Ville Valo and the rest of this band. Long live HIM long live their country Finland!
my husband and i have been fans for 10 years, also. And still love hearing them. Will always be fans. Him is like the background music to our lives. We fell in love listening to it, we married to the sound of it, we danced in living rooms with our 4 year old daughter listening to it, and i put headphones to my belly so our second child can hear it. :) It's beautiful music.
To the ones saying that they have "changed" and went "commercials". Go and listen their previous albums , and you'll cleary notice some kind of "esence" in them. And the last one, is not an exception. They've still got it. Change is better than make the same thing over and over.
I was a HIM fan for their earlier stuff. The last album I got was Dark Light which I really didn't like and I kinda forgot about them. I just stumbled across this video and DAMN it's good. This actually reminds me of old HIM. Dunno wtf everyone else is complaining about though
I don’t know what it is but I feel like Ville Valo’s voice slightly got deeper. Like even more deeper than couple years back. Could be from the smoking.
Какой прекрасный, чарующий голос, заставляет меня плакать и наслаждаться. Поистине талантливый, уникальный человек. Совершенно неповторимый исполнитель, богом поцелованный. Спасибо за самые прекрасные музыкальные мгновения.
You all.obviously do not understand ville and the band at all.they're.still the same band...just like they were when.thry started...so him and them are.trying. different things/sounds and they still.sound amazing...if u don't like their music.u were never.a.fan.in.the first.place!
thank you finally someone who agrees with me lol. They always had different styles in thier songs and meaning so why is it now thats the problem? Always been a fan and i dont see any major changes they are still the same band to me and love them no matter what. And as you said if you dont like thier music you were never a fan in the first place.
I used to be an obsessive HIM fan, I worshiped the album 'Love Metal' and practically every song they had ever recorded and then out came 'Tears on Tape' and I felt like crying, the album is okay at best, they have for me completely lost there edge that kept them unique - they seem to have conformed to more popular music instead of sticking to more underground stuff, niche if you will.. Now it feels more mainstream and doesn't have that haunting feeling anymore.. I also think that Ville no longer for whatever reason sounds as good - he used to use his voice in the most magical of ways.. Please guys get back to what you did! Give us some darkness again..
i agree with you up to one point, you are right about the songs they can't be compared to love metal.but here is the thing with long lasting bands.they tend to change and adopt to each era with only exceptions of ac/dc and iron maiden.every other bands including him has changed it's sound and style throu out the years...as for his voice yeah he has a magic voice especialy for balads.his voice is erotic and romantic at the same time.and don't forget ville is a manical smoker.that takes it's tol on his vocal cords.but i'm going to see for my self about that in month, they are coming in athens so we'll see...but here is my thing my friend.i've been their loyal fan for almost twenty years and i still love them even though their last two records were lesser than the previous ones...i'm a himster for life....kisses from greece
10 years later & I'm still entranced by Ville's voice... he is the only person besides my husband who can get me out of a anxiety funk just by listening to his voice... such a big fan I've seen them live twice & I have a heartagram tattooed on my forearm
H.I.M Is in a space of their own. I greatly respect them as a band who does not follow anybody. They create their own way , and you don't have to follow them like it or not.
