lol. I have been a fan since late 90s going on nearly 20 years. I don't listen to them very much anymore kinda burned out friendship at this point, but its odd he looks old now I remember him in 98-99 like it was yesterday. I was in 9th grade then and no one even knew who HIM was at that point in time.
It makes me cry, too. I'm from Germany, was born in 1993 and I'm a HIM Fan since 2000. My favourite song of Him will ever be For You from Greatest Lovesongs Vol. 666. I'm going to HIM's last concert on Dezember, 4th in Germany. The news makes me so sad... I don't want that HIM stop after such a long time.... They were the band of my life :(
Who cares whether Ville looks old or not? He still has the same beautiful voice that made me fall head over heels for this band when I was 12, and I'm now nearly 21. Surely that should be what matters, what they sound like - not what they look like?
totally agree with you there i have been a fan for 14 years and counting and i love all his albums and singles. Ville never let me down when it comes to his voice is awesome his great in live concert also.

I totally agree with you. Why the hell should anyone care if Ville is looking old? A little fact for everyone is that we are all getting older by the second. The only thing that should matter to anyone is a persons heart and intentions. Ville has the most undoubtedly beautiful voice I have ever heard from a male. His messages in his music are that of a true dark romantic. With his voice and his music combined you can see the contrast of dark and light. But then again I have been a HIM fan since 2003 and he is only 6 years older than I. So I would be one of the first ones to say something like this.
HIM has gone through cycles. From popish, to heavy, poppish to heavy. But they retain their dark and gothic undertones. And VENUS DOOM is so underrated. But I enjoy their stages and they never serve me something I just heard the album before.
Id still marry him. he's the ultimate heartthrob. Always has been, always will be. Him has always made my heart melt. I don't care if Ville is 21 or 100. All he would have to do is ask me to be his, and that would be that. That man has had my heart since I was 12-13 years old.

Sad thing is, it is just your imagine. And that imagine is just based on an image of a person, not the person itself. It‘s easy to fall in love with an imagine, but it has nothing to do with with reality or the real person (which you don‘t know). Bonding problems can cause such obsessions: so you don’t have to deal with real love and real relationships, you will never be left alone (an image can‘t leave you), you will never be disappointed (cause you create your image). But the point is, you will not find out what real love means, as long you prefer to stuck on a imaged love. It’s absolute normal to feel sth. like that in your youth, but if you still prefer images before real love, you should find out what‘s your problem. Try to imagine what it would feel, if a total unknown person would have those obsessive feelings for you. Would be creepy, wouldn‘t it?
Ville Valo is seriously the best song writer I have ever heard of. It is amazing the depth of the lyrics in all of H.I.M.'s songs. Every song I listen to I can get lost in so easily. I f**king love Ville Valo.

I remember my dad introduced me to HIM back in 2000 and all throughout intermediate, middle, and high school they've been my favorite band; here we are 16 years later and they're still one of my top 5 bands. Ah. the memories, lol.

Every time I listen to HIM I get reminded of my first girlfriend. I remember how in love I was with her and I started listening to this starting with Dark Light album. Even though she's gone, the feeling of love still lingers in my heart.

As an younger H.I.M. fan being so as of 2005+ when Dark Light Came out, have need to say that their music is very powerful from their loud, yet melodic instrumentation and Ville's versatile singing has embedded a beautiful chapter in my life. Having grow up with HIM, listening to their spectacular music (even the fact that I was born in ‘99) I never had the chance to watch them live before the break up of the band. This band had (and still has) a great influence in my life, as also in many people’s lives. I hope Ville and the crew will find the musical stimulus they need to work again together. I’ve loved this band since I was probably 10-11. I’ve loved Ville’s voice more than anything and while he’s doing his own thing, I’m still supporting the music and him. He’s my first real deep musical love and that will never change.
Ville's age is really shining through, that last album I listened to by H.I.M was 2005 when they released Dark Light and he looked like he was in his late 20's early 30's but now you can tell old age is catching up. don't know how he does but he can still pull the woman and rock out.

Until today, I have been crying when I listened this song for at least 3 times. I don't know why this song can make me feel a lot of feelings, like sadness, warm...etc. I think I'll cry again and again for this song, I'm joyful that I meet HIM (for about 7 years, maybe it isn't so long for many people), and every time when I feel depressed, I only want to listen HIM. There's definitely not gonna be a new album by the end of this year. They are supposed to be coming back next year, so I think that it's more likely there might be one sometime then. They took 2016 off to work on their side project stuff, and I would not doubt some new HIM music in between, so 2017 will be the year they are back with a new album. I can't wait, I miss them.
I love this song. Excellent song writing. I overlooked this band back in the day, as I was a 90s snob and wouldn't listen to anything but foo fighters, post 90s. I am pleasantly surprised 😊👌

This band helped me survive alot of psychological shit as a teenager. I gotta admit I was apprehensive to buy this new album, but I finally did and ya know its one of my new favorites. Turn em on when things start getting to hard and it makes my day better. Thanks HIM!

I know, right! I've been in HIM -bandwagon since -97 myself, almost 20 years now. It feels so fucking unreal. Heard them first time on a little finnish summer festival when I was 12 years old, and still loving them as much as ever.

This.... This isn't Ville. I mean, he looks like Ville, but he's older. There's no way Ville can age. He's like an immortal angel, blessed to be young and beautiful forever! No, but in all seriousness he still look absolutely beautiful! Truthfully I think he looks even better now than he used to. Age seems to give him a slightly wizened look, which really suits him.
