Im new to this ebike thing My older brother bought an aventon level 2 and gave me the 101 on torque and cadence sensor differences So my question real for this is Is this torque sensored?

I live in St. Louis, too. In April, my best friend was killed in traffic on his Himiway. He shot right out in to cross traffic, was hit square on by a box truck, and flew about fifty feet through the air. He was wearing a full motorcycle helmet, kneepads, and gloves. I don't know that his bike malfunctioned, but a bike mechanic had just tuned up all the non-electric parts. Furthermore, it's an uncharacteristic maneuver on his part to ride recklessly. All I'm saying is please be careful out there. I am a delivery driver and the roads in St. Louis are like the Wild West, as you know. Peace, my brother.

Enjoyed your video good info. I have the step thru I purchased b4 Covid- when it cost only $1,300 I have 999.8 miles on it I had absolutely no problems with my step thru. However It did fall off the back of my SUV bike rack @ 40 mph and the only damage was to my mirror I installed. So it is a well built bike I recommend it to all. Once again thanks for sharing you view on it

Glad you liked the video and thanks for sharing your experience with it. I'm currently looking into getting a bike rack for my suv that's made for e-bikes. Are you thinking about getting a new bike rack and if so or you did already, which one do you use?

Great video. Thanks. I have an Aventon Aventure but want a second eBike for guests to use. The Himiway cruiser looks like a pretty good deal. Down to $1549 now. The Aventure now comes with downgraded components - LTWOO A3 rear derailleur and A3 8-speed shfter (about $11 for the pair on Alibaba), cheaper Zoom hydraulics rather than the already cheap Bengal Ares 3s originally spec'ed on the model, etc. The Himiway actually comes with better components than the $300 more expensive Aventure. Even the Hemiway mechanical discs (Tectros) are pricier than the cheap Zooms on the Aventure.

thanks for the review of this bike. I have been looking into this exact model for awhile now. I have a a carbon fiber Masi road bike, a Cannondale mountain bike and a Burley tandem in my garage, But recent hip replacement surgery and a couple of bad knees have had me re-thinking how I can continue to enjoy the sport I love. Most of my riding is commuting to work which is 30 miles round trip plus some outings on our local rail trail and some weekend back road rides which include some dirt roads here in New England. I am looking for a comfortable bike with good range that is reliable. What are your thoughts on this bike. Thanks again for this fine review.

Very detailed review man! Love that display, display controls, body styling/aesthetics. Nice bright headlight as well for night riding. Never knew much about electric bikes until you started reviewing them. What made you start reviewing these? Other than them being tech, technically lol

Dude, that's why I cover them. I'm happy you're interested in them now. Big reason I'm reviewing these more is because they're fun and get me out of the studio and outside in fresh air and it's a different type of challenge to film vs the standard smartphone review. The smartphone/Apple category on RU-vid is so crowded and the main thing that keeps me going after 15 yrs of creating is mixing it up. I just got a really cool e-bike in. Wait till you see this one. I'll probably post some pics on my social this weekend.

@@SoldierKnowsBest I would imagine the challenge being different with the camera work/angles, general approach, review tactics, tests, etc. Getting out the house and staying active is also a plus for sure. Can’t wait to see the new one you got in! This type of stuff is definitely the way to keep it fresh and companies make these E-Bikes/Vehicles much better these days. That Segway Ninebot Gokart is quite a looker 👀

It should have chargers attached to the the tires, (like the tire powered lights of old) to prolong battery life. It's not like the technology doesn't exist, it's actually older than e-bikes...

What about customer service? Got a chance to buy the step through with the car rack included. 79 miles! $1500. Just concerned about dealing with Himiway someday. Nice review!

None of these offshore eBay companies provide any real good customer support. Local bike shops typically won't work on anything they don't sell so you're pretty much on your own. The good news is especially with this bike they are very generic meaning that all of the various components are readily available on the Internet. All it takes is a little bit of mechanical skill and you can maintain and fix most anything on these bikes.

Not just an e-bike channel, but this is a tech channel and I love covering everything in tech besides just Apple and smartphones. Out of my last 10 videos, only 4 have been electric bikes so I'm still diversified. 👍🏽

Weldon video. However, you kind of made it sound like this is a newcomer. His company's been around for quite some time as has this model. I have a 2020 model which was made before they lock down the program in a bit and I've been able to increase the current to the motor as well as the top speed and can now easily reach 30+ miles an hour on throttle or pedal.

Don't buy this bike!! Their customer service is beyond poor. My son needs a new charger, which I think is ridiculous as it's fairly new. They are impossible to deal with and difficult to even get a hold of! Just FYI... get a rad instead.
