Tbf when you live as long as Frieren it's difficult to keep promises like that. It's like telling someone that can never lie their entire life, eventually circumstances will force them to.

Frieren became famous in name, but after a "mere" 80 years nobody recognizes her appearance, even when she's next to a statue of herself.

​@@Restilia_ch In the end, she still kept her promise. Her fame faded into a legend that can't be pinned to her anymore because of missing key details. Which is fine for someone so long-lived while making sure demons do not sense her until the time comes.

Attack on Titan is one of the few others that actually pay attention to that sort of thing. It really shows commitment to worldbuilding, and makes everything so much more immersive.

@@kappachino_6854 Yes, but the fact remains that Heiter felt she was about one fifth of his mana, and its stated elsewhere that she tends to restrain her mana to roughly '100 years', and that it hasn't really changed since her time in the Hero Party. As such, Heiter's mana pool is about 500 years, which puts him around Aura's level. Given that Aura was known to be an incredibly strong Demon, it speaks volumes about Heiter's mana strength. Add to that his very powerful Holy Magic, and he was a priest you did NOT want to mess with.

@@Ares99999 was it in the manga that said she tends to restrain her mana to 100 years? If so why would she limit it to 100 years when the purpose is to make herself look weak to fool demons? She's been suppressing for more than a 1000 years and it shows in the anime the mana lvl literally gets smaller each time passes for her. I haven't read the manga but I'm going off of the anime where it showed her suppressing her mana really well (almost completely) in one scene, and then the next scene is her meeting the party of heroes where Heiter says that she has 1/5 of his mana. I don't doubt heiter still has a larger than average mana pool compared to other human mages. I just don't think he had the same mana as Aura the guillotine.

@@kappachino_6854 Its stated at one point that she keeps her mana restrained to 1/10th, and she has 1000 years of mana power. I think 100 is considered pretty weak to spellcasting demons, or at least something they can beat. 200-300 is powerful, 400-500 is Demon Lord Level, and I guess the Demon King was well above 500. Flamme, one of the strongest mages there ever was among humans, was likely well above 500, as even Aura couldn't break her old protection spell, although less than 1000, as Frieren's power surpassed her eventually (likely 800-900). Of course Serie is absurdly strong, as her restrained mana equals Frieren's UNrestrained mana. Still, I do remember that Frieren restrained at about 1/10th, and Heiter judged it at about 1/5th his power. As such, her mana pool is at least twice his. It makes sense that Heiter would have an unusually large mana pool, given he was a power healer and holy magic user that was in no way considered weaker to Himmel, Eizen and Frieren, all three of whom were individually extremely powerful. These four killed the Demon King, and its made clear that it was a truly EPIC feat.

@@Ares99999 To be fair, she was keeping at 1/10th a thousand years ago. For all we know, she kept it roughly at the same level, meaning that what was 1/10th back then would be 1/100th now, or something.

No, there are people with sixth sense capable of knowing just how strong a mage is. Himmel, heither, freiren and fern have shown this. Himmel didn’t deduce anything he just felt it. Same thing frieren did with flamme

​@@Fantasy_Finale those ' just feelings ' are often a subconscious level of deduction, when put into words those stuff might not make any sense . These are called ' gut feelings' . Dude probably heard of this mage who can grow plants everywhere and slew a beast or two and when he approached her , it looked like she was trying her best not to attract attention: average people will think her to be just average, but not intelligent people.

But To people like them they probably like the quiet, peaceful expanse of nowhere.

She wanted to live in obscurity. Not everyone is lonely when they're alone.

People are still searching for Flamme's grimoires hundreds of years into the future. If they knew where her grave was, they would have dug her up just to check.

I don’t think that is the case cause didn’t she also say that it’s been 500 years since she last fought a demon. I think she said this when Himmel’s party first came to her.

haha I though no one notice it. I was trying to go through the manga all over again to see when did Frieren start wearing the ear ring however it's probably nothing special. She wear the ear ring sometime after she join the hero party. I was hoping there was secret meaning or connection or promise between Frieren and Flamme.
