God has sent many scriptures with différents prophets in différents times but the name of the faith that God has given to humans is islam, as the Holly Quran is the last word of God and so the first time God Has gave a name to Faith is only in the Quran. Nun of the previous books you'll see a name of the religion, it is all humans inventions. About religions trying to reconcile the monotheism vs polytheism aspect. Muslim scholars actually tried to do that in the past by interpreting Hinduism from an islamic perspective. Thus Hindus could in their way for those scholars be people of the book who received a revelation that changed over time. Thre is indeed one creator in both faiths, and the different deities in hinduism could have been either angels or humans messengers, that were revered to the point of becoming deities. Of course this is not an interpretation that will please many hindus. But it did help in creating ties and relationships in the past, especially in sufism

In Islam death is not the end for us its the beginning of the first stage and your soul after death will get out of your body but when they put you in the grave your soul will come back to your body and you are conscience untile the day of judgment and if you did bad things in your daily life you'll be tortured in the grave but if you did good youll feel better and youll see your place in heaven which will make you want the day of judgment to come faster so you would be in your place in heaven/jannah. In islam, Allah is the Absolute Being, the Ultimate truth and the One and only God, who Creat and rules the entire Universe with its known and unknown parts. Allah is Transcendent, Perfect, One and Unique...
