This video is on my 2021 KX250 but applies to all manual (hydraulic and cable) dirt bike clutch systems. Comment any suggestions for future content! Grant Taylor MX Training Instagram - @GrantTaylor529
Hey man when you installed yours in the directions did you see where it says put the kick starter gear in the freezer for 15 minutes and then an open range for 4 minutes I haven’t installed my clutch yet but I haven’t seen anyone talk about it in the videos just wandering what your thoughts are on it
Amazing Kawasaki just pushed a recall for the Clutch? larger cover more oil capacity better cooling supposedly. Still a good video for installing a Hinson.👍 I have a Complete Hinson Clutch in my 2021 KX250XC.
Yes it is. And honestly I had 26 hours on the stock clutch before it started to slip any. And that was with racing and training for pro ams to get ready for the pro nationals. I think if you run a good oil and change it often you’ll be fine.
Hey buddy, on the Hinson clutch kits for our bike, it says remove the jutter springs and the seat ring that’s right under. Did you only remove the jutter spring and left the seat ring in it?
Rekluse is mainly performance and need a lot more maintenance then Hinson if your super hard on it and race every weekend or your pro or something I would go with rekluse but if your just doin everyday ridin like going trail riding desert track sometimes I would go with Hinson it’s alot safer and has a little more slip
