Gergely Lőrincz It’s a bit of an oversimplification, but it’s serviceable. Certainly good enough to be how to begin mentally breaking down the songs.

As for the lingering plot point overarching the 3 songs, that's exactly right. I had a paper in college I did that touched on that exact model as well. Of course delving deeper there's more to it, but to get the point across especially to someone hearing them for the first time that's exactly how I'd explain them.

There's also a bit of how he feels about his parents, and their religion mixed into these, and his mother dying, etc etc. The three songs are REALLY deep in meaning.

I've been calling for this since he started his metal journey.. Pretty sure Alex would love it.. And I kept on pushing the live version in niems France, the famous colosseum.. From 2008.. Its a brilliant live performance and they were absolutely amazing and feeling it that night.. James playing the beginning with his eyes shut, lost in the music...

I think it's one of their best songs. Guys are great at songwriting, and grungy murkiness of Until It Sleeps is standing out pretty well.

Exactly. Or you can look at it this way: Unforgiven 1: They all are the problem. I can't forgive them. Unforgiven 2: I thought you was like me, but you are just like them after all. I can't forgive you. Unforgiven 3: I was the problem all along, not them. I can't forgive me. EDIT: And also after you have heard all of them you know that Unforgiven 1 is actually all of them combined in very short way. It talks about dying as an alone old man in Unforgiven 1 which correlates with Unforgiven 3 which is the end.

They are like any group that has been around for a long time and their style changes. Load is one of my favorite albums, AJFA being the best. St. Anger is the only one I have issues with and it's the damn snare. Some guys recreated the whole album with snare and it sounds incredible.

Agree. The solo of the unforgiven is one of Kirk's best work for me. Not complex stuff, but it hits you.

And if you have ever watched “Year and a Half in the life of...”, making of the black album, you see the hard work he put in to that solo. For me, that makes it even more touching.

100% agreed. He said it so easily "I can already tell, I like this solo more than form the first one" ..wow. I mean, I like UNF II solo but the first solo is just a masterpiece, hands down.

lukeslayer I just got done listening to Load again earlier today, and I forgot how awesome that song is. Metallica does country better than most country artists.
