Perfect timing for this video, Ash. I'm applying this one along with the groin stretch video. Thanks a ton from the American Southwest Desert! I just started running this past Dec. I could barely walk down the block because of health conditions. I ran my first 15k distance two days ago :) This change probably saved my life. Thank you again for everything. You never know who you're going to impact :)
Oh wow, that’s amazing to read!!! Thank you so much for sharing! And a MASSIVE WELL DONE for running your first 15k!!! 🙌🏻👍🏻 you have a mental strength that can take you a long way, keep setting those goals and working towards them as that will keep you motivated! Greetings to the American Southwest from a village in the north of England 👋😊 I appreciate all your comments 🙏
Hello from the mountains outside of Cali, Colombia 🏃♀️🏞️🇨🇴 I was feeling like my token set of stretches and yoga sessions still weren't hitting spots like I needed and I'm so glad I found your channel.
Thanks for sharing!! Greetings to Cali, Colombia from the UK 👋 Glad you liked this stretch with me and it hit the spot, thanks for commenting and welcome to my RU-vid community 🙏😊
I repeated this one again today and it's making such a difference to get right into those tricky parts of the hip. I notice a difference even a week later ☺️
8:33 funnily enough, i followed this video both last week and today. Both times ran the same distance with nearly-identical walking/running speed and ratio, but last week i my run “handt gone to plan” and today it did! Just goes to show how important realistic and CIRCUMSTANTIAL expectations are…
For context. Last week i had been after a physically tiring day of work and i hadnt slept well, but still i had treated it like any other run, and expected high/improved results (similar to my previous few runs). Today i came with the knowledge that i had missed out on my last two runs because of some holidays, and so i was prepared to take it easy and therefore had pre-set an easier goal. Different expectations. Same results. Suffice it to say i came out of my run today a lot happier than i did last week…
Love that realisation. That’s such a great insight into how everything else can affect our running or our perception of it. Glad I could help you stretch after your run 👍🏻😊
Hi Ash, another great video! Really enjoyed that one, not so much the crunching clicking sounds coming from my hips 😂 (Apologies, my fat thumbs clicked the thumbs down button first but I’ve changed it to 👍🏼!!) I’ll defo be looking at your membership when it comes out- not sure if I’ve missed it yet! Thanks again 🙏🏼 #2weekstilllondon
Exciting times Ryan, taper time!! I hope London goes well and you enjoy the experience. So glad I could help you as always. The membership is launching this month mate, just putting the finishing touches to the last programme and then will be launching it and updating regularly with new programmes 👍🏻😊
Thank you Ash. I'm doing a five mile "race" (probably a slightly faster than usual plod) next week and I'll do either this or one of your other standing ones afterwards.
Thank you too Daniel, I’m glad you enjoyed video and my videos have helped you as a new runner😊 thanks for stretching with me and commenting 🙏 greetings to Queensland from a village in the North of England 👍🏻👋
Thats great to hear Lin, thanks for sharing with me! Glad it was helpful for your tight muscles, I appreciate you stretching with me and taking the time to comment! 🙏😀
Another great Video Ash.. 3 wks until Manchester Marathon (my first one) and your stretching videos have made me feel almost human again after the long runs! Keep up the great work mate 👍🏻
Thank you so much, thats so good to hear your feedback as always. I'm very humbled that my videos have helped your Manchester Marathon prep!! Good luck with that, I have 2 clients running that one. Keep me updated with how it goes and well done for taking on the challenge 👍😀
I like that kind of stretching very much 🙌 What I experienced as I follow you along during this video was that my foot where all the weight is on at the kosacen squat wasn't flat at the ground. I think the reason is because I'm not flexible enough in the ankles. Do you have any videos how to improve ankle flexibility? 😍
Glad you enjoyed this stretch! Thanks for stretching with me. I will tag a calf stretch video which is good for ankles! Have a great weekend 🙌🏻😊 After Running Stretches for Tight Calves ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ppYyoqmSXfs.html
Thanks Ash. my hip has been so tight and sore recently. Had a good run though today and look forward to your post run videos. I need to improve my pre run fuelling.
You're so welcome Francia, glad you enjoyed this stretch with me as always and it was just what you needed, so happy to help you recover properly after your run 😀
Nice stretch. I only did a short 2 mile run today because I spent most of the morning hiking a nature preserve with a friend. I figure the stretch is good for those miles also!
The second exercise was great wow! It was so funny how you said maybe we will hear some noises from our hips exactly when i heard so many crunchy sounds hahaha Thank you so much Ash!
😂😂I must have sensed your hips were about to make a tune Ron!! It is quite normal for that to happen with hips, it’s fine as long as it’s not painful. Thank you so much too for all your comments 🙏😊
Great idea Paul, hopefully this will help your hips. Theres a longer one coming up in a few weeks too as I know it's a common area of issue for people!
I had already finished another stretch video by you and decided to do just a bit of a second one, but I ended up doing the entire stretch because it was so good!! I loved the hip rotations, I'd never done that kind of stretch before !
Fantastic! Glad you enjoyed this stretch with me Andrew and it was just what your hips needed, so happy to help you recover properly after your run as always 😀
You’re welcome Marie😊 Thank you too for commenting, so glad you love this stretch with me 😊🙌🏻greetings to Paris from a village in the north of England👋
This is exactly what I needed for some deep hip pain I’ve been feeling for months now. I think I’ll just do this (and some of your other videos) 2wice everyday just to help me feel better. Thanks as always Ash!
Thank you too for commenting to let me know, glad you enjoyed this stretch with me and it helped your hips 😊🙌🏻 have you tried this one… Perfect Post Run Stretch for Tight Hips & Glutes ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-99DJ_gLgXkA.html
Glad it was helpful for your hips and they feel much better, I appreciate you stretching with me and taking the time to comment as always, thank you! 🙏😀
This felt great Ash. At first I felt so wobbly and thought "this is a core exercise for me rather than a stretch", but then I found balancing easier and loved that it was all gentle on the hips. Will definitely check out your membership when it comes out.
Fantastic! I love that body awareness Anna 😊 I appreciate you stretching with me and taking the time to comment! Thank you for having a look at membership when it launches 🙏😀
Hey Ash! Warmed up with your recent 12 minute warm up video, went for a tempo work run today alternating between various intervals of running then walking for two minutes and repeated that for about 30 minutes, and wrapped it all up with this cool down stretch. Was definitely a gentler run day compared to nonstop running for 25+ minutes, and this post-run stretch was like having dessert after a cheat meal 😂
😂😂 amazing, that’s so great to hear it felt like the dessert after your 30 minute run!! Thanks as always for your comments, so good to hear about your progress 😊
