The amount of joy radiating from Hiromi as she plays is astounding! There may be someone who loves playing as much as she does, but surely nobody loves playing more.
Une telle musicalité et créativité dans le jazz moderne, c'est absolument époustouflant. Un immense bravo à tous les trois. La plupart du temps ce jazz est ennuyeux et n'est qu'une démonstration technique, mais là il s'agit vraiment de talents exceptionnels et de génie musical. Et Hiromi, si géniale et si belle dans sa jouissance de la musique. La perfection humaine existe et c'est rassurant.
Don't know about that, there are many many other superb musicians out there. She is definitely at the top of the heap though, especially in piano technical skills/musicianship in this genre...one of my favorites.
Wonderfully pleasant, takes your attention from the first till the last note without a fall. She's absolutely one of the greatest contemporary. Also the recording is great quality, my compliments for all the job.
Fantastic Record! Anthony's best bass sound captured - the microphone of the battery is perfect, very natural! Hiromi rare sound quality recording - I regret not having one more
If you opened a whales stomach you’d find all sorts of odd things such as car parts, plastic bags, fishing gear etc. If you opened Anthony’s you’d find 14 picks.
I saw her with Simon Phillips, then with Steve Smith and I found the trio sounded more united with Steve. Just a matter of taste, but a lot of guys could do this, and sound better with the acoustic piano.
@@ofdrumsandchords I suggest you listen to the recording of Dreamer at the Montreux Festival 2014 on You Tube because the sound of the piano is fabulous.
@@duprattcarol thank you, it's a fantastic take. She's deep into the music, she makes me think of Pat Metheny. Simon is her choice, she is influenced by Ahmad Jamal. Ahmad leads trios where the bass and drums back the piano. Very different from other trios, Corea/Pattituci/Weckl , Jarrett/Peacock/Dejohnette or Scofield/Swallow/Stewart wich are three musicians conversations. I'm a fan of Simon in Toto or in Protocol, but he sounds a little old fashioned here.

It's a shame mr. cameraman didn't capture the front-on of Hiromi as she looks at the band and gives expressions that will 'key-in' or 'state-a-change' to the bass or drums ...how they "talk" and play! Fascinating! (Zycopolis TV picked up on it!)
Remarquez , ça vaut pas les ingénieurs du son de france 2 qui s'aperçoivent même pas qu'un des musiciens est en train de faire un solo! On baigne dans l'incompétence en matière de musique , dans le service public.
SMART to make the bass guitar have different sounds also i do like the bald drummer better than simons though and btw this aint modern jazz, this is symphonical classical/jazz/rock
