Hi! Im about to order Hirota Takumi custom made. Im conserned about how warm the Takumi is. I realy hate a heavy, dense, WARM gi for every day training. On the other hand do i love the looks of a Kata GI and ofc, the snap. Is this GI good for every day training and does it get very warm doing training? I cant decide between Pinak Kumite or Takumi :( Im not a Kumite Karate ka, i do like Kata, Kihon and regular training more. So, is Takumi good for everyday training, and does it breathe enough to hold the heat away?
This gi should be used for competition only. It doesn't breathe at all. Feels like a raincoat. For frame of reference, the way I've heard the Shureido New Wave 3 described, it's the equivalent if you've ever worn one or know someone who has. If you want something WKF Approved that you can also train in every day, the Hirota #163 has recently been approved.
