@@francisdebock575 Hey Francis, I've had the MH10 for close to a year now and it still holds up just perfect :) even thinking about ordering maybe one or two extra. I'm also from Belgium and the ordering and delivery process was flawless aswell. Hope this helps :D

I’ve been looking at a Hirota Gi for many years. They seem to be the best gis ever made for kata. And traditional karate.

Akita´s Dojo they make it difficult to order and see the guys. You can’t pay via credit card? I really want to order one. Are you guys in Japan? Is there a whole sale account for it?

Thank you for this useful video. Could you perhaps also show a video with a karateka using the various dogi, with the differences in each described. For example, how does the Takumi differ from Pinak Kata dogi. Many thanks

Thank you Stefanie. oss. I have long admired Hirota and have been deciding between these or Tokaido when I get my 2nd Dan. I have always preferred elastic waist over draw-string on dogi bottoms, is this possible in all styles or only in the made to order? thank you Stefanie.

You are very welcome. Many thanks for your interest. Usually, the Dōgi bottoms come with the classic draw-string. Model Tsubasa also has bottoms with elastic waist as an alternative.

Hi, I am training Ju Jutsu and wonder which OZ should I take. 10 or 11 pinack? Or you may have another offer? I don't like thick Judo Gi but should not be very light because of the way we are training. What is it the price for standard no. 5 for kumite with embroidery of my name and high waist pants? How long dose it take to have it in Sweden? Thanks

Hello and many thanks for your comment. I would recommend a thicker material, probably MH-10 or the even thicker - for example #163. Hello Can you tell me a bit about the model Takumi? I would love to get one of those and im about 1.85 m tall Is there a price range you can give me And does the WKF label add to the cost? (I live in Germany, so no other costs)

Many thanks for your interest. The price depends on the exact measurements and other specifications of the dōgi (e.g. embroidery, high or normal waist). The WKF label causes some extra costs because due to WKF regulations, there has to be the Hirota logo embroidered on the chest and back of the dōgi. Hi and thank you for your comment. I wear mine for Shotokan, but as far as I know, there is no difference in the uniforms of both styles.

Thank you for your comment. You could use a thicker standard model like MH-10. It has about 14 oz. Then, there are the custom made models like Pinack Kata (ca. 13 oz) or #163 (ca. 14,5 oz).

Takumi is also an excellent Kata model. Lighter, but still very snappy.

Thank you for comment. Both are fine dôgi and it certainly is a matter of personal taste which one to pick. #163 is a bit thicker than MH 10 and is only available custom made whereas MH 10 is available as standard model and made to measure. Maybe #163 is a bit more famous since world class Karateka like Antonio Diaz and Rika Usami have been wearing it....?

Thank you too :) There is no standard #163. If you prefer to have your #163 with the measurements of a standard size, that would of course be possible. But we always recommend to measure your actual Karate gi and make adjustments wherever necessary. Many regards to Portugal!

It is not possible, currently only Tsubasa and Takumi can have the WKF label...

@@AkitasDojo thx for a very quick answer, that is a bit unfortunate, I think a saw Rika Usami and Moto Kazumaza having the WKF label on their 163 gi. but I understand that it's not an option. The Takumi gi also looks awesome so no problem.

Thank you for your comment. In the past, is has been possible to choose the WKF label for #163. Nowadays, only Takumi and Tsubasa are WKF approved... But we are happy to hear that you also like Takumi :-)

Nice Gi. Personally I wouldn’t like the Hirota Logo in such prominent location, if you want to advertise you have to pay for it.
