Took out the baffle today. Hardest part is getting around all of the fiberglass packing. Took an hour just to fight it. But it's technically simple. Remove the hear Shields, remove the bolts that hold the baffles, & do whatever you can to yank them lol. Sounds amazing and was worth the fight.

As someone who also had a straight piped bolt I strongly relate to this video. Had to baffle my bike when I moved to a quiet neighborhood and rode home from work at 2am

The baffle on my M4 exhaust is super tight. Try putting them in a freezer for 30 minutes. Usually they slide in with no trouble.

I thought V&H already sells quiet baffles for the particular exhaust (twin slash).

more bolt! I still have the baffles in my R1 toce exhaust... there loud af as it is but i keep thinking maybe take them out... no baffles in my vstar though its not as loud though. MORE BOLT! lol

I have the same pipes. I took the baffles out and it was defening. Way too loud. I took the fiberglass wrap off the baffles and reinstalled them.

I bought a V&H slip-on and even with ear plugs it makes riding unpleasant. I still have it sitting in the box after putting the stock one back on. Haven't brought myself to donate it to a bike shop just yet.

I have a Bolt as well. The factory fart can was way too quiet so I put a Shorty GP "muffler" on it. It was staight up obnoxious. Got a $15 ebay baffle. Less obnoxious but still very loud. BTW tell Beau to buy my Mustang Fastback seat. I'm in AL lol

All that fancy equipment, tools, and shop and you waste it all by mainly only working on crotch rockets. At least you finally now have a video using it on a respectable bike!

Have you changed bearing in steering system already in that bolt? It tends to "failure" kind'of. There is half plastic bearing that wears out too fast and steering could get wobbly later on. Idk if this is just EU models thing but you might want to check that. Just giving you an idea for content :P

Jesus, that's way too loud. I also have a friends who rides a cruiser this loud too. I hate it when he comes to visit me or we do group rides with other riders. It causes way too much attention with folks staring all the time.

If you program the bike properly it won’t stall out... Chances are it’s super lean. Chances are also that you will ignore my comment as usual.

Why didn't you put the baffles in the freezer it would have been easier to slide them up the pipes.....

There's some guy, well actually bunch of a guy that stupidly pay/bough a lot of money for really really loud exhaust, complaint about the noice that their car/bike make, disturbing others people, and yet proud of the noice they had. I love the Bolt and it is nice to see it getting some love. It is funny that so many Hardly guys are uptight about it when HD is objectively the worst motorcycle company on earth now, and even a shitty 7K Yamaha just crushes anything HD can do for 30-40K.

That's nothing. I have a honda shadow ace 400 1998 short straight pipes that spews flames. I live in England, I don't think they are legal. You can not hear anything while it's running. That being said my neighbors to my left (80 years old) are just mean as f. I barely started it a couple of times in the last 2 years just to keep it running and they were so bothered that you would of thought i raped their cat. Were even complaining about the fumes( need to clean carb... and everything else😔🙈🙉💩, but i will do it sometime this year, prob cost me more than buying a new one🤷) I don't understand why old pp don't have any respect and if they are bothered by my bike 3 times in a year just move in a forest, why you live in london? Just mean pp.

Too.....loud.....????? I can't understand. I hear people say that phrase all the time, especially with my music, but as if yet. I've still not been able to decipher what it means. I know what "Too" means and what "loud" means, but they become jumbled and incoherent when joined together and I can't understand what people are trying to tell me. P.S. I have a 2017 Bolt with the same exhaust, no baffle, but I removed the kickback from the unbalance. Which kept it loud but it doesn't sputter or stall. Which the disruption Dale was talking about is natural in every bike, but there's a ratio that can be offset simply by changing the length of your pipes that can cause exhaust to bounce back from inside your exhaust into the engine disrupting the Air/fuel ratio in the chamber. Which I solved by, without going into all the details of how I had to figure out where on the exhaust I needed to do so, by drilling a new hole in my pipes and adding just a small nut and bolt into the newly drilled hole allowing for the vibrations to match the engine/valve timing so that it didn't send exhaust back into the engine. Learned that shite in MMI. It was trial and error until I figured out where I needed to drill, but I measured 200x drilled once
