Ok. Hold up. Had to get in on this. It's gentlemen like to open a door. I was raised that way. It might be a cultural difference. But she could've been kind and explained that it means a man respects a women and this is customary here. I would follow customs in another country. It seems as though they were both kind just set in their own ways and neither would budge. This was hard to watch. She was super arrogant once inside the car. He was kind and super confused. She could've explained further. I felt bad for both parties. I love all his responses tho lol...

I believe they are both wrong in this situation. Her delivery was rude and demanding. Normally, an african man will traditionally be respectful and open car doors and things of such. However, some African men will think and treat American black women like the slang AKATA. They don’t know that most of african American women are educated well off by ourselves and can pay for our own $200 dinner and all is required an intelligent conversation and companionship. Married to an African man and every action gets a reaction. It wouldn't have worked out.
