You seem young but i dont mean that in a derogatory way, so ill break it down for you. The american court system is incredibly biased towards mothers when it comes to custody, odds are if the dad is given full custody that means the mother is nowhere near to being in a position where she could pay the child support, 99.9% of the time.
@jessip8654
@jessip8654 7 месяцев назад
@@alexpopov6661 Actually if you look at the cold, hard facts, this is not true. In cases where the father fights for custody, he usually wins. Mothers just usually end up with full custody because fathers are more likely to either bolt or surrender custody.

I know this is 4 months old, but the whole thing is that when you're married, the two people are functionally one person, so the money is both of theirs. So during the divorce, it makes sense for the money for both people's legal fees & stuff come from that "pool" of money, cuz they're not actually split yet, at that point.

Or maybe don't take out so many loans. I'm 26 and own my house and vehicles and have zero debt. And have over 10k in savings that's not counting my checking. It's not hard to be successful. Stop spending on stupid sh*t. I never went to college and make $40 an hour and once a week get payed $60 an hour. Which each day is 10 hour days. I make over 1k a week sometimes 2k. But I will be moving up in pay starting the beginning of the year and will be up to 45 an hour that's almost 70 an hour on overtime days. So yeah I don't need college.

When he was talking about not wanting to switch to a 9-5 or other FT job that's not in his current career field because it wouldn't bring much more than his current income home, I kept thinking...... yeah, but you're not paying taxes or setting anything aside for them right now. If you had a FT W2 job, you'd be bringing more home, and it would be post-tax. And you'd likely have some benefits either provided or given at a lower cost than you're currently paying while self-employed.

Raised by a (much younger than this guy) single father. Until high school I saw him before school and after 7pm. My grandma and aunt helped tremendously and he worked his butt off to provide a solid home and eventually became a very successful business owner. Looking back I am incredibly thankful for the stability even if we wish we had more time together in childhood we have time together now. My half-sister got the oppsite side raised by our mother that barely worked, bounced rentals and schools, never had any stability and it effects her to this day. She has more time with a parent but it didnt translate into well being.

@@ThePeacePlant as my therapist put it, it’s the last thing he can control about me. I didn’t state that I was not at fault of anything. I take accountability for the emotional reactions I had when I should’ve been the rational one, I did lose my wits at times. I tried my best to be all for him but it was not enough. He wanted me to be in absolute agreement with every single decision he made. I couldn’t possibly do it, then it would mean I’m giving up all autonomy. I wanted to talk about issues and work through them, he didn’t want to talk or change things. We tried therapy, he talked smack about all of them not doing their jobs. Understandable but then wouldn’t try to work things out with me. He would blame me for every problem and it got to the point that I truly believed I was the problem because he would convince me so well. Honestly it was a lot of things that I was turning a blind eye to. He said he loved me within the first week of dating and I should’ve known better.
