I can’t tell if Knuckles is making up a reason to fight, because they can’t understand Sonic, or making up a reason to not talk, because they can understand him.
It really is a incognita in animeverse. You either open your jaw the equivalent to ~35% of your skull or mimicks speaking with 2 or 3 different frames in 90% of anime's "lip syncing".
I can say from experience, having your jaw unhinge and get stuck like that is immeasurably painful. Usually happens if I yawn to hard. I had my lower jaw stuck for about a good 30 seconds
I love how when Tails' jaw breaks, he starts to violently shake his head like he's desperately refusing to do an action that he REALLY does not want to do.

I agree! Nothings more tilted then a non broken jaw, because without a mouth and the ability to speak via telepathy, that’s pretty much problem solved! No wonder he didn’t show up in games like this-
As somebody who suffered from tardive dyskensia, I feel this. Having your jaw muscles stop responding while you are talking and needing to physically reach up with your hands to push your jaw shut and give it a twist to move the muscles sucks.
Sorry to hear you're going through that! My jaw clicks when I move it from side to side. I don't want to rub my bone flat (like my sister did) but it aches in my temple sometimes until I click it a few times. 🥲 Yay, deformities!
I laughed so hard watching this video. Like, I can't help but roll on the ground seeing the exaggerated facial expressions be used as a basis of the characters breaking their own jaws.

Knuckles and Shadow seem like they're on the same wavelength, it's just that knuckles is lucid and doing it for the joke while shadow is aware, but truly believes in what he is acting.
If there's anything I've learned from these videos, it's that Jehtt truly loves the Sonic franchise so much that he dunks on their flaws at every opportunity.
I love how after his jaw is fixed & he hears eggman saying only fools speak with their mouths, Sonic makes a conscious decision to not speak anymore (as shown by him just shrugging his shoulders at the end). lol
Knuckles really sounded like one of the fish from spongebob when they break their legs. I really hope he makes a follow up to this one. Amy, Shadow, or Rouge breaks their jaws

My fav part was Knuckles: "Ok that's it you're dead!" Tails: "Can't we just talk this out?" Knuckles: "No we can't, his jaw broke" That was pure comedy gold 🤣 I also love how after both Knuckles and Tails' jaws break Sonic just shrugs like "idk what's going on anymore"
