Hi:) Just wanted to let you guys know that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching every single one of your His Man2 recap episodes during my 6-week break 😂 you guys brought so much humor, insight and navigated each episode with such sensitivity! Really helped calm my nerves during this time of uncertainty and anxiety! Not sure whether I will be in Chicago anytime soon :( but if you are ever in Korea let me know!
we're so happy you shared yourself more wholly with us and allowed yourself to be very vulnerable. your strength really needs to be commended as well as your kindness and compassion. sending love to you always
OMG! I downloaded your music on Spotify because of His Man2. So glad you enjoyed RJ and Adam as much as I did! You deserve the best kind of happiness. You AND your dog.
Junseung went into the house with 4 hoodies and a dream. He got friendzoned by his crush but managed to climb all the way from the bottom to the top and despite getting stuck in a love triangle he always stayed kind, funny, honest and respectful. He taught us a valueable life lesson: to always live bravely and never give up no matter what. They can make a hundred more seasons of this show, but they will never find someone like junseong again. What an icon.
Sorry the "4 hoodies and a dream" sent me hahahhaahha 😂😂 but jokes aside, so so true. What an amazing person he is. Just caring, calm, warm, persistent, courageous. No drama, no nothing. Just real emotions and a bit of courage. He just had to show himself as the amazing person he is, to make anyone fall in love with him. Songho doesn't fall short either, tho. So mature, honest, straightforward, brave, empathetic. They complement each other so well. I wish them so much happiness together.
I couldn't agree more. And I also think that, Junseong is a type of person who could be so easily misunderstood that people who don't know him might find his assertiveness condescending.. it is kinda hard to read him bec he isn't expressive in his words but it is also so easy to spot on his kindness and warm heart since he is a natural. Well, indeed his personality is peculiar yet admirable, something that I would want to have as mine. It is difficult to list it all out, it is even hard to put it into words but, must I say, Junseong is definitely the kind who isn't afraid to be himself; he is straightforward but polite; he is self-assured but not conceited; he is literally gorgeous, skilled, and smart but humble.. and the lists goes on forever. Well what can I say? Junseong, is a catch in every way, he is beautiful from head to toe and inside out and that is very apparent. That's why he is so much deserving of love, and spoilers alert.. he gets what he deserves~♡
@@wherethegreengrassgrow oh i love this comment. you are so right, he has a lot of strong and soft personality traits and those sides of him seem to perfectly meet in the middle somehow. i remember on the first day a lot of the housemates said they found his personality unique and that he was hard to read, but after spending one on one time with him i think they all found him a very casual and comfortable guy to be around. peculiar yet admirable is indeed a spot-on way to describe junseong's personality. thanks for sharing your great insights! :)
if you have not yet watched the seongho and junseong dating vlog, you should. it’s cuteness overload. i’m glad that they are happily dating months after the show was shot.
JS & SH have being in couple for 6month now & they love to go see SW at his cafe , they see each other really often , it's so cute , JS & SH are like bestfriend & boyfriend at the same time it's so beautiful to see them together, they're so funny & happy
I have come across one channel (that live and speak Korean) that totally misjudges Sung Ho. That he is a drama queen, player, and so on. To the point where I'm like am I misinterpreting what I'm seeing? I want to say that you guys are very empathetic and lovely in the way you perceive each person in this show. It's nice to come across your channel that holds no judgement to what these people are experiencing. It's a breathe of fresh air because even I've been caught up in the evil edit too.
I think I know that channel, and part of me wants to believe that channel because maybe they're picking up on cultural and language nuances that I never could. Then I just decided to stop watching their reactions because it was ruining the fun I was having with the show. I shall choose to live in my english speaking don't get everything world for His Man 2.
@@greendragon133But also speaking the same language as someone and being from the same culture as them does not mean you will understand them perfectly or never have any misunderstandings about their personality. Especially on a heavily edited TV show.
Ngl, part of me was bummed when Minsung and Hyeong joon didn’t end up together BUT…I also thought that Joon being like “I’m done” was also cathartically savage and bad ass. Wish he would have done it face-to-face as opposed to writing a letter, which can seem more cowardly and immature, but I’m glad he decided he was done with Minsung’s lack of action. It is a dating show after all and I personally did not like Minsung’s persistent “I want to be chased” attitude and that he never actively pursued the ppl he liked. Although Joon acknowledges that if he hadn’t called Seonwoo that one night, things could have ended differently, I still think longterm the end-result would have been the same. I couldn’t foresee them working out in real life considering their different work lifestyles. AND…There were SO MANY obstacles and miscommunications and unaligned pieces to the Minsung/Joon puzzle that I personally simply don’t think it was ever meant to be, even though they had great chemistry. They were the eternal “ships passing in the night”. Things shouldn’t be that hard. The universe was speaking out. I’m glad that, at the end, Joon finally saw the writing-on-the-wall and bowed out. Plus, Minsung and Hyeong Jin don’t seem to be together in real life after the show so…☕️👀. Am I the only one that felt like Jin was MS’s second choice and MS chose him bc Joon actually made the choice for him? Also, special shout-out to SW for acknowledging his fickleness. We love character development. JS was always SW’s true crush that he never got over and never even got a chance to pursue. Another shout-out to my babies YH and JW for being hopelessly in love with ppl who didn’t like them back instead of each other 😭. No, but in all seriousness, I loved this season and wish nothing but the best for all the contestants. Remember, as Adam said, it’s always easy for us viewers to judge but there’s no telling about what kind of hot-messes we would also be if we were on the show. Sorry for the long comment. Appreciate you guys!✌️
I try not to judge but I was so glad that Joon gave up on Minsung. He basically told him in the cafe in episode 13. He ended the situation. I didn't like Minsung's actions. Never clear, allowing for misinterpretations and not clarifying them. He just wanted to feel desired by some of them, never truly choosing. Minsung choice was to try to save face after being rejected by Joon, but chemistry = 0. Personally, I felt sorry that Chung Woo hadn't found someone who appreciated him in a romantic way. I thought he was a sweet, good-natured person that no one has ever truly "seen"
@@BARROSORQUIDEA Yes, I was also very glad when Joon gave up on MS as well. Obviously, everyone agrees that communication could have been much better from all three of them but the lack of actions from MS really got on my nerves. The guy barely took a step towards anyone but kept sending mixed signals, always waiting for the others to come after him and reassure him of their interest while he just stood there being unsure himself. It definitely felt like he went for the safe choice by choosing HJ.
I think Hyeongjun made the right choice for himself. And I say this because, although I don’t think Minseong was being malicious by stringing him along (Minseong is my best boy btw), if we’re looking at things in black and white, Minseong bounced between the two of them constantly, whereas Hyeongjun chose Minseong every time…until he didn’t (I’ll get to that). If you’re not happy to be left waiting to *maybe* be chosen, without any clarity on why you’re being made to wait (Ref: Minseong not talking to Hyeongjun about his worries) then you should definitely take yourself out of the equation. I think this final decision, by Hyeongjun, started to happen long before any of us, even him were aware. I think he picked up the signs of Minseong being unsure of him very early on, I’m talking like after their first date and the no voice mail incident. And sadly due to both of their lack of communication they weren’t able to clear anything up until it was too late. I think they’re both the kind of person who has to be “forced” to talk about the big stuff and unfortunately the big stuff is what they needed to talk about the most. I’m not sure if any of that made sense but here we are too many words later 😅
I totally agree with everything you just said. The lack of communication between the two was a factor in their decision but after the date I could see a change in MS and I’m betting he picked up on it right away.
So happy for Junsung & Sungho🥰 Hyeongjun made the right decision, Minsung showed himself in his inaction, he was right to protect himself and move on And from the ending looks like Minsung's choice didn't work out💅 Have loved the recaps, as made it even more fun🥰 the jackets look fab on you
The fact that everyone still hangs out, including minsung and hyungjoon, but not hyungjin sksksksksks now i need to know whether minsung and joon started dating.
I said it after S1, and I'll say it again now. Even if you didn't work with anyone on the show, we know the majority of them stayed friends, and hey.... those new friends have friends IYKWIM. Any of them could end up meeting their life partner that way. It's essentially a big networking exercise. With that being said, I hope they all find love and happiness. And thank you both for taking us along with you in this journey. It's been a pleasure to rewatch each episode through your eyes.
Hey! I think I saw someone mention a translation of the letter in the other comments and just wanted to mention that when Hyungjoon said "I used it well." at the beginning of the letter, I think he was talking about the polaroid that was on top of the letter. So basically he was giving back the picture, wishing Minsung well and saying when we see each other in the future we won't be looking at each other as potential dates but just as acquaintances or friends. Also I didn't think it was pride but rather him just not enjoying all the different emotions he had within this relationship before it has even had the chance to properly start. While you can say that it would be different when they leave the house with its special conditions, I think he was emotionally over it which makes it seem like it would have been a bad choice to just push through and still choose Minsung. Tbh I also don't think I really saw chemistry between Hyungjin and Minsung so it may be a bit severe but I'm not surprised that it seems like they didn't go far. I kind of feel like Minsung just chose the guy who was clear to him and made more "sense" - which is different than the other triangle because Sungho had noticeable chemistry with both. So even though a lot of us were rooting for the Roommates it wouldn't have been crazy if Sungho has stuck with Seonwoo after the SH-JS date. I would have been super sad about it but since they only gave us a smidge of what they both agreed was a great 7hr chat but we didn't get to see :( Also it would super interesting for you guys to do a Heart Signal 4 season reaction/review since its a bit late to do episode by episode haha
@@andjelabozovic7365 I just meant that Sungho had chemistry with both so it wouldn't have been weird if he chose Seonwoo even after the first date with Junseong .
Yessss the first line of HyungJun's letter 잘사용했습니다~! means "I used it well." because he borrowed sth from MinSung and he gave it back to him with that letter.
At the cafe day earlier Joon said that now he’s going to protect his heart. So I think Joon made the choice earlier than the last day. Maybe that’s why he told Jin not to give up, because he already did.
seonwoo please don’t play with this kid i swear 😭 you know damn well younghee like you, and he still cuddling hands and leaning his head on younghee’s shoulder??? gurllll i would’ve just gay panicked💀 i mean yea younghee too… he even scratching his nose lmfao hahahaha
I had absolutely noone to talk about this show so I am really thankful for your recaps. I am still trying to get my friends to watch this show cause.. well.. just cause. There are simply no words that can describe how much I loved His man 2! Thank you so much again! Looking forward to all of your videos in the future (especially recaps).
I SWEARR I KEPT SAYING THIS THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE SHOW!!!.. BUT SEONWOO IS SO PRETTY & HANDSOME LIKE OMG 😂😍🤭💯🍿🎥💻 I KEPT SAYING THIS EVERY EPISODE!!.. 🤷🏾♀️ AND I CAN’T BE THE ONLY ONE
"It really was Hannah Montana" 41:30 😂 thank you for your commentary on HisMan 2, I loved 'rewatching' every episode with you and hearing what you had to say. I was really looking forward to it every week! :)
The thing about dating shows in Korea and worldwide, most of the participants are there to get some media exposure and/or a foot in the entertainment industry, which is fair game. So, this was really entertaining, the editing played a big part as always with Korean shows. Hope everyone is happy and step up their communication game IRL lol.
I only found out about His Man when you said you'd be doing a recap and I wanted to thank you for introducing me to the show. It was a wild ride, one of the best things I've watched this year if I'm being honest. I didn't comment on any of the episodes, because I agreed with almost everything you said so I didn't have anything to contribute. Which is why I keep watching your content (I also started ep 1 of Exchange)(I don't want to boost your ego though)
minsung missed bad here. he chose jin but obviously they didn't work outside the show. daenyeol ❤ he deserves better so im happy for him. he was protective of himself not proud. id do the same. seongseong were end game and they're still happily dating to date 200 days omg ❤ so happy for them. i really enjoyed your reviews 🥰 you're so cute and so much fun
Okay so first i need to correct something: Hyeongjoon's letter was mistranslated. 사용하다 means to use. What he said word for word is "I used this well (this referring to the cookie box i think? U have to insinuate this thats the nature of some sentences in Korean. They dont need a clear subject object verb so sentences can be ambiguous compared to English). Our Minseong should always be happy. Next time we meet call me Daenyeol instead of Hyeongjoon (this clearly saying their relationship won't be romantic or personal in nature but professional). I'm still confused about the order of which things happened. Did HJ send the letter then MS made the decision? Why did HJ just choose not to call at all? Did he just... give up??? Tbh it means MS chose HJIN because HJ had already rejected him using the cookie box. Idk im just like trying to piece this together, the way they edited it was very confusing for me. Ive been saying it this whole season HJ got in his own way, but i also saw that MS temperment is not equivalent to HJ's in a sense. Idk its just kinda crazy how everything turned out. Your recaps were so fun!!!!! I enjoyed every minute of this.🎉🎉🎉
@@TheAmpliverse I am here and reporting for duty always 🫡 also tbh that wasn't the only translation during the show that was incorrect I will probably re watch and submit corrections since iqiyi has a function for that
16:47 22:00 😂😂 I've really enjoyed this commentary every week! There's another korean dating show thats just starting airing on Netlix, Love After Divorce. It's S4 and this season is all korean-americans and they're at a house in Cancun. Only the first two eps are out so far.
Yes please let's get Jeongwook out, i love him sm and he's the dearest, kindest human, he has such a pure heart🥺 he deserves all the love that the world has to offer
I was busy last week friday and Couldn’t watch so i watched today and i respect hyungjoons choice. He was totally right to leave that situation and protect his feelings. Even though my minjoon heart wanted it, it probably clouded my judgement on their feelings. My bad. Loved your commentary on this show and when season 3 comes out you bet I'm sashaying my ass back here 🎉 Love you guys Xx
your boys planet commentary was your introduction to me, it was so fun I subscribed during that time. and well… guess imma BL fan too of course I enjoyed every single video related to that, and your his man 2 commentary was my favorite along with boys planet, when i watch your video its like birds of a feather flock together, loved it! because i have no one to talk about all of it in real life
I always love your recaps cause if I don’t have time to watch the ep during the week I can listen to this while I do the dishes or in the car and be caught up! Also how serious are you about the “let us know?” for jung-ook? Cuz the internet can internet 👀
I see a lot of people solely blaming Minsung for what happened, and although he is partly to blame for not communicating his feelings soon enough, I also agree with Adam that HJoon made several poor decisions that ultimately led to their outcome. Throughout the show I noticed his tendency to shut himself away whenever things got complicated or uncomfortable. He'd avoid eye contact, he'd stay away from everyone, he wouldn't call or send a message or join a chat with Minsung at a time where it's vital to do so. I can see how that could cause Minsung to gradually lose confidence in him. Of course this happened when HJin stepped into the picture, but also when he thought Seonwoo liked Minsung in the earlier episodes. It's like he needed to be told "Okay, Minsung is free" before he started pursuing again, in a show where competition is inevitable. I do think the 2nd love triangle's poor communication all around caused things to be so tense between them, but as much as I was rooting for HJoon, I can't lie and say he didn't do anything that frustrated the hell out of me. It's probably because I was rooting for him that his choices frustrated me. But yeah, I don't think this kind of show was for him, and that's fine. It was just a week of his life. Even as a gay man where our options are comparatively limited, there are still plenty other chances out there than this. I should also add that we have no idea what exactly happened the entire time. We only know what was shown to us. A lot of important context could've been completely edited out or just not filmed.
I also felt like Joon shot himself in the foot. He kept saying: "I don't know how to express my emotions," and boy... that was true. But also reality television is awful and it must have felt really dystopian to be trapped in that house haha and forced to argue about who goes in which car to the grocery store lol. He's a great guy, and I hope he finds his happiness!
Yunghee and Seonwoo literally give me Jiwoo and Seojoon energy. Like it’s kinda uncanny how similar they look especially when Seonwoo wrapped his arms around Yunghee 😭😭 like that’s something SJ would do
I am here after finishing his man S2 and most of their latest videos and I m so upset how I missed this reaction video while watching his man. I love ur reactions and interpretation ❤
Had never heard of this series, checked it out on a whim because of your first recap, and now I'd like to thank you for my current hyper fixation, lol.
Lol, I love the self-assessment at the end, but I would also be the same. I was a mess at their age and would have been an emotional wreck! I'm actually impressed by how all 8 of them acted in that environment. The Junseongho couple ... courageous, decisive, communicative ... so proud of them!
What's more enticing about this season was, right after the show, regardless of their final decisions, they stayed friends. All the members started to thrive in their own careers. Minseong, Junseongho (Junseong x Seongho joint account), Seongho, and Younghee created RU-vid accounts. Dabit creates vlogs with the others whenever they hang out, and Hyeongjun created a separate documentary and reaction video (to which we got to learn more about their insights and behind-the-scenes stories about the show) in his YT account. He and Younghee also created another segment wherein they planned a 2-day vacation for all. We would be seeing a glimpse of Hyungjin's private life on Younghee and Hyeongjun's vlogs. We also were getting a lot of updates about Seonwoo since the other cast members would work part-time in Melted and it was funny because everytime cast member would work part time, it was like a mini meet (oh, to visit Melted). Junseong and Seongho's career skyrocketed and they were packed. Photoshoots here and there, and interviews. Their whole domestic weekly vlogs made me feel single each damn time. Imagine being able to find love within 8 days, and here I am, trying to pass the talking stage for more than 4 months,,,, it feels so unfair. But I sincerely love them both! All of them were pretty much active on social media (IG, X, YT, and Jeongwook on Twitch). some of them were already in a relationship and they would occasionally upload pictures of all of them hanging out together. Aside from the whole drama and love story that they gave us this whole season, we also became so invested in their bond as friends and I think that was more beautiful than the show experience itself. Also, HisMan3 was hinted at by the writers during the last commentary made by Hyeongjun on his channel. They said that the commentary would be the last official content from HisMan2 casts (not that they will never post content about their friend group anymore), and the writers were now preparing for HisMan3.
Really enjoyed these recaps!! I didn't have time to watch the whole show but you guys got me soooo invested in audio form. Really hoping for the best for all the his men men going forward. I'm expecting a Boys Love His Men2 update whenever you finally go to Korea to visit the gelato shop & take Jungwook on an extremely well-deserved date 😄 ps. Jackets look great
I've been thinking for a while. I don't think HJun did that out of pride, I think he simply decided to put himself first which was the best the best thing. The whole triangle was draining.
hyungjoon actually didn’t sign for that love triangle because he mentioned during his talk with hyungjin that he thought hyungjin backed off and was being supportive of their relationship but then he’s suddenly showing his affection to minseong so that’s why he got mad because now he’s confused.
hyungjin is a butch lesbian! like the way he princessed seonwoo on that date and helps minsung holding his cutting board in episode 3. i hope minsung got some good soft dom times after the show!
You boys can talk about Exchange all you like. I really enjoy that series too and hope they do another season. Would a queer season be out of the question?
@@TheAmpliverse You NEED to watch it it's so messy! It's like this show's messiness times 2 but make it straight and with exes, such a great watch and I'd support your patreon too if you did it
It is interesting to hear you because my opinion is completely different about Joon! For me, maybe he wasn’t as vocal and active as JS but it was always clear that he liked Misung. He was just more “simple” in the way he expressed himself. Maybe this way of acting didn’t match what Minaung wanted and that doesn’t make any of them bad but just not great together. Minding then open the door to hairdresser and Joon decided first to fight a little then saw it make Minsung uncomfortable and stopped, he waited and watched the person you like being flirty with other (here is where I don’t agree, you may don’t like jealousy but how can anyone expect Joon to don’t feel hurt if someone he like is flirting with someone else…. Like if you really like the person it is normal to feel bad about it (doesn’t make it someone unfitting for dating shows). Finally, even though I loved that Jusung never gave up and won at the end, I must say that I totally respect Joon for being done (and would have respected Junsung if he did it too). Because at the end of the day liking someone doesn’t mean you have to suffer and hurt yourself in the process…. It is not pride but moving on after seeing the whole situaion. God knows that for doing that one must be so strong and mature in my eyes
Adam, you've seen the old clip thats circulating of Seonwoo with Seventeen in their Dalcom coffee 'collab', right?! Sadly no DK, Seonwoo side-by-side but still a very "small world" moment!
The production saw something in junseong hence he was invited to join the show. I'm really curious how the others made it into the show. Seong ho applied to be in the show so i was wondering how the others was casted
So here's my own little story. I had been irregularly following YoungJay from some time (a year or two) before HM2 started airing, and was particularly fond of videos and vlogs with Mister Trainer. Vids with TK boy I had seen once or twice and I found him very cute, but much flirty for a straight guy . It took me the whole 14 episodes to connect the dots with Yeonghee , through some comments and the subthread on reddit. How did you two feel when you found out they were the same guy ?? I was dumbstruck .
Yeah I feel the same way. Joon did what he did to protect himself and his own feelings: I commend him for that. What killed them was that they both have terrible communication. I mean they slept next to each other for days yet never had a real conversation until their date, that almost didn't even happen, when they both had feelings??? 🤦🏿♀️ These dumbos.
I was hardcore team roommates, tracks A and B, but after Hyungjoon kind of threw a fit, I couldn't really blame Minseong for that choice. I was also wondering if it was a coincidence that the people who came out earlier seemed a bit more centered - JS, SH, and the maknae.
Can someone tell to me who's the real couple in it end? 😢 I'm still watching. Now episode 7... but i had hard time now. I wanna cry with someone who's the already watched that session.
I agree w EVERYTHING except for one thing, Adams comment about jealous people shouldn't go to dating shows... As a selfish viewer that's exactly what you need FOR THE DRAMAAA. Also Joon was so cunty cvn cvnt for that messy ass letter I'm sorry LMAO
