Ignoring the metaphor, realistically, attack will overwhelm an equally powerful defense simply because defence is static and without initiative. It is best to know when to use both to turn a defence into a powerful offence.
@@KL-cy1wcYes! This is after the Election Arc. A journey to an extremely dangerous place with numerous powerful resources called the Dark Continent is put together. The Dark Continent is where the Chimera Ants originated from. The Hunter Association is helping with this journey because they’re on a different mission that the general public doesn’t know about. The Kakin Empire are the ones who will pioneer the “Dark Continent” (they’ll get dropped off at a fake Dark Continent while the Hunter Association continues their mission), and on the way, the king has locked his 14 children, all varying in ages even down to a baby, in a death battle for the throne called the Succession War, a tradition of the empire. Those are the main basic story points but it’s missing the details. We’re not focused on Gon and Killua anymore, it’s shifted to Kurapika and Leorio. Well, mostly Kurapika, but we’re also focusing on what’s going on in the Black Whale (the ship that they’re taking for the voyage), and, let’s just say, there’s a LOT going on 😅
Halkenburg deserves to win this election. His cause is pure. He wants to end this war. Tho surely, the arc won't be good for him. More twisted princes have more power and likelihood to win the war. And it seems like there's something more to him. Kakin princes' nen beasts look more grotesque the darker a prince's heart is. He might be hiding something who knows.
@@NeoVault_ I don't know if he would go so far as to sacrifice the baby but given that the eyes and the Phantom Troupe are involved in this arc protecting the baby might not be his priority plus we know something weird must had had happened regarding Neon Nostrade so he might had failed, ditched her or even willingly get rid of her if he knew her power was being used by Chrollo, we will see how low Kurapika is willing to sink.
Look, call me an Elden Ring nerd, but why did my head immediately go to the haligtree knight's quote pop up in my head. "May the flash of our death guide Miquella home."
I really liked the cloak and dagger style that Togashi uses for the succession war. Sadly, it felt like I was reading a book, and even some panels had more text than any art. I'd love to see this arc realized into the anime because watching the characters try and find ways of taking each other out was really satisfying. Now, I'm not a mouth breathing neanderthal that doesn't like reading, I just feel like manga and comics are more dynamic than simply reading, and this arc was hard to get through because of the amount of text. Sometimes I just like to look at cool art and nice action shots.
I agree, it is incredibly text heavy. But without it I feel like they wouldn't be able to convey how complex all of their new abilities are and the strategic nature of the entire arc. There is just too much going on.
@@toastedtoad2441 Yeah, I knew that as I read they needed all the text to explain what was happening. With the laws set, you have to find clever ways for the characters to dodge the law and get their kills, and that meant tons of text. If I recall, Togashi's health was deteriorating at this time, too, so maybe the little bit of art was easier for him.
Well, because so many people said it was his laziness that cause Chimera Ant Arc in the manga had so little text and bad artworks. This time, I feel like he is mocking them back in some way.
With the amount of breaks and hiatus’ , I appreciate info dumps in the manga. Sure it’s a lot of text but with a possible 2 year hiatus I’d rather know more info and what characters are thinking with whatever characters have the pleasure with (Nobunaga) and many other characters. Mr. Togashi is giving you art and a great story. Not everything is about pumping out visuals
I'm with you, the manga became too baloon Heavy After chimerants ARC, I personally stopped and I'll wait for something to really happen 😂 I don't wanna read a book a week
This dude should be the king, he stood out as the best leader since the prince arc began. I'm thinking half the people on the whale gonna die though, maybe not half total, but half the ones we see.
Bro is going to die, basically because he dislikes bloodshed so as soon as he confronts one of his siblings he is probably going to be trick and kill or one of his followers is going to be a sleeping agent
I mean I don't think he's gonna pull back any punches. I just hope it's satisfying. 4th prince needs to do something really crazy and it has to be towards the end too. Hopefully his sacrifice will mean something to help Kurapika. Or there could also be an incoming plot twist that we don't see yet at the moment.
I'm really Team Halkenburg. He's the only one of the oldest princes who actually doesn't want to kill his siblings. Or I'm not sure if the princes being guarded by Izunavi also doesn't want bloodshed.
I think he’s TOO good and he’s gonna turn out to be a snake who’s more dangerous than the sadistic prince whose name is too long because he has greater ambitions
Don’t forget two of the princes are a toddler and a baby so for him to be king blood will be spilt and if he takes out the more sadistic princes first it falls on him to finish the job no matter what it’s not a gonna be a good time
I don't think it was confirmed that the soul returns to the body after the target dies. Last we checked, Halkenburg asked the guard waking up for some personally identifiable information to confirm if the soul in the guard's body is Benjamin's soldier or his dude.
His arrow is a emission and his armor is a hardened ko he didn’t break rules because he didn’t conjure anything. I don’t think his armor can stop ability like Camilla’s counter attack
it really saddens me that Togashi has set up an arc that is likely to stretch out for years, but due to his circumstances, instead it'll take him years to publish a chapter.
It isn't actually a guaranteed hit. Everytime he uses his arrow, he puts his life on the line. If he misses, he dies. But he is a world-class champion in archery
How does the hxh author come up with the abilities for his characters what is his inspiration and what advice do you have for devising a unique power system?
Definitely not pretending. He tried committing suicide when his father refused to end the succession war, but his nen beast prevented him from killing himself.
I feel like Hawkenburg is gonna have a fall from grace he's too utterly good there's almost no one in HxH just pure good really. Closest I can think of off the top of my head would be Leorio or Melody
His nen beasts ability is to enhance the abilities of his supporters when they are gathered together to achieve highest level among nen abilities. That's why Halk's own ability is so op. Now think about all of his followers awakening an ability. His team would be the single strongest unit in the series. And add post mortem nen on top of that.
We are actually not sure what happens after a subordinate dies or what happens to the soul of the original victim. Or did they say that in chapters 391-400 cuz there isn't a volume of them and I ain't reading it online
(I don’t know what happens in that chapter, but) We’re dealing with Mafia families and part of the Troupe got involved a little. We also learned the Troupe’s backstory. Those are the only things I can pull off the top of my head 😅
Okay so this guy is dead as hell right? The writing is on the wall. His aspirations are too noble. He's probably going to be taken out while his arrow is in flight.
