Dude I saw him when I was a kid, he had such a powerful presence you could feel his energy before you saw him. He Oozed SWAG!! He had more swagger than anyone I've ever seen. Everything about him was cool.
Elvis was The King of swag too! Everything about him just screams "coolest person on the damn planet!" 😎 My husband thinks that I have a seriously unhealthy obsession with Elvis! Yeh! SO!!!! 🤷🏼♀️ Colleen 🙂
I like your research before but look forward to videos. I love seeing your reaction. Elvis’s uniqueness is iconic. He left us a huge legacy. Must see this performance live 1970 Los Vegas ( that’s the way it is) I’m 81 and every time I see him I m a teenager again. Love Elvis for ever.
You should watch him do this song live from the stage in Las Vegas! Amazing charisma and he directed the band with his body and movements. You can see why he was called the King. He doesn’t just stand there and sing, the man put on a show! Such a great performance! This is the video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T1g5tVGZhfk.html
Yes yes yes!! I suggest the exact same performance. I love how he interacts with the band members especially the three I believe it is females. I hope he reacts to that one badly.
So much more to experience with Elvis! I always wish that a reactor would start from his beginning in music and move through the years to see how he grew. Best voice EVER!!! Best entertainer EVER!!! Love my Elvis!!!
He did over 700 songs and is listed in 4 or 5 halls of fame. He is the greatest singer/performer ever and is listed in 4 or 5 music halls of fame, as he could sing all genres.
You have got to watch "Jailhouse Rock"! But, make sure that you see the entire MUSIC VIDEO (MOVIE CLIP), because there were no music videos until ELVIS! I have always loved "Suspicious Minds"! I loved your glowing reaction of THE KING! You MUST go down the ELVIS rabbit hole...he had so much CHARISMA! PLEASE GO DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE; almost 800 recordings, 31 movies, and more awards than you can ever imagine!!! He, single handed revolutionized Music and Society!!! He was, is, and always will be the KING of ROCK and ROLL!!! THE GOAT!
The most beautiful voice the universe the most beautiful man the universe. More ELVIS reaction " What now my love " rehearsal 12/01/1973 Aloha from Hawai please please thanks thanks very much.
ALSO PLEASE RE-WATCH THIS WITH THE VIDEO IF YOU WANT TO SEE HIS SWAG AND WHAT HE CAN DO ON CAMERA YOU NEED TO SEE ELVIS IN PERSON LIVE THERE'S NOTHING LIKE IT ON THE PLANET I PROMISE YOU THAT! YOUR FAN FROM SUNNY CALIFORNIA DANNIE W❣️❣️
I absolutely enjoy your briefings on the song you're about to play. It does matter for you to have some of the context and background of the song, stuff that many of us knew just by having been there at the time. Looking forward to more!
You absolutely need to see the 68 Comeback Special...One Night With You and Trying to Get to You. Just incredible stuff. You asked for upbeat. You will love the live Comeback Special. He plays guitar to several of his songs too. Just fantastic!!
Elvis died a couple years before i was born, loved him all my life, and i completely understand what you mean when you say he transports you to another time, he's like this very special piece of Americana from the second half of the 20th century that i just love very much, and i'm not even an American lol, Elvis was just amazing. This is my favorite Elvis song btw, i think "Don't Be Cruel" might be second, it's from the 50's, but it's timeless 💖
I highly suggest you watch the live Las Vegas performance. The energy on stage is unbelievable. This performance alone explains the legend that is Elvis.
You have to watch this live in Las Vegas 1970. Amazing also Polk Salad Annie from same live performance. It was filmed as a movie called “Elvis, That’s the Way it Is”😊
Elvis has 2 very distinct voices, his raw voice and his fuller sweet voice. Id like to see you react to his older stuff like "Heartbreak Hotel" "One Night" "Dont" for starters..
I remember when this song came out, I was 9 years old and danced all over the house whenever this song was played on the radio. Even now, 53 years later, he still makes me get up and dance all over the house. There is no one like Elvis and never will be, I have loved this man since I was 5. There is ELVIS and then there is everyone else. More of The King!!!
I am 60 years old and I have been a huge fan from the time I was 8 years old and consider myself as an expert. I suggest you to every live version, they will blow you away. Elvis includes a lot of karate moves. Total charisma!!
I grew up hearing his music, watching his movies. He did his own choreography for the movie Jail House Rock, and watching it after Michael Jackson started doing his own music-after he broke from his brothers-you can see the impact the King of Rock had on the Prince of Pop. The first 45 record I ever had was Elvis' All Shook Up. I still love that song. Actually, I'll listen and enjoy any song he's done. He seems to be gaining a newer audience these days, I've seen RU-vid videos of young women doing something called a "shuffle dance" to Elvis's "Little Sister." It's one of the strangest things I've seen. A song that is 60-65 years old being enjoyed by teens and early twenty year olds like it's brand new off the presses. I love it! I hope you go through a lot of his music, Salvo. Your reactions are refreshingly authentic. 💙
To truly appreciate Elvis you really must watch his live shows. You will see how much he puts into his shows. A rue entertainer. He would often do two per night.
I adore Elvis. He could sing anything and I'd listen to it. I recommend "It's Now or Never" for a ballad. And for fun, the JXL remix of "A Little Less Conversation." I also love "Little Sister," "Devil in Disguise," and "Wooden Heart." Oh, and "Kentucky Rain" is gorgeous. Oh heck, just play anything by him and I'll watch.
Absolutely criminal how critics have treated Elvis since the beginning!!! How can we ALL be wrong? Who else after 47 years, he is still such a presence! What other artist can claim that? If you listen to his song Surrender, it just is mind blowing what his voice does on that one song alone!!!! Incredible! 🔥
BRO, ELVIS has a voice that when he sings a song, after hearing it a hundred times, it's always just like the first hearing it. A sample of my favorites includes "If I Can Dream", from the remastered 50th anniversary soundtrack, which is from the 1968 Comeback Special, White Suit. Aired live on TV, this song was a tribute to the death of Martin Luther King Jr. Also, from that same soundtrack, "Trouble/Guitar Man"; "Trying To Get To You". Also ""Bridge Over Troubled Water", Live, 1970. "Suspicious Minds", Live, 1970. From the Bob Seeger era, there are other icons from that general period. "Here Comes That Girl", Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers; "The Load Out/Stay", Jackson Brown; and in closing. "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" Elton John. All three of these artists have many mega hits to their name. First time watching your Channel, I Subscribed this evening. Looking forward to many hours of enjoyment! THANK YOU! 🤗
He was so charismatic that it is even apparent in his recordings. If you watch him live, his charisma will help you understand why he was called "The King".
Great Reaction! Elvis had such a rich, powerful voice, but in a split second he could bring it way down to a gentle, velvety caress. His face & voice showed his passion for what he was singing. You Never saw a mediocre performance from Elvis. You Never heard him sing a song he didn’t believe in. He was an incredible performer/entertainer, a generous, caring, & humble human being, who never forgot his extremely humble beginnings. If he could help someone he would. He said that God had given him a way to earn a lot of money, & it was there to help others who were in need. He was a deeply spiritual man. But of course, like all us, he had his shortcomings. I’ve been a fan for several decades, since I was a teenager & I’m now in my seventies. I like your introductory, where you give us a bit of background on the song. Thanks.
i will soon be 78 and grew up with Elvis from his very beginnings. I did not really appreciate him until after his death. He was very special and and the largest musical icon in US history. Listen to all of his 30 number one hits and then go to grace land for a tour...you will be taken back into history...yes , you will be transported back in time to experiance what we did ...those of us who lived through his musical career. db
Yes, I love the breakdown you do before the video. It allows you to get some context that other reactors don't do. As others have also suggested, the live performance in Las Vegas is epic. You should definitely check it out. Thanks And God Bless.
Lol Elvis is the father and king of swag!! Yes, I love the lil info dumps! Please continue:) Please give Love Letters and Steamroller Blues Elvis with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (pure Elvis swag on display) New sub :)
Hello great channel and reaction, i like you do the info before the song. I'm a big elvis fan and i grew up with him, its great to see the younger generation enjoying how big he was. Keep up the good work and your audio on your feed is fantastic. Thanks
Absolutely go down this rabbit hole. Be careful not to spread yourself too thin with artists. Do 3 to 5, finish them and add another as you go. So much great music from the 60s,70s and 80s. You are becoming one of my favorite reactors. Love the way you're delving into Boston.
I got my love of Elvis from my mother, who was a huge Elvis fan. When I was a little boy she gave me one of her Elvis albums which included this song. It also included her favorite Elvis song, Kentucky Rain. That would be another good one for you to check out.
I became a fan a certain August day.in 1969. I loved his film "Follow That Dream" earlier that day on TV and then I heard this song that evening. It was a solid lock.
Oh my gosh what a rabbit hole you can go down he has some of the best music ever. I'm someone that listens to let's say Eminem okay things like that well I listen to everything rock pop everything but I'm a rap fan Elvis Presley is one of my favorite artists of all times though! There are so many songs jailhouse rock, hound dog, little sister, I mean I can go on and on and on please I hope others help along with that list. But to answer your question yes please please keep doing the intros talking about what the song is about and all that I love that you do that! I said it before to you that I can't stand when reactors have no idea what the song is about or have any idea what the lyrics are about it just drives me nuts. One of the reasons you're my favorite reactor I think is because you do this please keep it up!! Find a Happy fan in sunny California Dannie W ❣️❣️
Definitely recommend watching this live in Vegas 1970!!!! Trust us, u wont be disappointed! Requesting 68 Comeback Special in white suit If I Can Dream & in black leather sitting down Heartbreak Hotel/Trying to Get To You/Lawdy Miss Clawdy
Do 68' Comeback Special Alternative cut where he sings Baby What Do You Want Me to Do (sit down version). Elvis is not only oozing sway, he is practically growling as he is feeling the music with every fiber of his being. Really an amazing sight to behold? And since the first is short follow up with Trying to Get Back to You. If you see those two, you will will completely understand Elvis's animal magnetism that made him notorious among the "established" 50s set. Kids loved him though. Elvis was raised poor and loved among the black community which heavily influenced his sound.
