I remember as a kid making the snowflakes!! But had no idea I was doing an old craft as I have never thought I was talented that way! I love the heart and hand! These would be beautiful framed and displayed with my antiques!! Thank you so much!!
I’ve been doing scherenschnitte since the 1990s. I used to buy patterns from Papercuttings by Alison, which is no longer in business. My favorite designer is Claudia Hopf. I have Carole Behrer’s book and have used her instructions for grain painting frames What a great video! Thanks for promoting heritage crafts! I have to try the heart and hand design-love it!
Hey Kandye! 😇👋❤ Greetings from Montana! I used to absolutely love making snowflakes out of construction paper this way when I was a child. My Mom would hang them all over the house and I would make a garland too that we would put around our Christmas tree! What a fun memory 😊 those Noah’s Ark designs were amazing! Very talented, indeed! I would frame them ❤ it was wonderful to see you this evening and get a little craft lesson in! Those books were beautiful! Have a blessed and beautiful week and see you next time! Your friend, Carla 😇🇺🇸🤠🇺🇸😇🇺🇸❤
Those are beautiful, Kandye! Thank you for sharing this in time for Valentine's Day. Perfect for this project! Stay blessed and keep your light shining! xoxo
Kandye, I missed this video when you brought it out last week. So glad to catch up. These are so pretty. Thanks for sharing. I will pray for your friend who is gone now. God bless you! Sue 😊❤
Awesome Kandye. Now this is something I can do...LOL I especially liked the hand and heart one. You find the most interesting crafting projects to share with us. I love it. I am mostly German in heritage So it is nice to see something that possibly my ancestors did at some point. Another winner for the books. Keep the faith Dear. You are always on my prayer list.
Hello Kandye! You sound like you are feeling so much better then a short time ago. Prayers answered for you nice to hear. Beautiful craft thank you for sharing. ❤
What a wonderful video! I made 3D Christmas tree ornaments by cutting out 2 trees, sewing them down the center, then folding them along the seam to have then be 3D. Also made snowflakes. My favorite project, though, was a pineapple that I framed. Its such a lovely craft!
Haven't heard of this in years, thanks for the reminder about it. I found a copy of that book, and am looking forward to going through it! I'm always looking for things I can do either sitting, or with a lap desk while having my legs elevated in my recliner.
Such a beautiful craft! I enjoy what you share, thank you. It's so interesting learning about this German craft. My maiden name is Einert. I know very little of my ancestry except that I am a Native of Heaven . Have a blessed week!
When my sister and I were little girls back in the 50’s my mom had some one do cut outs of our heads. My mom framed them. Perhaps my sister still has them. Curious
